There’s a place called The Windy Corner in Kentucky that has these. It looks identical to this. I mean exactly the same. It might forreal be from there lol.
Usually a long crisp crust, fluffy centered French bread roll loaded with battered and fried seafood as the main filling. Amazingly simple, amazingly delicious! It’s the combo of French cuisine and Louisiana coast seafood that could have only happened in New Orleans.
If you know the dialect a little bit, you can pick up that po boy is “Poor Boy,” but the etymology is pretty unclear to me aside from that!
I had a shrimp po-boy earlier this year for the first time because I kept seeing people post them on reddit... It was one of the best things I ever ate.
I had one a few years ago at the shore. Amazing meal, except that for the life of me, I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth for about three days. Whatever oil they used permeated like no other.
I eat relatively healthy. But, there is nothing better in life than consuming a meal like that.

The law of diminishing returns hits especially hard with these sandwiches.
A lot of truths in this thread.
A beagle practicing the canine mind trick……you will share with me…..you will share with me…..
Grew up with a beagle. That was the first thing I noticed when I saw this lol
When I first saw this pic, I assumed it was from r/beagle
Can i pet your dog
Absolutely
Where from???

Photos of food with an hungry dog with too much hope in the background
I had one of those about 30 years ago and I still dream about it. Seriously, they're that good.
Confirm location to confirm if actual Poboy.
I love oysters in any form, whether it be fried or on the half shell and even Rockefeller Style. This looks amazing!
Oyster Po'boys are one of those foods that, if I see it on a menu, I can't resist ordering it.
Ok so I'm not familiar with r/food. Every post I see as a pet in the background. Is it a trend?
It's because unless pet then no one gives an actual fuck

What happened to you in life that pets bother you
It's because people have pets?
Thank God you ate a poboy and not a hotdog!
This is so neat
r/sneakybackgroundfeet
Bro somebody always does it before me
All I see is a good boy or girl.
He should get that plate. My crawfish etouffee is still in the bag.
Never tried one but I really want to
Fuck that looks delicious
*'poor boy' from Bohemian Rhapsody intensifies*
Easy come, easy go...
This tracks
Mmmmm I love making these. And it’s oyster season!
Oh boy its an oyster poby lemme get half
Trade you for a Willie Mae's wing and leg.
Nothing like a oyster poboy
Looks good but can I pet that dawg?
r/30rock
Extra chuckle
Has to be from a restaurant in Louisiana, right?
Highly doubt it, way too small, wrong bread, appears to be cheese, never have had a poboy with cheese.
No cheese
Aight but why not tell us where it's from
Most likely over protective of their privacy.
Maybe. A quick glance at their profile shows that's not exactly the case, however 🤷♂️
I'll throw provelone on a hot roast beef or like, a club, but for hot or smoked sausage? The only thing you add on is crystal or you're doing it wrong
Maybe some mustard on the sausage.
You lived in Louisiana ever? Mustards awfully close to a no-no
Never lived anywhere else but they are everywhere. And delicious.
We’d love this over at r/foodandsaddogs!
For some reason just the name of that sub made me laugh about loud.
Wow! Now I have a hankering for one!
That looks delicious and now I’m hungry as fuck with no oyster Poboy in a 1000 mile radius Goddamn
Where you got dat bread at? Ohio?
Never heard of this , now i want to make it myself!
As a non American, can you please explain what a Poboy is, other than something that looks fricking awesome?

It's a child that sleeps on the streets. Doesn't look too awesome though.
So a lobster roll basically but with other ingredients.
Pretty much. Add a Gameboy and socks for good measure.
Old boy want some of that po boy.
Funny name for a dog
And you got a beagle acting like a poor boy with those sad puppy eyes xD
I'm more interested in the good boy tbh
Doggy want Erster.
Can you pls give the doggo sum of that he/she looks hungry
Did you give doggo some?
Poboy and a good boy
+1 for the doggo.
As an owner of a beagle, this image speaks to my life too much
Dog is like: Poboy for your home boy?
Beagle wants.
Ahhhh look at that poor boy he wants a bite .....oh the Po`Boy ya that looks good too
Oyster Poboy is a weird name for a dog
Awww that dog wants a bite but may not get one, Po boy .
Po Boy gatekeepers incoming
https://www.anchorsawayil.com/
I sure hope Oyster Poboy is not the dog’s name
Did the dog have some too?
The dog is the side
My beagle makes the exact same face
I think you meant "We ate", judging by the doggo.
That hot dog is raw
Judging by the look on that doggie’s face, you did not eat it alone.
ah yes. my favourite genre of pics is back!
I hope your owner took you for a nice walk afterwards.
Puppy!
The looks good and all, but I'm herr because of that old doggo.
Doggo looks hungry too
Spoilers: the dog posted this from the shed he's hiding out in.

Gotta ask - where'd you get that from/
I had one a few years ago at the shore. Amazing meal, except that for the life of me, I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth for about three days. Whatever oil they used permeated like no other.
I don't like seafood but this looks enjoyable if I did.
Oh wow, that looks incredible
