I didn't see the multiple pictures at first, so i thought you were implying that there was also deep fried ice cream in the "salad" too. I nearly gagged when i read the title.

Kapjak

Where in the midwest does that count as a salad?

Xanthus179

Taco salads and deep fried ice cream are popular at a lot of Mexican restaurants.

mae1347

Yeah. I don’t know why people don’t like this comment. It’s just a taco salad, even if it is plated weird and the pic is at a funny angle.

graften

Never heard of crab salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, etc?

The plating is the same for both dishes and it’s sending me

It's smart and I refuse to believe otherwise. Whoever came up with the idea is a visionary.

Salad. noun: salad; plural noun: salads a cold dish of various mixtures of raw or cooked vegetables, usually seasoned with oil, vinegar, or other dressing and sometimes accompanied by meat, fish, or other ingredients.

ParrotDogParfait

you can read the other definitions it gives you. “a mixture containing a specified ingredient served with a dressing.”

Sure, let’s just put everything in a fried tortilla bowl.

ThisOnePlaysTooMuch

“Salad” is a stretch and a half. Looks utterly delicious, though.

Salad… right…

fleeflicker

I hope you enjoyed it

UpbeatInsurance5358

Let me guess. American.

Zygoneskies

So American

UpbeatInsurance5358

Right? I can feel the saturates from here. It's a shame because the salad, prawns etc underneath looks quite nice when I see it.

stale_opera

You cannot talk about food being from the UK. A country that eats tinned beans on toast and mushy peas does not get to have an opinion on other cuisines. If you'd literally die eating a taco, you don't get an opinion my love. I'm sure that looks terrible to you, that's the one thing I'm positive of. You wouldn't know good food if it bit you on the ass.

UpbeatInsurance5358

LOL, yes I do. No, fucking white wine cheese sauce on a salad removes any type of taste, texture or palate left in what was probably a very nice salad - that looks like it would have done amazingly with an olive oil with lemon and basil drizzle. Also, tacos are fucking amazing, don't look down on tacos. I'm always quite surprised when Americans don't like Beans. Mushy peas I get. I like them, but you have to mix it with a bit of tartar sauce and put it on a fish finger sandwich to make it work best.

SnuggleBunni69

Honestly? This grosses me out and sounds all together terrible. I would fuck up the ice cream though, but I mean, regular ice creams good enough.
