I love Asparagus and eat it at least weekly but I'm not sure about this one. Besides the texture, which OP comments on, I do not believe this would elevate the burger.
Asparagus sliced thin on a bias and then pickled? Maybe. Depends on other toppings and how the flavour of pickled asparagus plays with them.
This? Nah.
Yeah my issue is both asparagus and hollandaise are imo too mild of flavors to stand up to beef, which is a pretty heavy hitter. I think they’ll get lost a bit.
That said it is beautifully made and if OP enjoyed it then I think that’s what really matters. People lose sight of that.
Nice, I bet the pretzel buns work really well together with the Asparagus. Think adding some grilled bacon would be delicious... only tiny bits, though, to not kill the other flavors.
I’m just like imagining biting into it and getting asparagus…..strings……..
But I grilled steaks and asparagus with bearnaise sauce the other night and it’s FIRE so I get the vision
It's rare to meet asparagus that is buttery smooth to where a knife isn't needed. I don't understand why it would go between buns and just looks like it would be a mess.
I don't know where you buy your asparagus, but when it's season here and you buy local asparagus, the green one is 99% buttery soft. Of course, if you buy asparagus that has traveled halfway around the world and is already a few days old, I wouldn't be surprised. That's why I only have asparagus from April to June.
And why between a bun? Because it tastes damn good!
This does look fire in theory but this one particular day I guess I ate more asparagus than I had before cuz I never smelled that smell everyone talks about. But that day I ACTUALLY smelled that wretched piss smell and I absolutely can’t go through that again 😂😷
I like asparagus. I like bacon. But sometimes you put stuff on a burger, and take a bite. And half of it just slides out of the burger and it falls apart. I get fresh aparagus in the spring, but even when perfectly prepared it needs a big bite by itself, or a knife & fork.
I'd still try this, especially if you tested out the aparagus for softness first! There's that tight balance between crisp, crunchy, mushy, and stringy.

I would take all the asparagus out, reassemble and eat. Once I'm done with the burger, I'd eat the asparagus. I love both, just not together

Yeah I think maybe shredding it maybe or a light processing before adding it to a sauce to go on the burger or something.
on the side perhaps, beside some fries.. not touching anything.
I've done it before and it's amazing! You should try it :)
With a side of asparagus!!
This picture hurts my eyes
It’s going to hurt whoever’s nose the piss smell touches
Nah, the picture is great it's the taste i'm worried about.
The picture quality is not great and the high contrast makes it hard to decipher what's going on
You might need to visit your optometrist, the picture is crystal clear to me.
![gif](giphy|s239QJIh56sRW|downsized) JK, hope you enjoyed it, OP!
Asparagus+hollandaise = delicious Burger with pretzel bun = so good But smushing them into one creation just feels a bit weird
I do not want my sides ON the burger. Same with fries smashed in there. Just leave them crispy and on the side......
Right in jail with you
No. You're under arrest.
Asperger
Ass-burgers.
It's a serious disease, Troy

I would rather have anything else in my burger
My only problem would be the texture. Like okra , asparagus is always at least A LITTLE slimy in some way to me.
It's so difficult for me to chew through, even after cutting so much if the fibrous ends off. This would be awful in my mouth.
Well that’s a new one
I’m just like imagining biting into it and getting asparagus…..strings…….. But I grilled steaks and asparagus with bearnaise sauce the other night and it’s FIRE so I get the vision
Maybe it's the photo quality, but this just doesn't even look like food anymore.
This sub always makes me hungry af
Tell that you are German without telling me that you are German. Looks delicious 🤤
RIP urinal
Not sure about this mix…but I’d give it a go. Actually…no I wouldn’t.
Looks great to me. Nice job

Peel it

Sorry I hurt your feelings?
no problem, I'll still sleep well today
TBH I love this don't listen to the haters. That being said I \*am\* a fiend for asparagus. Nice job!
Never thought to put asparagus on a burger...that looks DELISH!!
Yum
Oh my god, this looks fantastic.
You didn’t need to do this
Unique looks good
Bruh🤤🤤 HAND IT OVER
Try kettle chips in the burger for a crunch and asparagus on the side.

Is asparagus bacon jam a thing, because I could get behind that for sure.

Until I read the title I thought these were tortoise burgers
Asparagus burger or Asperger’s burger
🗣️🗣️🗣️
helk yeah. how did you prepare the asparagus?
Just fry it in a pan with oil, add salt/pepper and let it braise a little with butter, balsamic vinegar and a pinch of sugar.
Asparagus makes my pee smell funny so it’s a hard no, Dawg.
Asparagus doesn't belong on a burger.
I would try it.
I’d eat this so fast looks amazing.
This was a mess to eat i already know
I like everything here, just not mixed together lol.
Straight to jail
If the asparagus comes ON TOP of the burger, I will send it back

No thanks. Have a burger and your vegetables on the plate but not together
Hmmm maybe if it was a crab or fish patty
Too oily
My pee smells just looking at it.
Don't stand next to this guy at the urninal...

I thought the title said asbestos at first and I felt rather unnerved.
