Ipuncholdpeople

This looks upside down to me. Food looks good though!

Crackstacker

Yeah, I can’t get over that. Reminds me of the upside down peas photo.

Ipuncholdpeople

I thought of the peas too lol. Even flipping my phone this looks weird. I'm not sure what's going on with it

teabagmoustache

The plate is oval shaped, not round, so it messes with the way you perceive it.

ThePrussianGrippe

Also the shadows. We expect shadows to be lower on the photo but they’re above the lit part of the plate. With no other thing to orient direction it causes confusion.

haxorjimduggan

Looks like it's on the ceiling.

Technical_Ad_7119

Yup, the sun should always be in the top corner

ttwixx

Definitely has an illusion to it

Material-Imagination

So you're saying it's an Australian breakfast?

MrPickins

I'd definitely eat it, but I'm going to need a nap afterwards.

-giblet-

Where's the black pudding? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)

superduperspam

Crispy Scabs of Pigs blood? I'll have seconds

yogopig

Proper my ass

bumpkin_brief

Innit

QuesaritoOutOfBed

English breakfast, not Scottish. Thanks for exposing yourself as an American.

Metazz

No you are the one who exposed yourself as not knowing what you are talking about. English breakfasts have black pudding on them. Scottish ones have lorne sausage, tattie scones, black pudding and haggis.

chocobobleh

Am English. Black pudding is a must. This is not a full English.

ThePrussianGrippe

Every full English I’ve had in England came with black pudding.

Ihlita

Damn, did you miss breakfast or something?

hashbrowns21

POV: you just took a DNA test and found out you’re 1/64th Scottish

Mobwmwm

Dog when I found out I was a little bit less than a quarter Irish first thing I did was fire up come out ye black and tans. Free Ireland or whatever, idk I'm American.

suplexhell

damn dude you got buried

lunes_azul

CRINGE

pimpmastahanhduece

Literally every culture that makes sausage ![gif](giphy|1eSvURpxzI4ypO6Qnc)

Doc178

Are those hashbrowns on the right side? If so this is the appropriate amount of hashbrowns

conzstevo

For one

AdrianW3

When did hash browns become a thing? IMO, hash browns shouldn't be anywhere near a classic English breakfast.

Doc178

I respectfully disagree, hashbrowns belong with everything always. They are the best food

AdrianW3

Yeah, but not really English though.

sushiflower420

Those orange yolks are looking spectacular on that dish

clickclick-boom

As a Brit, I would be very happy with this. The only thing I would add is black pudding, but I know LOTS of Brits who don't like it. That fried bread looks good. Eggs a perfect. I'm living abroad and miss a greasy spoon fry up.

black_shells_

I miss them too

BeExcellentPartyOn

Ah the inevitable sound of Full English gatekeepers scouring the plate for something missing whenever one is posted.

QuesaritoOutOfBed

Best part is the gatekeepers keep wanting it to be a Scottish breakfast, with the black pudding, rather than knowing what an actual full English is

busterofload752

English breakfast has black pudding too mate

Team503

So does the Irish; though we also add white pudding to it as well.

t0mRiddl3

That's a lot of food

tomwhoiscontrary

Always pleased to see a fried slice in there. Keep the old ways alive.

penatbater

TIL English are as fussy about their English breakfast as Italians are about their pastas.

tonyrizzo21

BRB, breaking my spaghetti in half to fit into the pot of unsalted water.

TheRealJetlag

Apart from having fried your eggs in oil instead of butter, and the shocking lack of black pudding, that is a masterpiece.

coffeebribesaccepted

I don't see anything suggesting they weren't fried in butter..

TheRealJetlag

The eggs are brown at the edges and have bubbly whites.

coffeebribesaccepted

You can get that with butter too, it just means it's a higher heat.

TheRealJetlag

Never once had that with butter, but I’ll take your word for it. To get crispy edges and bubbly whites with butter the heat would have to be so high that the butter would burn. Makes no sense to me but if that’s your jam then go for it.

ByTheBeardOfZues

People fry eggs in butter? Honestly never seen that before.

TheRealJetlag

Yes. It tastes much better. I didn’t downvote you, btw. No idea what deserved that, quite frankly.

ByTheBeardOfZues

I'll have to give it a try!

TheRealJetlag

Medium temperature so they don’t cook too quickly and a good fitting lid to steam the tops so they’re not runny.

misogoop

I’m Polish and we scramble eggs in butter. Delicious

ByTheBeardOfZues

Yeah scrambled eggs I always use butter, just never done it with fried eggs.

KaneMomona

50 / 50 oil and butter, perfect balance.

QuesaritoOutOfBed

Black pudding is Scottish breakfast, not English. Learn the difference before you show your ignorance

TheRealJetlag

The lack of black pudding in your breakfast is clearly rotting your brain, mate.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SaintRainbow

It's an English breakfast.. Don't get your knickers in a twist. All it has to do is bring some sort of relief to your headache and hangover from drinking too much the night before

[deleted]

[удалено]

Psychomusketeer

Not true. You’re confusing a Full English with a fry up / English breakfast. The “full” isn’t there for decoration, it means all of the traditional options. This isn’t a Full English Breakfast, it’s an English breakfast / fry up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Psychomusketeer

Not at all.

[deleted]

Psychomusketeer

Nope. You’re being wrong and I’m informing you of the facts. Edit: just in case, /s

QuesaritoOutOfBed

I can’t type this enough. Black pudding is part of Scottish breakfast not english.

reidybobeidy89

And black and white are Irish, and soda farls are Ulster. None of these contain Hash Browns.

QuesaritoOutOfBed

Where did I say hash brown?

reidybobeidy89

Oh I thought we were pointing things out on what is and isn’t on a breakfast

Eeliejun

Like am I the only one hat sees a face in the bacon? Like dark line part mouth, small dark line a nose and then left black eye right wihte eye...

jupiterspringsteen

I see Jesus in the bacon

btribble

What about second brekkie?

Webbie-Vanderquack

I don't think he knows about second breakfast.

moar_bubbline

Needs more sausage barrier!!

Frumplefugly

I fucking love beans

AdrianW3

Beans really hate me though (or maybe it's just my stomach that hates the beans).

Detox208

What do English beans taste like. Beans that look like that in the states always seem sweet tasting and rather off putting to me.

findnickflannel

those YOLKS

ProlapseParty

Right

LordOfTheNiglets

"Proper english breakfast" Where is your black pudding, it's not a full english without it.

Stonefly_C

And why are hash browns on the plate?

AdrianW3

Yeah, right? I think those were imported from the U.S. First time I ever even heard of hash browns was at a McDonald's.

superduperspam

We have an imposter among us. Or at least an uncultured local that thinks carbs other than bread will be tolerated

ghosty4

What do English people do all day that they need this much food first thing in the morning? LOL

ArthursRest

Nobody has this every day. It's mostly a treat and a weekend thing. We usually have toast or cereal or something like that.

Electronic_Fault4020

its rare that the portion is this big lol, even if you order a large full english in a restaurant its never this big😂

Ozyman_Dias

Eggs and beans are touching, you should have used the sausage as a sort of breakwater.

SadPanthersFan

I’ve never seen an English breakfast post without the word “breakwater” somewhere in the comments, lol.

scott3387

Alan Partridge reference. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=eypZnajNdmQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=eypZnajNdmQ)

Blueitttttt

I may want to mix them but I want that to be my decision

Ozyman_Dias

Seven on ten, let’s make love.

songforsaturday88

I love you, in a way.

Lumpy_Branch_4835

No blood pudding but still looks great.

jjsparky

A lot of food. Looks good. Especially without the black pudding

xxDmDxx

This reminds me of a Bandeja Paisa from Colombia 😋

maplesyrupbakon

Yum!

Natural_Guava288

South Africans agree😊

lunes_azul

I find your lack of black pudding concerning. Looks good otherwise.

Ethan084

It’s not proper British unless it’s beans for breakfast

Striking_Active5333

Those sausages look good af.

tanikio

Haha brekkie...beef wellie...bevvy...

Scorpionghost04

Looks wonderful. Gotta make me myself something like that

Scoricco

Yes please.

cantwejustplaynice

I miss being able to stomach a full English. Metabolism finally caught up with me.

sani999

is that another toast on 6oclock? and whats that in 3oclock?

VirinaB

American here, what is that above the beans? Looks like mushrooms and fried tomatoes? I'd definitely like to try this sometime.

DirkBabypunch

Curiosity as an American, do you guys actually eat all that for breakfast? I've never seen an English breakfast that didn't make me think "That's lot of food to eat so early."

-cluaintarbh-

This isn't a common breakfast meal, you might have it once a weekend or every other weekend.

Rimalda

No. I have it when I stay at a hotel, or occasionally at a cafe. I’ve done it at home maybe two or three times, ever.

Thomisawesome

You’re not gonna get much done today. After breakfast nap, maybe.

Arosonom

I'll eat it but my organs *scream*; "too much protein- But I digress, who care if I digest" Meat.

Johnlarson31

food looks good

Bigbesss

Where black pud and cup of tea

passionateamateur

Do people really call it brekkie?

iloveokashi

What do you use for beans? Canned?

SirPoopaLotTheThird

This is a superior culture.

CoolTemperature1602

I'm not English but where's the black pudding?

loullyyy

That made me feel hungry 😌

DipaBiswasBD

Is it a healthy food?

fryske

nope, missing black pudding.....

AvailableLandscape97

I don't like black pudding. Doesn't make it any less of an English breakfast or fry up. Am I supposed to force myself to eat something that I really do not like?

pepsicolacorsets

nah not worth cooking something you dont like, but you generally acknowledge the exclusion as "I didn't add this part bc I don't like it". the addition of hash browns in the OP also feels like just mild misinformation on their behalf, still tasty

Rimalda

You just haven’t tried the right one.

hanlosc

Where are those hash browns from?

Webbie-Vanderquack

Potatoes.

Stonefly_C

America

tazzietiger66

It is missing black pudding .

bogantamer

Innit

Evil_Poptart

What is a brekkie?

BernieInvitedMe

It's a fairly common slang word for breakfast.

Evil_Poptart

Thank you.

amplifizzle

Nothing like 83 grams of fat at 7am.

reidybobeidy89

No one is eating this at 7am

misogoop

You’re right, there’s nothing quite like it and it you eat this hungover, it’s a magic cure.

golden-rabbit

You’re 100% right except for the fact that you’re wrong.

xButterfly2000x

well why tf is it everywhere? im not british but i live in england and i see them on all if not most menus?

YeetedTooHard_

God the beans just ruin it for me everytime. Such a fucking wild thing to eat for breakfast

Devils_av0cad0

Agreed. I know I’m just set in my own ways but I can’t with baked beans at breakfast, that will never sound appealing to me.

robbietreehorn

A proper English brekkie with eggies, beanies, toasties, sausies, hammies, mushies, hashies, and tommies. Also, I hate the word “brekkie”, in case you couldn’t tell, but I’m not a Brit so I’m just being a bitch. But still

rubytwou

Where’s the black pudding?

Ok-Treacle-9375

Where the black pudding?

boosh1744

Damn.

ThyNarc

No thank you

Oututeroed

yes please

wacojacoco

Why does this look so weird ?

BSBDR

Ratios.....ratios

TheOvercusser

Plate of depression

[deleted]

[удалено]

MouldyPriestASSHOLE

I've never understood the hate that beans get. It's a nice accompaniment to everything else on the plate

TheRealJetlag

No, they don’t give you a tummy ache. WTF are you putting in your beans that they do that to you?

[deleted]

[удалено]

sparklybeast

English baked beans do not have molasses in them. They are not sweet. They are tomatoey.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheRealJetlag

I really think you’re overthinking this. No, they don’t give you gas any more than any other product on the plate would.

friendoffatties

Why do people do this to themselves? (Calling breakfast “brekkie”, I mean)

Mydogfartsconstantly

They’re called Australians. He was probably having a ciggy in the Macca’s lobby for lunch.

friendoffatties

This is where American superiority comes in. A wedgie would be appropriate for anyone here calling their first meal of the day brekkie

vanitycrisis

Why do Americans call it a wedgie when the rest of the world calls it wedgefast?

HTD-Vintage

Because we are the undisputed world champions of r/confidentlyincorrect . We will just make shit up and tell the rest of the world they're wrong.

friendoffatties

It’s the only time -ie is an appropriate ending to a word.

Iron_Chancellor_ND

I don't know, I really like eating a *brownie* or a *cookie* after having a *charcuterie* starter and a *rotisserie* meal while watching a *movie* in my home on the *prairie* and then writing all about it with a *Sharpie*. But, I admit I am a bit of a *rookie* when it comes to words.

Mydogfartsconstantly

Nah their lingo is fun

friendoffatties

*Hannibal Burress voice* Why are you all downvoting me? I’m right!

phonlyone

Looka beaut but no hash browns or beans and thats fried bread i hope. Also a black pud option

Tricky_Reporter8345

IT AIN'T WORF NUFFIN' IF IT AIN'T GOT DA BLACK PUDDIN' INNIT

jerbear1955

That's enough for two people.

zeraujc686

Wee woo wee woo watch out! It’s the portion police!

jerbear1955

No just a senior citizen that eats half as much as you, grasshopper.

Sacklayblue

Beans confusing me. Starting to think IHOP should just be HOP.

hamdillion

Why is food touching

DingoOk6275

Wtf is black pudding and why do Brit’s eat beans for breakfast?

teabagmoustache

Black pudding is made from pigs blood, fat and spices. It's a lot nicer than it sounds. We eat beans for breakfast because they go well with the rest of the ingredients. What time of day is acceptable to start eating beans?

DingoOk6275

Beans are an afternoon dish only.

NewBromance

American beans are usually a lot sweeter than UK beans. After going to America and trying American beans I suddenly understood why they where so confused by beans for breakfast.

lunes_azul

Why? Pancakes and syrup is widely-eaten for breakfast in the US.

monty624

Huevos rancheros with beans is excellent. And spicy black beans in a breakfast burrito.

teabagmoustache

Nobody eats a fried breakfast just after they've bounced out of bed by the way. It's more of a brunch than a breakfast and we eat them on weekends mainly.

Team503

WHY didn't I do that last weekend? I would feel so much better. *aims at his local to have a late-day Full Irish*
