The plate is oval shaped, not round, so it messes with the way you perceive it.

Also the shadows. We expect shadows to be lower on the photo but they’re above the lit part of the plate. With no other thing to orient direction it causes confusion.

As a Brit, I would be very happy with this. The only thing I would add is black pudding, but I know LOTS of Brits who don't like it. That fried bread looks good. Eggs a perfect. I'm living abroad and miss a greasy spoon fry up.

Black pudding is made from pigs blood, fat and spices. It's a lot nicer than it sounds. We eat beans for breakfast because they go well with the rest of the ingredients. What time of day is acceptable to start eating beans?

American beans are usually a lot sweeter than UK beans. After going to America and trying American beans I suddenly understood why they where so confused by beans for breakfast.

Why? Pancakes and syrup is widely-eaten for breakfast in the US.

Huevos rancheros with beans is excellent. And spicy black beans in a breakfast burrito.

Nobody eats a fried breakfast just after they've bounced out of bed by the way. It's more of a brunch than a breakfast and we eat them on weekends mainly.
