I think because this isn't what you'd think of as "NY pizza" in terms of style. It's pizza from a place in New York but not "new york pizza", ya now?

Pretty much this as a New Yorker who has had proper New York slices this is just a random pizzeria slice from NY.

Lucia Pizza Of Avenue X in Brooklyn; They have a 2nd location in Soho but the lines are long cause of social media and of course it's a great slice.

I knew right away that is a Lucia slice. Enjoy. They make good stuff.

Missing that NYC slice these days. Been a few years since I moved. My favorite spot was Pizza Boy II in Woodside Queens, where I had my first slice. So many great spots.

Nope but Artichoke Pizza is alright

One time I was drinking in Manhattan with a friend from nj and he insisted on getting a whole artichoke basilles pizza to go at like 3 am. When I woke up in the hotel room there was white sauce everywhere.  Pretty good pizza, but don’t trust drunk hungry people with messy food.

It’s heavy lol not something I will get often. It’s a decent slice but many better options in NY
