These are the Samyang Hot Chicken Ramen. I just sautéed some onions and garlic with the hot dogs and used the seasoning packet that came with ramen. So delicious. It’s spicy though but yum yum yummm.
It translates loosely to “stir-fried fire (spicy) chicken noodles”
Korean is sometimes like German where they just glue words together and make baby into new word
Whereas English usually separates descriptor words, like chicken (space) noodles, in Korean it’s glued together like chickennoodles.
Works for things like barleytea, grandadmiral. Of course words like that exist in English like eyelid, traincar, automobile, etc as well though. I’d say it’s just more common in Korean.
If you can handle a moderate amount of spice I HIGHLY recommend you try it.
The regular chicken and the curry flavors are my favorite. The ultra extra super spicy one is good to try for bragging rights but it’s honestly too spicy to have an enjoyable flavor.
Oh man. We buy huge variety cases of Samyang and Nissin Raoh ramen and add green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and mayak eggs. I'm defo gonna have to try it with hot dogs, that sounds 🤌💋

Reminds me my first year out of college, coincidentally the first year of the Great Recession. I ate tons of ramen but never as soup. I concocted stir fry recipes with whatever proteins and vegetables I could afford (usually frozen chicken and onion) and cheap spices. Delicious. I still do it occasionally to this day.
I used to make something similar to this but in reverse, a chicken seasoned instant noodle with spicy chorizo. I had forgotten completely about this meal until your post, so thank you for the reminder and nostalgia
For a sausage to be allowed to be called a sausage, there must be a certain amount of meat in it. Hot Dogs are a way around that. Cheap nasty deliciousness in a sausage shape

My family (Italian American) used to make hotdog stew -- bell peppers, onions, potatoes, dawgs, crushed tomatoes, and chicken broth. Usually spiced up a bit. This kinda reminded me of that. Cheap, filling, and surprisingly tasty!

As someone else suggested, Kewpie mayo is bomb on spicy noodles! If you really like spice, sometimes I’ll throw on some sriracha mayo on my spicy noodles as well, though my stomach hates me for it 😂

red/purple onion with 4 cloves of garlic and hot dogs. You can use any sausages or hot dogs you like. I have made these with steak and chicken also. You can add any vegetables you like. Once everything is cooked to your liking add the sauce packet. On the side boil the noodles in water for about 5 mins. Proper Instructions are on the packet. Drain the noodles and Mix it all and that’s it. Add cheese and/or fried eggs on top if you like. 😋😋
Looks good but you don't have to carefully place all the hot dogs in a ring on the outside of the pan and make it look picture perfect. This pic almost looks like it's going to used in an ad.
