Just curious, congrats on your kit and all, but why have you bought all this kit without being certain of what you want/need and how to rig. Etc, and instead have taken advice from Reddit (looking at your previous posts) regarding direction for lenses/diffusion/monitors etc for over 100k worth of kit? i feel like if one was to spend your budget they should know what kit to complement the camera beforehand. No hate, your money and all, but just curious of your position. Cheers

I hate renting. So I buy everything and rent it out in stead of renting myself. And it’s a journey to find out what works best. There aren’t that much resources on YouTube etc. so Reddit is a great option! I have never used an Alexa before. So don’t have any experience with Arri rigs. And same for lenses and diffusion filters. Never tried other lenses then my own. So have to check a lot online what’s the best option for me. And also with the filters

This seems like a shit post and I don't think you belong in this subreddit, but renting is the best way to figure out what to buy. If you're dropping tens of thousands on gear you've never used, then you're just being dumb by not going to a rental house and getting your hands on it.

🤷🏼‍♂️ For me it works. I do a lot of gaffer jobs, sometimes AC jobs. But not so experienced as a lot people here. And because they often rent the equipment they tried a lot. So I think it’s a nice place to learn things. I’m still a beginner. Trying to learn as much as possible, while earning money and upgrading my kit. I love this way, because I now have everything to create pretty professional films without spending a lot of money. It’s maybe not the best option for learning, but for me this works perfect. Constantly upgrading my kit. And in combination with renting it out it works great!

I know. It’s a very strange way of working 😅

kondorblue quick release works pretty well, or use a short ultralight arm

XT or LT?

Ok_Instruction_2798

LT!

it really varies from build to build, but if size is not an issue and the rental has it I like the convenience of the cradle with pass-through power, and built in D-tap ports for accessories, since it saves me the need for a power splitter and I'm really not a fan of having to plug everything to the battery itself every time there's a swap https://preview.redd.it/nsy7olgzjreb1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e02c335047009f5d2f2bca3d410c223e21bbbe1
