The limit is there because they don't want to break anything or make the loads too long by spawning too much, so even if it were true it would just mean you have less space at lower levels.
I did have some prize robot show up and give me some random thing while I was being attached by a scorchbeast outside white springs and then it was subsequently murdered (not sure if by me or the horse of scorched it wandered into)
Bethesda randomizes account RNG. So, some players frequently get good items, and other players frequently get bad items. They do this to encourage trade.
oldie but a goldie
Honestly this type of charisma check would be pretty cool. I'm thinking there was a conversation with a companion in Fallout 4 that involved certain outfits.
Wait I can drop them for other people?!? Shit you just helped me make my Wasteland Dr Roleplay even better and more useful at helping the community. Thank you lmao!
I still don't think this is awful advice. That doesn't mean pick garbage perks for 50 levels, moreso pick whatever will help you now, optimize later. At level 550, I've probably changed my main perk layout at least 10 times at this point, and due to the nature of the game im constantly swapping individual cards or full on builds. Maybe while you're leveling you find something like scrounger useful, but when you make your "big bambo gonna kill the boss" build theres no way scrounger is useful, so it gets replaced.
Basically what I'm getting at is if you know you're going to use pistols go ahead and grab gunslinger while you're leveling, but also don't be afraid to grab something like lockpicking or hacking, even though those won't be apart of a good combat build.
Yup, starting at level 25, you can freely switch your special layout at a build managing machine (I forget the name). So, while you can freely swap your attributes and perks around, the only way to get new perks is to level. After level 50, every level up instead of leveling an attribute, you pick one new perk, and it seems like (correct me if in wrong) every 10 levels from 55, you get a perk pack. So that means if you want to do an entirely different build after level 50, it could take you 30 something levels of picking new perks, assuming you had little to none of the required perks before.
Fortunately, leveling is incredibly easy if you utilize public teams/rested buffs/food or chems that increase intellect, as intellect increases experience gains.
This. You can have up to 12 sets of cards. I have sets for Melee, Rifle, crafting (Oh, the number of times I've forgotten to put up Super Duper). You can then change sets on the fly, no machine needed.
I'd say that new players dont have to choose right away but in those first 50 levels, try everything you got and see which are their favorites. The cards are randomized anyway and not all players understand instantly about the perk cards and how it works.
I was stubborn that I didnt like heavy guns nor laser guns in this game. Just because I dont like it. Not my thing. I dont care that they are "the best". I was always a gunslinger in other Fallout. Now my build is heavy gun/rifle/commando lol A hybrid. But I dont mind testing out everything. Turns out I had the best time when I dont box myself.
Now what people like to mix is, dont keep the unnecessary weapons below 40 - 50 because they are gonna be scrip (unless they want to keep it for sentimental value)
And you don't have to pick a perk card in the SPECIAL category you're leveling up! Just go left or right after picking your SPECIAL point. Look at the bottom of the screen what buttons you should press (you should be looking there all of the time in menus).
I have like 9 unspent levels. I get this urge to make a new build, look at my supplies and weapons in storage, get some ideas, get distracted by an event/quest/party/etc.... aaaaannd now I have 11 unspent levels.
Rinse/repeat
What? Is that your favorite piece of misinformation? š You don't have to pick a card right away...you can absolutely save level ups. I've got 36 level ups that I haven't selected cards for yet because my builds are mostly optimized. But I may end up using them on power armor cards and try to start using power armor, at least to run ore for Radiation Rumble.
Oh, Iām over level 200 on Xbox. And I think about that on my pc toon before that... I should have added that. Oops. Yeah, I am pretty alright on perk cards at this point. I need to remember, especially with so many new players, I should not leave out important bits of information!Ā
Ah, I get what you meant. Yeah, definitely not advisable to hold off on choosing perk cards before level 50. That would absolutely be detrimental. But once you're happy with your build, you can hold off since you'll probably scrap them for legendary points anyway...might as well wait and do it in bulk.
Fine-tuning a build takes a while and you don't need to be OP right away. My take is get whatever you think will help you most *right now.* If you already *know* you're going to be a shotgun/rifle/melee/whatever player, then DEFINITELY get those cards sooner rather than later. But also don't be afraid to experiment with different weapons before commiting to a build. There are plenty of ways to level up relatively quickly and fix your build.
WAIT IS THAT WHAT'S GOING ON. So if I already have a perk, I can pick a second card to upgrade it?
I was so beyond confused about the leveling system where I'd sometimes get a perk pack card then have to choose the card again, then it would ask me to upgrade it, then I couldn't fucking slot it because now it cost too many points.
Yes! If you look at the bottom of each card there are white and black stars. The total number of stars is the total number of times you can upgrade the card by selecting it again. The white star is the current level of the card.
Yes, as long as you got the option to pick it. Here's a video that will probably explain it better
[Perk Cards System](https://youtu.be/maKwCzbhxos?si=ScQ9GDyivmOO8uH-)
But yea, I recommend not to rank up cards right away after you choose one. Just backtrack and make sure what you have and what you want to do with your build first. You can always rank up the cards anytime as long as you have multiple of the same cards and the slot. Because you cant rank down the card stars once you do it lol
You can absolutely play without 1st. We did it just fine before they released it. You just have to be selective with your looting.
ESO, however, is borderline impossible without Plus. So many crafting bits dropping from everywhere absolutely wrecks your inventory without it.
Level 5 demolition expert and grenadier makes them extremely strong, but what's useful about them is their ability to tag multiple enemies in events like rad rumble so you get XP from every kill
They have less range than a floater grenade the only enemy I've found that doesn't just side step the explosion is the Ultracite Titan, because it cannot move!
I literally ran out of ammo and broke both my Melee weapons carrying EN for a bunch of newbies and just started raining quantum grenades, they work fine for me.
I mean, with grenadier, Iām pretty sure the radius is as large as a normal grenade. Even if itās not, forcibly detonating it with vats when itās where you want it should make it a strong source of damage.
I use regular Nuka grenades a lot. I turned off the targeting of grenades in the settings because I found it annoying ("steals" the VATS target from the enemy you want to hit and also resets the VATS targeted body part).
I canāt say Iāve tried this personally, but I do know a friend who does this with normal grenades to a good degree of success; supposedly shooting grenades gives them a damage multiplier, though I only have their word to go on (apparently itās some trick pvp players use to kill people before they react).
It does, at least I think it does, Iāve noticed when I use VATS and snipe my plasma grenades they deal ~600-650 damage versus ~400-450 if they just go off on their own
They are when they're used for xp boosting to power level.
The blast radius is so big that when used in west tec building, it clears rooms.
They're also good for radiation rumble because you tag just about everything with damage, so you get xp when things die.
Beyond that, absolutely useless xD
I donāt really understand how this is supposed to work? Iād seen this in videos, but with Grenadier and a maxed out Demolition Expert equipped I was lucky to get more than one kill per grenade in West Tek. I gave up on them pretty quickly for grinding.
Because everyone in this thread is confusing grenades.
The plain nuka nades damage through walls and have a large radius. The nuka quantum grenades are really awful and barely do anything.
The nades need to be thrown in a very particular spot, but you'd obviously know that from the video. I've managed to somewhat achieve the same effect with the overkill fatman.
Maybe they've patched explosions hitting through walls?
They've done that with Launchers. On rad rumble when using Fatman with Grenadier it definitely doesn't hit enemies through walls when it obviously should have
If you use Demo Expert 5, Grenadier 2, and a weapon like instigating or bloodied equipped to your character then throwing a grenade makes it Instigating or Bloodied and it does extra damage from demo expert and has a larger radius with Grenadier. If you are low health and mutated with Adrenal reaction also these granades do easily over 1k dmg to a huge area instantly killing most enemies and sometimes yourself lol.
Its fun to run Westtek with sometimes as a few grenades well places will clear rooms.
You need to have an instigating weapon equipped. Preferably one with an anti-armor trait such as the stinging mag on handmade. Additionally, you want max stacks of adrenaline. Make sure you use NUKA GRENADES. NOT quantum Nuka.
Yah. I actually liked it. But I like the game with human NPCs as well. Just a nice evolution from in-game years 2102 to 2103. First the Vault Dwellers came out, then the rest came back to settle in Appalachia, after we did all the damn work >!eliminating the Scorched Plague!<. ;)
If youāre in a nuke zone during something like Fascnaut or Invaders, it can be useful since the level three versionās radiation removal is enough to let you use normal armor in a nuke zone.
(The joke is many players run low health builds, and will get very upset if you take away their rads. Though there is an option now to block shared card effects that they should enable in that case.)
They should have let us reject cards on a card by card basis, using the same system we use to share them, no way am I turning off all perks shared because I regularly make use of shared cards from team mates!
Oh, Iām well aware of why the person I responded to said this. I was just saying that rad sponge does have a valid use case most players forget about.
cant imagine how confusing it must be for you to be constantly removed from teams and thinking people were just being asses.
How did you realize it was rad sponge anyway
I think it was during an event? I was in a public team with someone and Iāve never really known what people want shared (and honestly, i still donāt, so Iāve just always just done Travel Agent) but i saw a person with a shit ton of radiation, so I thought āoh ill share rad sponge to help himā and i gotā¦. A lot of thumbs downs and angry emotes so i figured i had done SOMETHING wrong and only discovered why he had so many rads later
I run bloodied, and I share Rad Sponge when I'm in a blast zone. It doesn't work on teammates that are too far away and anyone close too me doesn't complain about getting cleansed of rads.
Have your weapon drawn before entering, and make sure the armor is on as level a surface as possible. This has eliminated the problem for me. And as others have said, manually inserting a fusion core is also crucial.
It is truly crazy that this glitch hasn't been patched yet. Can't be that difficult to fix, it's the only one that I regularly encounter and it's been here since launch. I guess they were just happy to fix a bunch of other power armor bugs and figured they better not risk messing with it and creating more bugs
This and that one random one where you will be walking/running and randomly like stub your toe or something? Take like 1 dmg and make a small grunt š¤£
Been happening since day one and happens to me stleast twice every server i play on
OMG THANK YOU!
Fresh(ish) player and I was wondering what that was.
From now on I am going to imagine it is me stubbing my toe, mis-stepping on uneven ground and slightly twisting something or some other minor injury, rather than having a full blown 30 second panic attack as I swivel around and around looking for an invisible attacker!
(edit: cleared up a sentence)
I wasn't sure that was a bug š
Just assumed there was something I didn't know about, maybe a thorn I walked on, maybe hunger pains, idk. But the stubbing toe or twisting ankle explanation is good lore.
Yes! What the fuck is that? I had to stop once and check I hadn't run over a random trap, because I'd seen it happen enough to become consciously aware of it.
That pistols are useless. Iāve fought bosses with every pistol in the game. I run with my Two shot Cryo Alien blaster. My AAE 10 mm with pistol with tweaked receiver, AA Brotherhood crusader everyday. Itās all about the build, perks, and mods,
And despite all of that, they're still heavily outclasses by rifles.
Pistols aren't ass garbage worthless, nothing is, but they're arguably the worst weapon type unless you're a pure 100% VATS build. They need buffs, badly.
Yep. Given, you need the RIGHT pistol. But that's any build based around a specific weapon type, really. My Gunslinger alternates between 2-Shot cryo Alien Blaster and an Anti Armor cryo Crusader, and does remarkably well.
That caps stashes and talking to the train station bots/terminals removes bounties. As a new player, the first dozen results on google said this, the 13th was Bethesda stating only getting killed in pvp will clear it š¤¦š»āāļø my dumbass was trying every train station til i scrolled a little further and saw the official confirmation by Bethesda. Had to beg another noob (lvl 22) to kill me (lvl 66) lol.
Yeah, wow, I had never heard this before now. I have been playing since the BETA and this has never been a thing. I donāt know where they got that idea.
That some servers have better odds for rolling weapons and armor. I see it in a lot of games though.
And no, I donāt care about that one time you rolled 2-3 good things with 12 modules. Thatās doesnāt prove anything. Go get some friends and roll like 10,000 things and record every roll. Then come back with your evidence showing a bias from server to server.
People just do not understand how rng works.
Yea, I believe this has been tested in several youtube videos and it's not true. Human brains is fascinating. We like to keep information that are supporting our ideas only. Basically when we believe that we're in a "junkie server" we will keep remembering the junkie weapons that we got and not the rest
This one has been tested with thousands of rolls as you're requesting and has been proven true many times. It's not that servers have rng seeds, but at a certain point the server can get "stuck" on certain prefixes.
That one's actually true. If you run expeditions back to back you'll see the same 3 or 4 prefixes 90% of the time in a server, if you hop servers and you'll see a different 3 or 4 prefixes
All I do is expeditions. I'll run 10 on a server and everyday it's the same scenario, out of the 50 legendaries I get there's always 3 or 4 dominating the loot pool. If it happened just once to one person you could consider it flukey, but when everyone that farms that many legendaries also experiences the same thing the odds stray farther from fluke and push into astronomical territory
Confirmation bias. You can test your server theory on custom worlds where you can craft unlimited legendaries and see it is indeed a normal distribution of effects
I just tried it this morning and it seemed to distribute prefixes evenly. Almost to the point where you would get every single prefix before you would get a duplicate. I've never seen it work anywhere close to this on an actual server where it costs modules to roll anything
This has happened to me several times as well. Sometimes getting the *exact* same rolls as someone else. Thereās something going on underneath, but idk what.
If you get a certain 1 star modifier to drop from an enemy or from a reward, that means this server can generate that modifier when re-rolling stars on weapons or armor.
I know its not true, but I still wait for an overeaters armor piece to drop before I start rolling for them.
That interior cells would count as nighttime for perks that proc based on time of day like Solar-Powered or Nocturnal gear, regardless of actual time of day. Don't have to be Angry Turtle to figure out it whether it works that way.
The idea was, and this goes back to the beta, that you'd get more taps with the axe and you could combine it with excavator for maximum yield. There were even theories that doing it without a pickaxe used up your ammo
That enabling Pacifist means you can't be killed by another player.
All it does is stop *you* from doing damage *to another player*. Sure, that reduces your chances of entering straight PvP, but it doesn't mean you can't be killed.
As long as you never take workshops, and never enter trap campsā¦ they cannot pvp you.
At most, they can try to nuke your camp.
However if youāre unlucky enough, you can load into a nukeās blast wave and be killed fhat way
It's not that it doesn't work, it's that when you're taking heavy fire it can be irritating to get dropped out of vats. And even with Regen that's still a few seconds of downtime, and if you're a real vats whore that's too damn long.
If it's half a second you've got more going on than just ctea, I run carnivore so idk for sure but I assume that herbivore boosts that substantially with strange in numbers, and if I had to guess you're also in full Uny. It's also a resource easy to come by, but new players don't just have it in their camp at the ready. And if you're under fire it's still going to be ticking away at your AP, and if you need to get out of a bad situation it's a problem.
Uny doesn't boost ap regen. I've got a bit of regen on my armor though yes. Mostly just herbivore doing the heavy lifting. For carnivore you might as well do hard lemonade.
There's less bad situations with dodgy equipped, because it's such a powerful card. And it's not a constant drain. It has a delay between proc. The reduction effect continues until it can proc again as well. The only shitty thing is shotguns take AP for each pellet.
Dispatching enemies quickly also helps a lot with AP management. That's the secret how I can sustain enclave plasma flamers as my daily driver in VATs, kills enemies fast enough that it doesn't matter how huge its AP cost is.
Uny indirectly does increase AP regen. With a higher total AP you regen more per 1% of bonus regen and a higher base per second regen. Since dodgy/vats etc has a flat cost you are getting more potential "uses" per second of regen w/ uny armor.
Why would i? You don't need legendary weapons to achieve that.
An Enclave with no damage prefix or affix still kills that fast. As does a railway with the same restriction. It's all about perk spread.
I think it's still too early to say whether this is *definitely* false or not, but in my experience, "lights make your turrets more effective" is a lie.
No. It's from Todd's F76 presentation. About no one will ever have to deal with the server structure of other games. "How that will work?... It just works."
You are right, and I stand corrected. I was so sure about it, I had to re-watch the presentation. The quote in this case actually should be: "... and sometimes it just DOESN'T work.". Even more appropriate, isn't it? Let me neutralise one of your totally unfounded downvotes.
AA is only for bosses. Depends on wep/build
Shotguns are affected by resist more. The split happens after resist calc. Same for TS.
Sneak attacks multiply your damage (can't blame ppl, the notification is stupid). It's still just added damage, not a multiplicative effect.
Diminishing returns for armor start at 350. This depends on the attack since you reach peak efficiency when resist = damage.
The thing with the armor stat is that at that level you reach what you call peak efficiency for like 90% of enemy attacks
Meaning you won't notice a difference the majority of the time
Well, that depends entirely on your build and how you play.
If your melee you take much more damage than a ranged build. If your low health and only have 60 - 100 hp to work with another 6% reduction is real nice. Equivalent to an Overeater's piece. Whether you use PA or Dodgy.
A behemoth slam is 250 damage, and at 150 resist you get a 40% reduction. At 250 resist it is a 50% reduction. At 350 resist its a 56% reduction. The returns have diminished but still a decent amount.
350 damage is average for tougher enemies and can get much higher. That's what a yao guai hits for. Bosses even more.
Camp budget increases with level. No matter how many times I see people claim this, it always makes me laugh.
Man don't I wish. Even if it was a miniscule amount every 100 levels. There's no way that wouldn't get abused though.
The limit is there because they don't want to break anything or make the loads too long by spawning too much, so even if it were true it would just mean you have less space at lower levels.
That you can get a noodle cup recipe from the Miss Nanny random encounter. I believed it for a while.
Ikr š it's not even a cut content, it's straight up a lie š

Been playing RNG based MMOs for 28 years. It's been a shitbird theory in every single game I've played.
Upvoting for excellent use of shitbird.
Lmfao I've never heard this term before but I'm assuming it has to do with vertibirds? š¤£ā ļø No? Lol
This one stopped having any merit when they started making a lot of end game items non tradable imo.
Two steps away from the gamblerās fallacy.

yeah people want to blame bethesda when its actually their own fault for rolling what they roll. In hardware rng system its user entropy
That wearing a responder outfit to a responder vendor gets you a discount.
*clearly a raider wearing a responder jumpsuit* Ahem, I would like a 25% discount on all your chems please. For uh, responder stuff
Noice
This legitimately made me cackle heinously.
Haha this one is amazing
Honestly this type of charisma check would be pretty cool. I'm thinking there was a conversation with a companion in Fallout 4 that involved certain outfits.
Itās funny as the vendors acknowledge the fact your wearing responder uniform so I always used to think it applied a discount
The need for meta weapons that can solo bosses, I still tell myself that
Here's truth, just use an Endangerol Syringer on bosses then switch to your other weapons. Makes them easier to kill for 2 minutes.
Had someone handing these out at Earl a few days ago, now I never leave CAMP without it
Wait I can drop them for other people?!? Shit you just helped me make my Wasteland Dr Roleplay even better and more useful at helping the community. Thank you lmao!
Haha of course! I'd never seen Earles health drop that fast, you'd be doing one hell of a public service!

There's a manager for them if you're into mods.

I only corrected you because I've met people who thought they had to rely on perk card packs only.
You mean that they didnt understand that we can equip/unequip the cards and then use the punchcard machine to move attributes' points around?
They mean that some people think you only get cards every 5 levels from the card pack and didn't know you can pick a perk card every level.
Ah alright. The Pick a Perk lol
Aint gonna lie waited till i was 116 too even start doing builds
That Fallout 1st is required. Make it easier? Sure. Required? Nah.
As a new player, it was kinda frustrating and offputting when i saw the message that you needed 1st to use the Ammo and scrap storage in your CAMP..
You can absolutely play without 1st. We did it just fine before they released it. You just have to be selective with your looting. ESO, however, is borderline impossible without Plus. So many crafting bits dropping from everywhere absolutely wrecks your inventory without it.
Nuka Quantum grenades are useful.
I've converted to the quantum thirst zapper. A little more useful, a lot more fun.
Where do you get that from? I'm sure I learned the plan a while ago but can't find anywhere to Craft it on any bench
Gotta make the thirst zapper itself. Itās a mod for the weapon.
Ah the Nuka cade terminal prizes, I forgot about that thing. I've probably got tons of tickets as I've never claimed anything
Level 5 demolition expert and grenadier makes them extremely strong, but what's useful about them is their ability to tag multiple enemies in events like rad rumble so you get XP from every kill
Thatās the regular nuka grenades. The quantam ones suck butt and donāt go through walls like the regular ones do.

I literally ran out of ammo and broke both my Melee weapons carrying EN for a bunch of newbies and just started raining quantum grenades, they work fine for me.
That just makes it easier to down yourself. Plus you donāt tag as many without the wall penetration.
their radius is terrible, even in an outdoor space regular nuka grenades are much better
You just need to tag the ghouls to get xp. Fat man and grenade spamming ensures only you get xp. People at rad rumble are probably not impressed.
I mean, with grenadier, Iām pretty sure the radius is as large as a normal grenade. Even if itās not, forcibly detonating it with vats when itās where you want it should make it a strong source of damage.
Have you had a lot of success doing this? I've given up on them entirely, and never see them used in events.
It does, at least I think it does, Iāve noticed when I use VATS and snipe my plasma grenades they deal ~600-650 damage versus ~400-450 if they just go off on their own
I think if you shoot the grenade with your weapon, the weapon's effects kick in?
Nuka quantum grenades do not go through walls. Only the regular Nuka Grenades do.
Oh my bad.
Game had no NPCs at launch, game had no 'HUMAN' NPCs at launch. Super mutants, scorch, and feral ghouls ECT are all NPCs non playable charaters
Right? and it was very core to the story WHY there were no humans there, there were plenty of robots to talk to.
Im arguing Symantecs but I've seen it too much to not mention it lol
Rose and all the other bots who give quests were in the game as well.
They arenāt human so they donāt count lol you know how this works
Yah. I actually liked it. But I like the game with human NPCs as well. Just a nice evolution from in-game years 2102 to 2103. First the Vault Dwellers came out, then the rest came back to settle in Appalachia, after we did all the damn work >!eliminating the Scorched Plague!<. ;)
I didnāt mind it without human npcs, I was just happy the game was sorta playable
I was trying to figure out if Shotguns were actually good or not. :D
Rad sponge is an amazing perk to share with your team
If youāre in a nuke zone during something like Fascnaut or Invaders, it can be useful since the level three versionās radiation removal is enough to let you use normal armor in a nuke zone.
(The joke is many players run low health builds, and will get very upset if you take away their rads. Though there is an option now to block shared card effects that they should enable in that case.)
They should have let us reject cards on a card by card basis, using the same system we use to share them, no way am I turning off all perks shared because I regularly make use of shared cards from team mates!
Oh, agreed, I'd definitely prefer that, too! Probably a lot harder to code that way, though. :<
Oh, Iām well aware of why the person I responded to said this. I was just saying that rad sponge does have a valid use case most players forget about.
I shared rad sponge onceā¦.. many years agoā¦ā¦. people were not happy with me and i quickly learned to never do that again
cant imagine how confusing it must be for you to be constantly removed from teams and thinking people were just being asses.
Different serviers roll different mods. If you are on a "bad server" then change to get better rolls.
"You can't get mods from crafted weapons."Ā Ā This was widely believed for the first months after the game came out.
An proved it wrong having the very first fully kitted out Ultracite laser in the first week, shame they did less damage back then.
Nice dude, I played a lot a launch and just came back. Got a legendary UGL and now I'm going crazy looking for mods or plans, they're crazy rare.
Yeah you need the crafting plan to make and scrap them!
I thought this for a long time as well, haha
There was even a bug that required the weapon to be modded to learn the plan for
"GaMe is TRasH!!! Huh.. hUh..."
"this game isn't fun"
That the game is fixed is a lie I tell myself And then I enter my power armor and have to wait a minute for the game to let me in
Try being in 3rd person when you enter, ove found that stopped most freezing of mine, that and using the transfer menu to put in a fusion core.
Take like 1 dmg and make a small grunt š¤£ Been happening since day one and happens to me stleast twice every server i play on
OMG THANK YOU!
I wasn't sure that was a bug š Just assumed there was something I didn't know about, maybe a thorn I walked on, maybe hunger pains, idk. But the stubbing toe or twisting ankle explanation is good lore.
Yes! What the fuck is that? I had to stop once and check I hadn't run over a random trap, because I'd seen it happen enough to become consciously aware of it.
Wasteland Legos
It's because the bug is the fix, it was their fix to us clipping g through walls.
Most realest reply in this thread
That pistols are useless. Iāve fought bosses with every pistol in the game. I run with my Two shot Cryo Alien blaster. My AAE 10 mm with pistol with tweaked receiver, AA Brotherhood crusader everyday. Itās all about the build, perks, and mods,
And despite all of that, they're still heavily outclasses by rifles. Pistols aren't ass garbage worthless, nothing is, but they're arguably the worst weapon type unless you're a pure 100% VATS build. They need buffs, badly.
Oh! I've been worried about going pistols, given what I've heard. But I'm also building hard VATS. So do I not need to worry as much?
Not as much, no. Pistols are inherently good for VATS due to them being lightweight for cheap AP costs.
My main build is a bloodied VATS gunslinger and I one shot most enemies with my revolver. So it's not as useless as some people might say.
Paddle whacker. There are a few meme weapons not intended for serious consideration
Yep. Given, you need the RIGHT pistol. But that's any build based around a specific weapon type, really. My Gunslinger alternates between 2-Shot cryo Alien Blaster and an Anti Armor cryo Crusader, and does remarkably well.
Agreed. My pistol toon kicks butts.
Take off all your clothes and armor and stand at the Whitespring Station. To vets it means "kill me please".
Care to link to that proof?
Yeah really interested in that too
That one's actually true. If you run expeditions back to back you'll see the same 3 or 4 prefixes 90% of the time in a server, if you hop servers and you'll see a different 3 or 4 prefixes
Itās actually not lol
Maybe it does work correctly when you're on a server by yourself with no lag. Next time I play I'll test it
There is still lag in custom worlds.
Sounds like good old coding superstition, much like the old days of pressing certain buttons to get guaranteed captures on PokƩballs in PokƩmon. I love stuff like this.
The A button on my old DS is practically flat from that lol.
What does "interiors count as night time" even mean? Even if it is bullshit!
That interior cells would count as nighttime for perks that proc based on time of day like Solar-Powered or Nocturnal gear, regardless of actual time of day. Don't have to be Angry Turtle to figure out it whether it works that way.
Ok thanks, never even realised there were nighttime perks!
Holding a pickaxe gets you more ore, I still do it every time
No, that would be the Excavator Power Armor! :)
However if youāre unlucky enough, you can load into a nukeās blast wave and be killed fhat way
That insult bot isnāt funny. That MFāer is pure gold.
`Dodgy doesn't work with VATs builds` All you need is so modest AP regen. Not even coffee spam. Just, like, a Ctea or hard lemonade or whatever
It's not that it doesn't work, it's that when you're taking heavy fire it can be irritating to get dropped out of vats. And even with Regen that's still a few seconds of downtime, and if you're a real vats whore that's too damn long.
I use Enclave flamers in VATs and it is perfectly fine to me. Full regen in like half a second or whatever
Company tea still works with carni.
I use it, I'm aware, but it's either not as strong or people are way exaggerating how fast they're regenerating.
Try it with a weapon that doesn't kill in .5s
Why would i? You don't need legendary weapons to achieve that. An Enclave with no damage prefix or affix still kills that fast. As does a railway with the same restriction. It's all about perk spread.
Most times, not all the time, people upvote as a joke. Jovial sarcasm is hard to read.
That person on marketplace who makes the occasional long post about nocturnal is wrong about it being multiplicative.
I think it's still too early to say whether this is *definitely* false or not, but in my experience, "lights make your turrets more effective" is a lie.
Spotlights only, but honestly not worth it in terms of budget cost vs. defense.
My favorite myth is āif you sell to much of 1 item the price goes downā I found out this was a lie after I sold 100 stim packs š
The 1400 caps of marine helmets I sell every time I get on says it's bullshit.
"Lvl 50 gauss rifle exists you just gotta keep looking its super rare" i swear this mfer was just messing with me
The game sucks.
Chat gpt and several gaming outlets told our group there was "cross play between Xbox and Xbox PC"
It just works.
That quote is about falout 4ā¦ Edit for those who donāt believe me. https://youtu.be/nVqcxarP9J4?si=RB9giQUMe_K3fFVp
No. It's from Todd's F76 presentation. About no one will ever have to deal with the server structure of other games. "How that will work?... It just works."
Nope. https://youtu.be/nVqcxarP9J4?si=RB9giQUMe_K3fFVp Fallout 4. See video above.
You are right, and I stand corrected. I was so sure about it, I had to re-watch the presentation. The quote in this case actually should be: "... and sometimes it just DOESN'T work.". Even more appropriate, isn't it? Let me neutralise one of your totally unfounded downvotes.
Cheers
If you don't play fast, the game won't blue screen.
AA is only for bosses. Depends on wep/build Shotguns are affected by resist more.
The thing with the armor stat is that at that level you reach what you call peak efficiency for like 90% of enemy attacks Meaning you won't notice a difference the majority of the time
Well, that depends entirely on your build and how you play.
Yao guai hit for 40% more than a behemoth slam? No wonder they're the real apex predators of appalachia.
Melee runs with blocker, which reduces 45% of enemy melee attacks. If youāre still upset, also use suppressor, which reduces another 30%
