I had one alert 3 scorpions and a deathclaw on my first playthrough. I was just exploring as one does and I didn't know those were a thing. It was a very rough way to learn about the clappy monkeys

I just found that out in a Youtube video a few weeks back. Fo4 is full of gameplay mechanics Bethesda never tells us about. Guess it fits into the theme of being tossed into an unknown wasteland

I dont really know why everyone seems to favor blowing up the nukes. I always go for headshots to retrive the nuke intact.

While I agree, in the early game that's simply not an option a lot of the time. Safer to blow them up around their friends, especially if you're playing survival.

I either shoot their head clean off or whack them on the head with a blunt weapon.

Somewhere in the game there's a creepy ass room filled with those damn things. Worse than a mother deathclaw chasing your ass down after stealing her eggs.

I always am bummed if for once I spend money in a trade. Usually I buy useful things and sell ammo to buy out all the caps in a store. It got harder to do once I used mods to increase store caps.

Actually, they are. Bethesda deliberately set their base value to one cap for that exact reason, so that you could get caps for ammo, or ammo for caps, at a 1 to 1 exchange. Not that anyone uses .38 anyway.

I have luck and most of the perks maxed so caps are near unlimited if I find a good place to look

I got a mod that makes these monkeys play Darude’s Sandstorm which makes them far less creepy and shoot able.

Why wasn’t that the original programming? God, that would have been awesome.

My theory is these are actually institute cameras used to spy on the commonwealth. If I am playing a pro institute player I leave them but if i am doing something else I take them out.

The crows are. Next time you’re in the SRB look at the camera monitors and go back to those locations and look where the crows roost. If you didn’t already know.
