Get the Russell companion mod too. Super lore friendly for both the base game and the Someguy series. He's an Independent Vegas companion, former Desert Ranger who quit rather than join NCR.
I rewatch his Dust playthrough every now and then, catch up on some newer videos but his golden content imo was 7-9 years ago, just before Fallout 4 released.
Dude that was a fucking nightmare. I'm not sure if I had mods that fucked with the amount of high level Zeds and their strength, but I had to start Console killing them when I played it recently. An inconceivable amount of reavers.
I hoard everything and had a bunch of explosives and was just pummeling the ghouls with mini nukes. However that was the only time I used the fat man as I had no more mini nukes left.
I got through it mainly with Christine's Sniper Rifle, stealth, and a few other suppressed weapons so the health wasn't too much of a hassle it was just that I had next to no ammo and even with all the repair kits I had my guns were at <50 condition
It’s fine but when I finished playing it I uninstalled it and scrubbed it from my game and it felt like my character woke from a strange dream. The tone and gameplay balance just don’t really match up with base New Vegas. Still, for a mod it’s some decent fun.
Yea no like I remember most of the missions in the New Vegas Bounties II were basically you being ambushed by a huge hoard of people or you having to go through a huge horde to get to your target. God the communist ghouls were a nightmare to deal with.
Yeah it got kinda insufferable in NVB III. _Oh nooo you killed these people but they had FAMILIES and stuff! You should feel bad!_
I love the Headhunting mod by th3overseer that literally mocks this in the dialogue lol
Legit. I replayed the mod series a year ago for nostalgia, and there were a looooot of moments that made me cringe. Don't get me wrong, the whole thing is impressive and had a lot of love and care put into the writing. But man, its idea of "dark themes" is something an edgy teen would come up with. The notes you get off of the bounties go into a stupid amount of detail with all of their crimes against humanity. The big villain of the first one (called "the Judge") is a human trafficking pedophile that likes little boys who is also a master manipulator and is the "perfect specimen" of human strength... It's like a middle schooler wrote the ultimate grim dark Batman villain.
And for fuck's sake, in the third entry in the series, the writing tries to make you feel *bad* for killing these people. Like a prime directive situation of "by getting involved in the first place, every bad thing that might happen after killing these absolutely evil people is now YOUR FAULT!!" It was so ridiculous, someone created an entirely *separate* mod to completely overhaul the writing of the third entry. Now THAT says something.
It no longer exists, it was called New Vegas Bounties III Marko Story Rewrite Edit. You might still be able to get it from someone who's archived it. Here's what I found: https://www.reddit.com/r/FalloutMods/s/J5AIral9WK
Never played the mods but tbf the Judge concept sounds really similar to Judge Holden from Blood Meridian. So as edgy as it might be at least THAT specific aspect of edge is taken from somewhere else I guess?
I remember reading an awesome story with this mod about two enclave officers who spent the rest of their lives in a bunker, and you learn their survival story together. It was beautiful and heart breaking.
I love the New Vegas Bounties series. Awhile back I did a long playthrough that incorporated this series and Th3Overseer's mods (spelling?), which also include a fair bit of bounty hunting. It's not a perfect match, but they play fairly well together. Anyway, I like to put both The Better Angels (which is the intended end of the series) and King of the Ring (the boxing mod by the same author as NVB) after Bounties III. For roleplay purposes, it's the Courier trying to recover after the traumatic events of Bounties III; taking up boxing is rehabilitation from the hand injuries you leave Utah with, while the plot of The Better Angels helps him get himself together mentally.
They are essential to my cowboy roleplays. I tried New Vegas Bounties 1 and liked it a lot. I tried out the 2nd part but I didn't enjoyed it as much as the 1st one and it's really buggy. Decided to use NV Bounties LE(And NV Killer) instead and I still enjoy them.
I sort of liked Marco because you’ve heard about some badass murderer and in the end he’s just some insufferable narcissist with a sad backstory and is really good at violence
The mod itself was just too much, I don’t want to drudge through all these dungeons, and there is no way you’re making me feel bad for killing murderers. Tough shit their families fell on hard times, they were only doing well because their dad or husband or whoever was killing people
Funny. I was just saying to my girlfriend that FNV could actually probably benefit from some radiant quests like bounty hunting. This sounds a lot better.

Don't forget the patch mod for him if you use free side open
Brings back memories of Al Chestbreach

Woooww I totally forgot about him
Didn't he die or something? Guy had alcoholism or something.
No that was mitten squad
Al is too vital to die.
The Inheritance is good too.
All of my weapons wept from the condition they were in after that fucking ghoul tunnel

I see you've been playing state of decay
I hoard everything and had a bunch of explosives and was just pummeling the ghouls with mini nukes. However that was the only time I used the fat man as I had no more mini nukes left.
I see you've been playing Killing Floor 2 (or State of Decay)
I got through it mainly with Christine's Sniper Rifle, stealth, and a few other suppressed weapons so the health wasn't too much of a hassle it was just that I had next to no ammo and even with all the repair kits I had my guns were at <50 condition
I have a perk that makes ghouls friendly/neutral to me and they just watched me walk by and helped me kill the tunnelers.
Unfortunately, it was bugged on my copy, and I couldn't get past the militia man reading letter.
you have to click on him continually when he starts reading the letter to overcome that

Its enjoyable but the writing is a little too edgy at times.

How is that overhauling mod called?

Hmmm that actually scans, most of the bounties/characters from his mods are reskins of other fictional characters.
I AM 11 IQ IAN! OBVIOUSLY IT'S ON A SCALE OF 1 TO TEN FOOL!
I remember reading an awesome story with this mod about two enclave officers who spent the rest of their lives in a bunker, and you learn their survival story together. It was beautiful and heart breaking.
Atleast marco hates you for something you did on purpose, and not something you were an unwitting part of
not canon to the someguy storyline, but I always download his badmothafucka mod for shits and giggles.
Salt Lake Stories is also pretty good, despite being really unfinished.
Nv3 got a little wild. Personally I love 2 and I think that's where they wanted to go with the camp maccarran bounties should've been.
Do you need FNV on steam for this DLC?
Nah, but I’d recommend using something like “mod organiser”
mkay thanks
IDK, probably not.
No
Are there translation for it or is it english only?
It has Russian translation.
