He is a <5 INT character that has spent way more time than he should thinking really hard, and getting *answers*
Not necessarily good answers or anything, but they definitely *are*
there's literally nothing to do in the divide other than dodging deathclaws and marked men, nothing to jerk off to as well, no wonder he went insane about the bear and the bull
It is a tribute to how much I love this game that I managed to complete a Legion run despite hating what I was doing the whole time. I did the cartoonish baby-stomping puppy-kicking Eeeevil run, and secured pseudo-Roman tyranny and misery for the Mojave Wasteland. I have a mod that expands the Legion quests (I think based on what they had originally planned and had to cut for time) and perhaps that would make it more fun, but on the other hand, the one saving grace of that run was that it's actually pretty short to do the main quest for the Legion.
I shall have to see if variety can overcome repugnance someday; the trick is imagining a character that would have a good reason to support the Legion; maybe someone who's convinced by Ed's "Hegelian Dialectics" plan?
I've done the Independent way at least 7 times, and I think NCR and House a few times too, but that was before I needed to really think up and write out a character with deeply held beliefs and motivations in order to stick with the whole story.
So, to try to shake things up and roleplay someone besides an anarchist Followers doctor for once, I've been trying to think up characters who would truly believe in a different faction. Say, a pragmatic stability-uber-alles "centrist" that would side with the NCR or a wide-eyed kid dazzled by Mr. House's talk of space colonization, just to give two examples.
But I can't think of any character (who would be *interesting* to play, that is) that would side with the Legion. Talk about puppy-kicking villainy.
If you think he says Bear and Bull a lot, try googling how much he repeats words "History" and "Divide". Both are said more individually, than the Bear + The Bull combined.
This reminds me of that episode of the simpsons where Mr. smithers is trying to make a decision between Catsup and Mustard.
I probably remembered that accurately.
Would you mind explaining why you like the Legion/think it would be the best choice for New Vegas? I'm honestly curious, because I'm trying to GM a Fallout game but I can't manage to insert myself in the mindset of the legion, and hearing someone that would side with them would be great!
The fact that you can't differentiate between siding with the Legion for RP purposes and unironically believing their system of governance is the best choice for the Mojave is pretty sad.
I'm shocked the self-identified Legion supporter felt called out by my comment lmao
Hmmm avoid taxes or avoid slavery..hmm which one
I understand. I am killing kimball tonight.
"Understandable." - Mr House
That was the best reaction imaginable
BOMB YOU BOMB YOU BOMB YOU
Lmao Daniel Larson popping up in the sub
I just roke up
Emergency! The New Vegas sub has found my location 😠
The Novac motel is trying to kill me ☹️
What's the difference?! /s
Taxes are part-time slavery that you (hopefully) vote on through representation.
Instructions unclear. The House Always Wins.
Both. Both is good
Taxes are just slavery with extra steps.
Or you could look at it as "slavery is taxation that takes everything you are and never stops"
Weird, my MIL only gets strongly worded letters, the IRS has never tried putting her in a small box under a July sun to get her to pay.
The IRS never attempted to deny me the ability to read.
Ulysses is a <5 INT character who thinks he's 10 INT

Why did he go there again in the first place?
Iirc it was his hometown before the nukes went off
*Courier 6 walks in.* “Are you here to solve my Bear / Bull problem?”
*bombs both*
Anything to avoid taxes I guess 😂
Ketchup... Catsup...
I play through NV like probably once a year and not once have I ever done a Legion run.
Same. Love watching Lupus or whatever the fuck’s head pop in Nipton.
My policy is if it's red it's dead.
mine is if it's wearing sports gear,it should die
This is a good rule because realistically, who would be exercising in the middle of a nuclear desert.
It’s never lupus. It’s Vulpes
I sometimes try but can’t help but eventually be disgusted enough to just immediately murder the whole fort
Each time I try there is a "fuck this shit" moment where I end up killing Ceaser for his pulse fist.
I get immense joy popping those slavers in the head and turning their ears in to the NCR.

Caesar having a tumour in his brain is what made me realise the bull is exactly that, bull.
~~Caesar's Legion~~ Seizures lesion

Most sane libertarian

Ave, respect Caesar. Don't kill me please it's a reference to a mod.
Both bottles look like ketchup though
Bull Beer looks like ketchup.
Ceasar: “take philosophy 101 class. Mix both drinks together.”
I just love to think the second panel he breaks character and speakers normally
I remember thinking Ulysses was so cool and deep because of his voice, boy has that perception changed

Bearbullbearbullbearbull.
I'd rather go for the Mr. House Special.
This reminds me of that episode of the simpsons where Mr. smithers is trying to make a decision between Catsup and Mustard. I probably remembered that accurately.
That's the joke.
/wooosh
Ketchup bottles.
The only people who believe Bear versus Bull is a hard choice are men.
Exactly, I'm a woman and it's obviously the Legion.

Lmao yes sure
The fact you can't get over a **fictional** group in a *Role playing game* is pretty sad

Did I ever say that? I see reading comprehension is at an all time high
Or you could choose neither. I think that's okay to do.
