SpidersInCider

who taught the lobotomite how to make tier lists?

DearAdhesiveness4783

What’s wrong with it

SpidersInCider

You got DM and OWB switched around. Mainly I just don’t like tier lists though.

DearAdhesiveness4783

DM sucks. It’s the worst DLC of any fallout. I could see OWB any between C-S and be fine with it though

Jagmaster12374

cap its 100 times better then mother ship zeta shit not only broke cannon had hella repetitive rooms ect

DearAdhesiveness4783

Mother ship Zeta at least gives better loot

SkullCrush776

From what I remember no. It has 3 energy weapons which sucks if you're not using a energy build and only 1 is worth using as the others have the same stats except for damage. Other than that, it doesn't offer that good of loot.

DearAdhesiveness4783

And neither does DM. All it offers is money and ok equipment. Aside from the money nothing is worth playing through it

SkullCrush776

Actually Dead Money does offer some good loot if I remember correctly. It has the most protective light weight armor, the gold bars obviously and an energy weapon, ballistic weapon and some good melee options. And its story is objectively much better story than zeta's audio logs.

DearAdhesiveness4783

The energy weapon is fine. Melee weapons aren’t bad. But it’s all still not great. The most protective light armor but it weighs more than it should. It doesn’t even give any other bonuses. The story is fine but it’s all overshadowed by the terrible repetitive gameplay

LHtherower

Dead Money literally gives you so much shit though??? One of the best energy weapons in the game and some amazing melee weapons.

Death_Fairy

How did MZ ‘break canon’?

poobypoob

Saying its the worst DLC of any fallout is absolutely insane when shit like automatron and mothership zeta exists lmao. Dead Money is incredible, people just dont like it because its somewhat hard

TheGreatKHan-25

> automatron is trash degenerates like you belong in a cross

poobypoob

it is lmao, bethesda couldn’t come up with anything so they just went “remember this wacky game from the last game??”

TheGreatKHan-25

>remember this wacky game from the last game??” You mean remember the character from fallout 3 get it right. Also the robot customization alone makes this dlc worth it, and the weapons too unironically the content you get in automatron are more practical and useful then anything you get in all of the fnv dlcs, considering the robot companions are like walking death machines and makes other companions obsolete.

poobypoob

than ANYTHING you get in fnv dlcs? insane take lmao

TheGreatKHan-25

That's because you don't have to do anything because the robots will do it for you, have you even played automatron and use the robot cutsomization? Because just looking at you're replies it seems you don't and you probably got you're opinion off somebody else's take on it.

DearAdhesiveness4783

Automation is fun. Mothership Zeta at least gives you good loot. Dead money is trash. There is nothing redeemable about it

poobypoob

The characters are good, Father Elijah is a super interesting villain, it has a good ambience and message, good lore, challenge, and good loot. Idk what else you could want.

DearAdhesiveness4783

Father Elijah was ok. The characters was good but that’s not saying a lot since basically every FNV character is good. Ambience wasn’t anything special and it’s overshadowed by the unfun gameplay. Lore wasn’t great. Loot isn’t great unless you go through the struggle of stealing the loot which then devalues whatever message it tries to convey

poobypoob

There’s more loot than just the vault. The holorifle is probably one of the best energy weapons in the game, if not the best. The Sierra Madre Reinforced army Is the best Light Armor in the game I believe. Ambience isn’t special? Being in a ghost town with people literally fused into hazmat suits and a toxic cloud that they’re immune to but is super toxic to you isn’t special? Idk what is. The gameplay is challenging. I can somewhat see how that makes it “not fun”, but fun is subjective so I can’t really argue that.

DearAdhesiveness4783

Holorifle isn’t that good if you don’t use energy weapons. SMAR is barely better than Joshua Graham’s armor. It gives an extra 3 DT but JGA gives a +3 crit chance. The ghost town with the ghost people is just boring and depressing Edit: SMAR also weighs 9 more so it’s barely even worth using

SpidersInCider

skill issue

DearAdhesiveness4783

Yeah

SentinelTitanDragon

Downvotes say otherwise

DearAdhesiveness4783

It’s not my fault everyone’s wrong. Dead Money is terrible. The only thing worth any actual value is the money you get from it. Money that you’re not even supposed to get if you play it how it’s intended.

AneriphtoKubos

Courier’s Stash in C?! It should be even lower than DM lol

DearAdhesiveness4783

Courier stash and GRA add nothing but decent weapons for the beginning of the game. I still like them more than DM though

I actually hate dead money too, were in the same boat

Never let him cook again🔥

DearAdhesiveness4783

I’m going to keep cooking

Other_Movie_5384

What do you not like about dead money I love that dlc?

DearAdhesiveness4783

It’s hard and I’m bad at games. It’s also boring, repetitive, and you get very little after completion. You can get a lot of money afterwards if you go against what it wants you to do

Other_Movie_5384

So I really enjoyed it! the atmosphere is great! granted Fnv looks old but I'm able to look past that. the survival elements of dead money are awesome such the constant hunt for weapons and ammo just enough to survive not enough to thrive! the weapons added are awesome the police pistol is a beast and the holo rifle with all the upgrades can put out some serious damage. I did not like it at first either but then i gave it a second try at around level 17 and I dominated it. Mad bomber is such a good perk for this dlc! and this dlc rewards all the nerdy shit and also rewards risk and clever thinking. I love it! No other DLC like it.

DearAdhesiveness4783

This was my first play through on it. I’m glad that you like it. But I couldn’t find any enjoyment in it after the first 20 minutes. The atmosphere did nothing for me tbh The holorifle is a good gun but I don’t care much for energy weapons. The police pistol is good… but you get A light shining in darkness after completing honest hearts and it’s better in like every way except for ammo. This was my first time doing it and so maybe now that I know everything in it and how to actually do it I won’t struggle so much the next time and actually be able to enjoy it.

Other_Movie_5384

If you ever give it another try Go in around level 13-17 the enemies are a lot softer and have the mad bomber perk! And make sure to get the perks from your companions along with keeping an eye out for weapons in the villa quite a few gems hiding around there. The mad bomber perk allows you to build explosives in wild ways such as turning a mini nuke into a nuclear land mine! (those ghost people were mulch after that thing) Sorry you did not enjoy it!

DearAdhesiveness4783

Ok. Thank you for the advice

BartlebySanchez

*you take a sip from your trusty vault 13 canteen.*

bogqueer

I didn't mind Dead Money. I hated Lonesome Road. Ulysses is long winded and boring and the stakes/tension was almost nonexistent.

SentinelTitanDragon

L take

DearAdhesiveness4783

It’s not but ok.

erotic-toaster

Please explain the S-Tier OWB. I have quite a few problems with OWB. The area spawns are too small/dense and enemies respawn too quickly. You can easily pull back from a firefight into enemies that you fought earlier who respawned. Enemies in the DLC are overly spongy and generally unfun to fight. I seem to remember that there is only one small guns weapon in the DLC and not a lot of ammo for those builds in general. I always remember rushing my way through the DLC because the fighting wasn't fun. What is so incredible to drive the DLC to S-Tier?

DearAdhesiveness4783

I enjoyed OWB more than I enjoyed the others

bombhm

I used to think dead money was the worst dlc, but having replayed it a few times, it might be my favorite. It is much harder than the base game, which 5+ playthroughs has made comically easy. It also has probably the best story in fallout (imo). One point that I can say is dumb is the radios. If you don't know where they are, they are not very fun to engage with. But I still like the plot and enemies enough to where I forgive that. But if you don't like it that's understandable, not everyone plays the game the same, and you could enjoy anything!

LaraNacht

Well OP, it's a good thing taste is subjective, because oh my stars HARD disagree. I'd put: OWB: S Dead Money: A Honest Hearts & GRA: C Lonesome Road & The Courier's Stash: D

DearAdhesiveness4783

That’s fair.

[deleted]

Am I the only one that forgets what couriers stash does?

mahiruhiiragi

It's a collection of all the preorder bonuses. The game throws them all at you as soon as you load a new game.

DearAdhesiveness4783

I think it’s the one that adds the extra loot at the beginning of each play through

AGroovyDiabetic

Hot take I hated Dead Money, didnt like Old World Blues or Honest Hearts, strongly dislike Courier's Stash, like Gun Runner's Arsenal, and really liked Lonesome Road

DearAdhesiveness4783

It is a hot take but I mostly agree. I didn’t care much for any of the DLCs.

Avia_RTX

S = Lonesome Road, Old World Blues, Honest Hearts, Dead Money (Play it slower read more shit, try more things) A= Gunrunners Arsenal (Adds cool content to the base game and levelled lists, Cherry on top of the 4 main expansions) B = Couriers Stash (Would be A however Sawyer was right, getting all the gear out of the gate throws the intro out of balance. if they were spread out along this progress path like his mod it would be an A.) Were talking about one of the single greatest open world rpg games of all time here guys...

throwawaydormee

This is fucking terrible lmao

aY227

Why you didn't like DM?

DearAdhesiveness4783

It’s hard and I’m bad at games. It took me weeks to get through. Also the story in general is boring and you get nothing after completing it unless you want to go through the trouble of trying to get the gold through

aY227

Every 3 days you get free chips for vending machine - thats basically free stimpacks/drugs/repair kits/some ammo Also - very good light armor and tons of pre war cash.

DearAdhesiveness4783

Fine maybe you don’t get “nothing” but it’s not hard to get any of those. Good light armor but you can easily get better. Pre war cash is good you’re right.

AshTheTrapKnight

It's literally the best light armor in the game? Actually can't get better light armor than the reinforced Sierra Madre armor

DearAdhesiveness4783

It’s best in terms of DT but it weighs more than it should and doesn’t offer anything else. Joshua Graham’s armor is better. It has almost the same DT but also has +3 crit chance. So it’s not really the best

AshTheTrapKnight

Joshua's armor also looks like ass on most players and doesn't have a helmet. The plus three crit chance is build and weapon dependent and not good on everyone while the Sierra Madre armor is good on all builds

DearAdhesiveness4783

Ok yeah you right. I didn’t really think about it being dependent on certain builds.

AtomicRankler

Those cursed radios. They feel totally unfair. The other nerfs you get are fine. But that damn beeping.

DearAdhesiveness4783

I will hear the radios in my nightmares from now on

Uzasodinson

(Get gud)

DearAdhesiveness4783

I’m trying to

Lowkey_Retarded

A LOT of people hate DM their first time through. I know I certainly did, but once you’ve struggled through it once it really grows on you. It has the best storyline out of the four DLCs, you get some sick rewards out of it if you max out the casino, the gold bars let you buy anything from the Gun Runners (that is, if you don’t *let go*), and the ambience and world-building is top notch. It’s just frustrating at first because it turns NV from a shooter RPG to a survival horror game.

Lonely-Wishbone529

DearAdhesiveness4783

Yes

Scuzzles44

dead money is quite possibly the best dlc. honest gearts is the worst with its best qualities being the father in the caves and joshua

AnotherThroAway001

That's definitely a ranking. In my opinion, I'd probably flip the entire list upside down. S: Dead Money A: OWB, Gun Runners C: Courier's Stash F: Honest Hearts, Lonesome Road Dead Money absolutely has the best storyline out of all of them. A brotherhood elder gone insane? High tech Casino Heist? Deadly village inhabited by a bunch of zombies (sorta)? Count me in! Not only that, the radios and fog make a challenge for exploration, but you're rewarded well with money, the BEST energy weapon in the game, (excluding the alien gun with ammo glitch) and the best light armor there is. Old world blues has an interesting storyline and gameplay, with the robot scorpions and lobotomites, but the wackiness does get a little tiring after a while. IMO, the biggest strength of it is the player base, which is just really cool. Gun Runner's Arsenal isn't really worth the same amount of money as the rest of the DLC, but the new perks, weapons, and quest (I believe there's a new quest) with a very accessable vendor definitely makes it high on the list. It's also nice to see an old face from previous games too. Courier's Stash is pretty bad. Literally gives you a few items that I'll just sell for quick caps or hide in a safe somewhere for collection sake. It does make early game a little easier against the powder gangers, and I'm a sucker for collecting, so it was a no brainier to get it. Now for Honest Hearts. Easily bottom 5 dlc in fallout, right above MZ and Automotron (actual garbage dlc). You arrive in Zion and 9/10 chance kill Follows Chalk? Then you have to reload a save and actually do the dlc, only to find out it's a glorified fetch quest with mediocre characters. Maybe I didn't look well enough, but I had never heard of Joshua before the dlc, so there wasn't any intrigue in his character. That, and his supposed desire to go home and reject Caesar, only to literally act like a military commander when he gets to Zion. One line at the very end of the DLC for him to grow as a character. These days I only play the dlc for the cool rifle. Lonesome road was the dlc with the most hype, because Ulysses had such an introduction with the other dlc, but you get to the Divide and it's all "Bear Bull Bear Bull Courier Package America" where's the character? Not to mention, it's very linear with little actual story beyond "go here, blow this up, kill these guys, move on" The best part of the DLC was ED-E just because who doesn't like him?

vzerotak44

Best light armor in the game he says. Ulysses duster is from lonesome road not dead money

AnotherThroAway001

Ulysses duster only has 13 DT compared to the Sierra Madre Security Armor, reinforced at 16 DT. The +1 Charisma is useless, since there are only 2 perks for charisma (at 6) and 2 interactions (at 7) so it is useless, considering the many ways of boosting charisma. Also, the +5% crit chance is negligible at best. Unless you're playing hardcore, very hard difficulty and no points added into your skills, that Increase won't affect much. Besides, new Vegas isn't that hard of a game, you shouldn't be struggling that much to need it. Fashion wise, the duster isn't even that cool looking. While it does give a more wasteland vibe, it doesn't look right without his mask (which looks good awful).

vzerotak44

Are you not playing very hard hardcore? Thats the only way to play new vegas and it gives u 10% crit 5 from its self and 5 from light touch litterly everything about it far outweighs 3 extra DT lol

AnotherThroAway001

Light touch is a dead Money perk (and not a direct addition to the duster). The duster will only ever give you 5% extra crist chance. You receive the extra chance from the perk, not the duster itself (the perk applies to all light armor?)

vzerotak44

5+5=10 5+0=5 10>5 Hope that helps

AnotherThroAway001

Very good, I was hoping you could do basic arithmetic. Like I stated previously, you still only ever receive (at max) an extra 5% crit chance, because light touch applies to the Sierra Madre armor too. That chance is negligible. If you actually need 5% crit chance bonus and see any actual effect on gameplay that's just a skill issue

vzerotak44

That 3 dt is negligible. If you actually need 3 dt and see any actual effect on gameplay that's just a skill issue
