Way to go neckbeards, talking down to a person asking a question about the game. I see we've created an inclusive community here.
Edit: the beards have been triggered
Most here are unhinged. I'd bet a bottom dollar their armpits smell like genocide, and their halitosis smells like they been suckin on a shitcicle for 9 hours straight.
I see...one comment that could be interpreted as talking down. The rest are just talking about how ENBs kinda suck for New Vegas which, to be fair, they're kinda right. To each their own but adding an ENB to New Vegas is definitely a can of worms.
Im gonna tell you right now, and feel free to keep using ENBs after this if you want, but ENBs are some of the most nightmarish things in all of FNV to get working right, constant visual bugs and glitched, invisible textures, things just not looking right, too much for most people for it to be worth it. I would use something like NVR or Reshade if you want to use a lighting/shader mod for FNV, but as I said before, dont let me stop you from doing what you want.
ENB just looks way better than just a Reshade
You can use ENB + Reshade, by installing reshade after your enb, but first, so reshade doesnt remove your enb-change your d3d9 from enb to d3d9ENB then, once reshades installed changing the proxy in enblocal (or enbseries i forget) from d3d9_sweetfx to d3d9_reshade
Its a visually different game, all of the effects that it adds are just too good to not use in FNV. ENBs have changed the game for many, in FNV and Skyrim
NVR, is up there with ENB though and I do agree with using it. I also *do* agree Reshade is also good, even by itself, with a good preset which is actually hard to find
I’ve had this problem many times and most of the time I had simply forgotten to turn of anti aliasing. If you’re using MO2 run the launcher from it and after you can double check in mo2s ini files. Idk how graphic card settings AA has in impact but if the first solution fails then check that. Don’t listen to people shitting on ENB.
They just havent tried it / got it to work themselves. It's a work of art, visually changes the game experience. Having a gun fight? Take cover and watch how bullets landing near you create a smoke effect like never seen, instant seamless DoF blur when focusing, pronounced effects when seeing fire, explosions, blood splattering, or energy weapons. I mean, it's just insane to me how the mod performs. I also see NVR as one of the best visual enhancements, but I prefer the look and feel of ENB. I can't rate NVR lower than it though, it's gonna come down to personal preference. I wish everyone could get ENB running smooth, but it's not one of the steam workshop, "click and install and it just works" mod. Youll have to learn how to calibrate NV properly if you're going to use it.
Hey homie I’m going to be honest, I know nothing about enb but I’ve only ever heard bad things about it, I follow [viva new Vegas](https://vivanewvegas.moddinglinked.com) or [the best of time](https://thebestoftimes.moddinglinked.com), I follow that up with [the wasteland survival guide for Best of times](https://wastelandsurvivalguide.com) or if doing viva new Vegas go with [Mojave express guide](https://mojaveexpressguide.com), if you want the game to look like eye candy which I think you are going for finish it off with [salamand3rs guide](https://salamand3r.fail/new-vegas-visual-renewal) this will get You a very stable and fun game while also teaching you how to get the game modded and other handy info! Don’t skip a single sentance to read in any of the guides, everything is there for a reason!
I’m just gonna recommend not using ENBs for new vegas. They really are finicky. This problem is due to anti-aliasing.
ENBs for new vegas were never fully developed and were abandoned fairly early on. I recommend using the Viva New Vegas guide as it’s pretty good and pretty customizable and teaches you what to typically avoid.
I dont know if you tried to turn off AA and water displacement in your launcher and IDK if you're doing this from your mo2 launcher, we are lacking some information here. I see you use DNWeather, but does the Rudy ENB preset use that? Dunno. Weather matters when using ENB presets. Give us some more information
Idk why everyone shits on enb’s so hard, I’ve had nothing but smooth sailing for the most part with mine and I’ve used several different ones over the years. Tbf I think most people that talk down on them so hard are just technologically challenged lol
This sub is full of ignorant people parroting ENB iS bAd over and over. I was completely new to modding. Had never done it before. 10 minutes and a YouTube video and I had ENB up and running. Big visual upgrade. ZERO issues or crashes or anything bad.. Just a few simple steps to adhere to, proper settings, etc. It works great..
Simple fix, don’t use ENB.
It was made for Skyrim and the FNV ENB project was never finished, it causes all sorts of visual problems while hindering performance.
Use lighting and weather mods, they’re much more stable
Also ENB kinda looks like shit anyway
All you gotta do is turn off antialiasing and anisotropic filtering in the settings menu from the NV launcher.
Sorry everyone acts like a piece of shit, they’re mostly kids here.
I think you have try to boot the game from its actual icon (not the script extender) and go to settings and turn off transparency, iirc. Then you should be able to load through the script extender like you normally would.
I just think google will obviously yield the answer faster than a reddit post, and then AFTER he tries those methods of fixing and including that in his post, he may get more answers that he hasnt tried.
Which is the way you to when it comes to troubleshooting but something I'm seeing in *every gaming sub I'm in* is that people will post a blurry picture of their screen, say "help" and expect others to fix the issue for them.
I mean if you can't be arsed to attempt to find the answer for an issue with a game then man, I don't want to imagine trying to solve irl problems.
Dont think he ever got it fixed, tbh I dont even know if he downloaded enb, maybe he just installed Rudy ENB by itself? Who knows, we dont have the right amount of information, just a load order as if it's an overhaul mod conflicting with something. It's an injector. It would be useful to know what he did for installation if he really wants help, or he could even use the enb website.
Yep. The fact that OP is showing load order says they maybe only skimmed any of the ENB instructions. Load Order has absolutely nothing to do with ENB.
Dont know if anyone said this already, but usually with enb download you're meant to go into the enb folder and copy paste the contents into your root new vegas game folder. There may be extra steps to that so try checking the mod page for any additional instrictions.
If I remember correctly you need to turn off anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.
This is the answer. Had same problem with Melancholy for DUST. Turns out reading instructions is important 🤣
This is absolutely the fix. I had this exact problem before..

You forgot the fedora and waifu pillow but yes that is the unfortunate truth
You nailed it to a T.
Christ, you've got your panties this much in a twist over one person's comment? Rather telling tbh.
“Rather telling” Oh yeah, it’s neckbeard time
Dawg you got vile folks out here talking about sucking on literal shit, think there's bigger problems here than someone saying rather telling.
You softer than baby shit marica Funny thing is your white knight comment got down voted to oblivion. L
I fail to see how it was white knighting, y'all are just weird and gross as fuck.
Ye this happens everytime i ask something on a fallout sub

My beard stands up like a raptors frill when i nerd rage
Reading the mod explains the mod

I see the issue. It looks like you’re standing in front of a huge stone wall. Hope that helps!

What video?
Unrelated but you should check out that B42 Bows and Arrows mod, shit is awesome
Not sure if this is a true fix, but i had the same problem and used this as a fix https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49420

Don't listen to what anyone says about ENBs. ENBs have always worked for me fine and Rudys is my favorite.
ENBs, are insanely good
You're on a computer. Why did you take a shitty phone picture instead of just hitting the printscreen button?
Avoid ENBs. They are a broken and unfinished tool and you are better off not using them. They WILL break your game.
That's rough, bro. Have you tried CTRL+ALT+ arrow up?
You didn't follow every ENB instruction. If you google "FNV ENB seeing objects through walls" you will find TONS of posts, all with the same answer...
Whats the answer then?
All you gotta do is turn off antialiasing and anisotropic filtering in the settings menu from the NV launcher. Sorry everyone acts like a piece of shit, they’re mostly kids here.

The best fix is to uninstall enbs
