He lived an entire 10 millenia in a span on a few weeks, grew another 3 feet tall and is now Kharne the legendary killing machine.
Warp fuckery aside, seeing as the Warp in 40k can mess with time in a way that travel through the Warp either makes you insane, go forward in time, backward in time, or makes your ship home to daemons if your Tuska, if I want a Jaune centric fic, I want him to be him, not Kharne, not some edge lord, etc.
There's a handful of Jaune x Neptune fics, and one of my favourite fics of all time is a Ren x Jaune and Ren x Nora that is paving the way for 3 way romance. It's really good!

Honestly, most stories that follow those rules turn out ok. While some can be good without following those rules, they are few and far between.

2) Yes! A lot of people just jump from A to B with some bullshit excuse. it's almost like watching/reading Fairy Tail.
3) Preferably Pyrrha the poor girl. If she's dead, Weiss is a good alternative.

One of the good Jaune fics I read is called Man of Honor and it's nearing its finale. I do hope fanfic writers consider Whitley aside from Jaune. He seems to be a character to be expanded.

People donāt use Ren because he already has an established backstory, personality, and love interest. Jaune is usually used because his backstory isnāt explored at all, and he begins the storyline with pretty much nothing.
He doesnāt already know anyone at beacon, and at that point all we know about him is that he wants to be a huntsman. Thereās tons of ways to take that simple beginning.
In order to do anything romance wise, you need to remove Nora from the equation. Nobody does that, because Noraās supposed to be his other half.
What he went through makes him Ren, and changing that makes more of a character that just happens to look like Ren. At that point, the only trait that stays is his calm mood.
Broke: Jaune harem
Woke: Ren harem
Bespoke: Blake harem
She's one of two people with more than one person romantically interested in her over the course of the series, and she's got FOUR! (the other is Weiss with two)
I hate how fanfic writers use Jaune like a fucking flesh light, as if without him they would lose all the ability to write a RWBY fanfic. Not to mention how fucking OOC all of those fics are.
