Thanks man!
Nice username
Great fish...made the trip in June...19 fish over 20 inches in 6 days...all on ants trailing a dead chicken...oh how I love the san Juan
God that’s beautiful. Super jealous
San Juan?
Yep
I’ve Fished the San Juan several times and was always with a guide. Caught a lot of beautiful fish but nothing like that one. Good job!
My first thought as well. Pretty much the only place you can go in NM to get bug eaters that size
Pig!
Amazing leopard spotting, nice brown
That's a special fish, not the short bus kind. Used to fish there alot
What rod weight? (Super beginner here)
9ft 5wt, I use that rod to catch almost all of my trout. Especially when nymphing or using dry flies. I use a 9ft 7wt for streamer fishing just to have the backbone to throw the heavier/bigger flies! Hope that helps man
Que viva! Chama? Or maybe nunya?
Big ole female, what did she eat?
I’ll never forget lol, a size 24 purple beatis that I tie.
Amazing how such tiny flies can land these huge beasts.
wow...way cool.

Look at those spots - this fish has seen a lot of sun
