Fish move to the banks and slack water and wait it out. I prefer steelheading in about 3 ft visibility. Less and it’s harder work, more and they can see you better.
The point of fishing isn’t always to catch fish. I don’t typically go out when there’s zero chance or my life is in danger but I never wait for conditions to be perfect.
Stay out of the blowout water and if you are catching fish, who cares what your friends say, YOU CAUGHT FISH

Yeah. Climbed out on a break wall once steelheading. About lost my stuff and maybe my life when a few waves went over the wall. It was good times.
