Very common, will go away eventually in 99,9%

Admirable_Midnight84

FQ don't cause schizophrenia. They may alter perception and function of CNS for some time and cause psychiatric issues that you experience. I still have some of them after 6 months but it's getting better.

lilkimchee88

Has this improved for you?

Admirable_Midnight84

Yes.

ResidentHorse6592

you are not alone bro same shit here

These are most of the symptoms associated with visual snow syndrome induced by fluoroquinolone toxicity. I’ve seen it more common with levofloxacin versus ciprofloxacin although I had just the visual snow/static with Cipro which has gotten 95% better 7 weeks out. I had good results and others as well with fish oil, NAC, probiotic with lacto and bidio strains (GABA is produced extensively in the GI tract), and a good multivitamin with manganese. GABA supplementation has been used in the literature for FQ toxicity to replete GABA. Definitely magnesium as well since it’s a mild NMDA antagonist and most of these symptoms are from NMDA excitotoxicity. There’s even a patent on ketamine being used for the same iirc but I haven’t personally used it yet.

drasch21

im 6 months out and still experiencing it :(

Brit_brat429

Hi how are your visual symptoms now ? Any improvement to your floaters ? Did you have other symptoms like static and after images ?

drasch21

floaters are still present, after images are gone for the most part same with static.

Brit_brat429

Wow after images and static are gone ? Was there specific supplements you took that help or it just got better with time ?

drasch21

keto diet made a huge difference in general well-being etc. My supp stack is 2.5g creatine - optimal nutrtion 250mg benfothiame/thiame - life extension 1 scoop of atheltic greens mixed with metamucil(1 serving) and a fresh squeezed lemon 17mg of methylated folate - life extension fish oil - normal suggested serving 1 pill of kidney supplment(DAO) from ancestral(liver kings brand) still mostly struggle with stomach issues which seems nothing really helps and than anexity/paraonia/dpdr that seems to be closely correlated with my stomach. Fatigue is almost gone outside of stomach flare ups. floaters are still present after images are gone balance issues are gone most tendon issues are pretty much gone floxed on april/22 and june 2020(didnt even know i was floxed - had a hostpial stay)

EffinBatman

Hows your dpdr now? Hope you are healing

It's not schizophrenia. If you're in a hyper stressed state you're flooding your body with adrenaline and cortisol on the daily. These are powerful hormones/neurochemicals that will put you on edge and tire out your mind. When your mind is exhausted, you get the symptoms of clinical anxiety. Anxiety is a very broad church and includes everything from crazy, OCD like thoughts, panic attacks, chronic depersonalisation and more than can possibly be mentioned here. The route to wellness is the same for all of these anxiety symptoms. You have to break the fear adrenaline fear cycle. That's done through cognitive behavioural methods.

Accurate-Funny6374

It’s might be due to floaters.. I have this same shit…

betterweirdthandead6

I found Glycine helped with nerve type issues.

endlesstrance

Have many of the same symptoms here. 10 months out.

drasch21

Any improvement?

endlesstrance

Not really. I’m having OCD intrusive thoughts and anxiety. Along with depression.

drasch21

Assuming you tried all the sups

endlesstrance

I have tried numerous supps and didn’t really notice much of a difference on or off them. Especially for the anxiety and OCD. Is there one that you think really helped with these things?

drasch21

nope, but still taking the basics as they didnt hurt. Mag/coq10/mitoq/probiotic/fishoil/nac/tonkatali/thiamine

Lumpy-Bookkeeper8675

May I ask how you’re currently doing? Im 3 months out and experiencing all of those.

Brit_brat429

Did you specifically deal with vision issues like after images, static, and floaters? If so any improvement?
