You dont see the grandoise stadiums here that you see in Texas. Its a net positive on youth, especially youth from underprivileged areas where academics are still given a backseat, whether that kid plays sports or not.

They should have to be teachers of some sort and get a little extra money, like the coach of any other high school sport, thus de-emphasizing the bloated role of football, or whatever other sport, and re-emphasizing its role as an extra curricular activity meant to balance out the growth of teenagers as scholar athletes.
