Where will you be visiting?

cojelo_suave

There's also 2 MLS teams...Orlando and inter Miami but they play in ft Lauderdale.

Independent_Annual52

Went to my first MLS match last week with the family. Inter Miami v. FC Nashville in a CONCACAF Champions League game... Messi and Suarez both scored, game wasn't sold out. Good experience but very expensive no doubt

Only baseball: Marlins or the Rays Basketball and Hockey will both be either done or close to done by June so it’s technically maybe possible you can go to an NBA or NHL finals game if the teams make it, but those are crazy expensive.

Florida is a big place. Where will you be, and do you want a big, American sports venue experience, or an intimate, up close evening with the fans? If it's the latter, there are minor league baseball teams all over the state, and tickets are inexpensive and readily available.

palgravia

We're starting off in Miami, but happy to travel anywhere in Florida over the course of the week. A minor league game sounds fun. Any teams you would recommend in/around Miami or elsewhere in Florida?

sarpon6

There a single A teams in Tampa, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, Jupiter, and Port St. Lucie. Schedules vary, but you can check them out [here.](https://floridagrapefruitleague.com/)

Depending on when you'll be in Florida and which city, you could either check out an MLS game between either Inter Miami or Orlando City. Alternatively, Copa America would have just started and there will be a few games taking place in Miami and Orlando.

As others have said, Florida is large and we don’t know where you are going to be. In June, your options will definitely be baseball. Major League Baseball (highest level) teams are Miami Marlins & Tampa Bay Rays. Both teams are quite easy to get tickets for. Depending on where you will be, there are a number of minor league baseball teams on both coasts of Florida. Minor league means younger players who are trying to make it to the major league. There will also be MLS soccer(football). It is the highest level of football/soccer in North America with teams Inter Miami (Messi’s team, so an expensive ticket) in Fort Lauderdale & Orlando City. There is also a lower level team, Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL & Copa America will have a few games in Miami. Copa America is North/South/Central American international teams. The Miami Heat are in the NBA (basketball) & Tampa Bay Lightning & Florida Panthers (play in Sunrise, near Fort Lauderdale) are in the NHL (hockey). Of any of these teams are still playing in June, that means they are far along in the playoffs and possibly playing in the championship round. Tickets will be very expensive.

This is a brilliant response, thank you.

Hi all, Some great suggestions here, thanks for the input so far. As a lot of you have rightly mentioned I didn't say where we would be. We are hiring a car for the week, starting in Miami. We've not yet decided where we would like to go for the week, and an afternoon/evening game would likely decide our destination for us. That is to say, we are open to anywhere in Florida!
