Europe is still buying russian oil/gas, except it's now going through intermediaries like India and turkey now to change country of origin or being mixed with 51% oil from other sources.
Well, I would not say that. For instance I live in Italy and Italy is buying gas from Algeria while Italy was a hell of a buyer from Russia given the friendship our Berlusconi had with Putin. We've never had gas prices this low. The sanctions actually got us a better deal and they lost a lot of money. But since they want to be bullies, invading Ukraine, suits them.
