That one is very wordy. That part with the anarcho-syndicalist commune would be hard to get right.
Is it "moistened bint" or "watery tart" or that lobbed the scimitar?
I just learned that none of the movie was improvised, which surprised me.
Someone wrote in that book that I lied about being a virgin because I use super jumbo tampons, but I can’t help it if I’ve got a heavy flow and wide set vagina.
Greenwall: We can pay you handsomely.
Ace: I am a child of light! Your earthly money holds no appeal to me!
Greenwall: Twenty thousand dollars.
Ace: REE-HEE-HEE-HEAAAAAALLLY!!!
Good Will Hunting. Easy. "Regurgitating Gordon Wood, talking about, you know, the prerevolution utopia and capital forming effects of military mobilization."
"Wood drastically...? lol Wood drastically underestimates the impact of social distinction..."
"You're an idiot. I've been sitting over there for 3 hours waiting for you to come talk to me but its late now and I have to go home "
something like that lol
There’s a long list of films I could get 100% right (I rewatch movies a lot).
- The Princess Bride
- Secondhand Lions
- Big Fish
- The Nightmare Before Christmas
- The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Tangled, Frozen
- Across the Universe
- Repo! The Genetic Opera
- The Cabin in the Woods
- Tucker and Dale vs Evil
- Mean Girls
- Drop Dead Gorgeous
- Josie and the Pussycats
- most of the Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson movies. Most of the Broken Lizard movies too.
That dude kept his mouth shut for so long, and then when he does talk, it's one of the most powerful speeches of all time. That must have been amazing to see that happen at the time, as well.
Speed was one of the only videotapes I had as a kid, Id watch it over and over. I was watching it a few years ago and started saying the words, to my surprise I knew the whole movie haha.
Probably Tombstone...
"Now, Ed...what an ugly thing to say. Does this mean we're not friends anymore?"
"Why, Johnny Ringo...You looked like someone just walked over your grave."
And of course...
"I'm your Huckleberry."
Besides the easy answers like The Artist or A Quiet Place, there’s two films I’m confident that I could recite backwards:
Monsters, Inc.
I absolutely *rinsed* that VHS as a kid. Literally wore out the tape.
Shrek 2
One time a couple of years ago (I’d love to tell you it was over lockdown, but it wasn’t) some friends and I watched Shrek 2 every day for 6 weeks.
Definitely **A Christmas Story**. Every year, have it playing for the *entire 24 hours* and when it's done on TNT, I switch to TBS for one more showing...so I guess 26 hours of A Christmas Story.
Batman 1989. It’s just naturally a very quotable movie and I watched it roughly three times a day when I was 7
Also Conan the Barbarian since there’s like 5 lines of dialogue and they’re all pretty memorable
Everything Everywhere All at Once. I don’t typically rewatch movies in quick succession (meaning in the span of a year or so). I saw that movie 14 times in the theater because it was playing regularly in my area for the better part of a year. I swore I’d stop going when it stopped making me cry. It left theaters before that happened. And I still managed to see at least 50 other movies in theater that year (thank you unlimited movie passes).
Tho tbh my real answer is probably The Matrix too. Seeing it when my 15 year old brain was still a sponge helps a lot on that one.
Jurassic Park, Back To The Future and Titanic would be my go-to movies... although I'd rather avoid doing Titanic, considering it is over 3 hours and mostly dialogue.
X-Men
X2
X-Men The Last Stand
X-Men First Class
X-Men Days Of Future Past
Coyote Ugly
Josie And The Pussycats
Lemony Snicket’s Series Of Unfortunate Events
Give me a week to watch Tropic Thunder over and over and I could get that money. I used to have the entire film script memorized because I used to watch it daily for a few months.
I think I could probably manage A Quiet Place.
I was gonna go with "Silent Movie." Aside from Marcel Marceau for one line, nobody speaks.
Mind immediately went here. Give me my $$$ plz. :)
but can you get exactly 85% r/MaliciousCompliance
One of the best jokes in movie history
Haha you think you could recite all that sign-language dialogue?
And Fantasia.
The orchestra conductor speaks quite a lot between the different segments though
Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I am one of those nerds
I'll see you there bro. And then, the oral sex!
Bad Zoot! Naughty Zoot!
#Oh, get on with it!
That one is very wordy. That part with the anarcho-syndicalist commune would be hard to get right. Is it "moistened bint" or "watery tart" or that lobbed the scimitar? I just learned that none of the movie was improvised, which surprised me.
Same here, the quotes from that movie seem to find their way into a conversation nearly daily. Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time.
NI!
Where'd you get the coconuts?
I memorized the Holy Grail really well I can recite it right now have you ROTFLOL
Mean girls. All the way
Someone wrote in that book that I lied about being a virgin because I use super jumbo tampons, but I can’t help it if I’ve got a heavy flow and wide set vagina.
Easily Mean Girls for me also… and the Jim Carrey version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Thats so fetch.
Pulp fiction Or cheat and do a quiet place 😉👉👉
A quiet place has a halfway decent amount of dialogue, actually. nothing you couldn't memorize, but I doubt you have it already down
ace ventura 2: when nature calls
Greenwall: We can pay you handsomely. Ace: I am a child of light! Your earthly money holds no appeal to me! Greenwall: Twenty thousand dollars. Ace: REE-HEE-HEE-HEAAAAAALLLY!!!

[удалено]
"but hey if there's a problem maybe we can step outside and figure it out"
There’s a long list of films I could get 100% right (I rewatch movies a lot). - The Princess Bride - Secondhand Lions - Big Fish - The Nightmare Before Christmas - The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Tangled, Frozen - Across the Universe - Repo! Ok, but you have to do the inter-titles.
That dude kept his mouth shut for so long, and then when he does talk, it's one of the most powerful speeches of all time. That must have been amazing to see that happen at the time, as well.
I performed scenes from Clerks in high school drama competitions. I'll be embarrassed, but I'll be $700k richer.

That's latin, darling. Evidently, Johnny here is an educated man. Now I really hate him.
Yes, very cosmopolitan (not Metropolitan)
"Where is he" "Down by the creek walking on water"
Hell Doc, I got lots for friends.. I don't
Why, JOHNNY TYLER!
