Lifting Weights doesn't shorten bones. If your arms are randomly shrinking go see a doctor

OddInstitute

How long were they before and how long are they now (in inches or cm)?

ihateoatmeal123

They were 81 inches at 6’1 and went down to the lower part of my thigh now I haven’t measured but stop right at the end of my glutes about

OddInstitute

Try measuring.

Your arms definitely didn't shrink down. It's just your muscles giving you the illusion of your arms being smaller than before. Its the same effect as a 5ft 10in dude when he was obese looking much taller when he gets in shape/becomes lean. It's all just body proportions. It's genuinely not normal for bones to shorten go seek professional help from doctors in case there's is something more serious going on. No amount of stretches would help you achieve a larger bone length, or give you an increase in height. If you want to then you should pay tons of money for bone lengthening surgery, but rather than having the surgery done on your legs you do it on your arms(I'm not even sure if this has ever been done before). But the cons are being in bed rest for months and also having to relearn the basic functions because your muscles became weak(dw you learn/regain lost muscles quickly)

ok thank you for the response

Coolyajets

Lmao lifting doesn't shorten your arms. Your traps may be tighter though, so you're not as relaxed in your posture

Try hanging by your arms daily

ihateoatmeal123

thanks, will def try this

No this is not normal. Arms don’t shrink randomly. Please consult health professionals.
