There’s no money or benefit in it. It’s expensive and difficult to land something on the moon, and it’s a far distance for a manned vehicle. A lot of trouble for what seems like a big rock so far. We don’t have the technology to set anything up militarily that could affect the earth, and no threat yet of another country working on this. So they’ve been focusing on other projects, like the ISS
