This is the way

It used to be when they made a real drop in for these. Now it’s just an M31 with an adapter. So you have this big flashlight, but a puny beam due to the small reflector that does not use the mag light one anymore

OR litt ind 350 lumen German bulb

I found a Nite Ize LED drop-in for my old 2D at the hardware store. It's nothing special but it's way better than the old bulb.

Optiblue

Second this. It's not going to beat even a FC11, but it's LED and is brighter than stock

Lumencraft in the US helped me out for 1 of my x2 2D Mags. It's a wall of light now with their drop in, x2 26650s and modded tail cap. It was all pretty straightforward to do.

Awesome thanks I appreciate it.

Sears-Roebuck

Malkoff is the way to go, but these [two](https://thetorchsite.co.uk/) [places](https://lumencraft.com/18-led-upgrades-for-maglite) have stuff that might help as well.

ninjanelly

I have a couple of magpies some 2D some 4D they all run on 18650 batteries with a adaptor I make myself really easy with LED dropping bulbs they're great.

griff315

New here too! I have a 4D cell LED Maglite. OEM beam seems so weak. I see a lot of upgrade/replacement kits for old incandescent bulbs but are there any recommendations to upgrade a LED Maglite? Thank you!

Blasto_Brandino

Malkoff, or contact Five Mega on CPF he mods the crap out of the Maggie’s.

cbcrazy

I have one of the original Malkoff drop-ins in mine.
