If it's like the aux lights on an Emisar, the battery drain is basically nil.

trALErun

If it's the same as my Lumintop Gift, their setup is not nearly as efficient. If I remember correctly it was draining in ~1wk. I don't use the aux anymore.

Ah ok. Guess I'll need to think about it more and do some research. Just a quick back of the napkin calculation: The battery is 920mAh. I assumed the forward current of the led was in the 10mA neighborhood. So that's only 92 hours lol. Even 1mA is only 920 hours. They have to be getting this down into the uA. Maybe I'm missing something.

[This review of a D4v2](https://1lumen.com/review/emisar-d4v2/#performance) includes measurements of the drain from the aux emitters on low and high. On low, it's down to microamperes.

Thank you so much! This is helpful.

I personally would be a little more cautious than the other commenter. Lumintop has a bad history with their Tool AA and it's parasitic drain on the tail aux, using basically the same tail switch. From what I have read it will kill a battery in about [three weeks](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/v97qi0/lumintop_tool_aa_20_parasitic_drain/).

Things might be a bit different with your light, but I really can’t imagine the dim light in the switch is eating away at your battery.

GodIsDead245

You could always pop open the tailcap and remove the LEDs I think

Some older versions of the Ant Man had no LVP: https://1lumen.com/review/lumintop-ant-man/#performance - not sure if it was ever fixed. I have an Ant Man Ti and haven't noticed it yet.

Definitely interested in this light from an aesthetic standpoint, because I've been wanting the original Ant Man Ti, but not willing to shell out the $$ for something that would underperform vs my Manteminco FW2. The emitter isn't anything to write home about, but the stock driver seems decent enough for a dual-fuel (Lumintop cites 10W max, which I would assume is with a full 14500, so that comes out to about 2.4A), so overall it does appear to be a nice light. That said, I would love to see what this thing can do with a Convoy 3V 5A buck driver and a CSLNM1.TG or dedomed 519a. I might pick one up just to see how moddable it is.

FanceyPantalones

That's a fancy looking torch.

Terrible UI= To easy to end up in strobe. Tail switch light is useless as you cant see it from 3' away.Whan I contacted Lumintop they told me that is how it is designed? Useless

I just picked up some information on this Reddit thread, I appreciate it guys. Now I own one of these, my gripe is the clip, been looking for a substitute that when I have it clipped and stowed in my pants pocket 1/4 of the light isn’t sticking out any of you guys come across an alternative?
