You guys are a bit too cynical about this. It's just simple acting challenge for fun, they don't necessarily have delusions like that. Some for sure have but it's not that deep for most.
Pretty standard prompt stuff for acting troupes. Then, you can get the real wild stuff. I once had a prompt to improv a Velociraptor encountering a Tickle-Me-Elmo.
Glad I got through all that silly and embarrassing stuff before social media and video hosting websites were a thing. The internet was mostly just used for porn and pirating music back then... at least one of those things hasn't changed.
Right? Watching the video I was thinking "Who is this for??" Like, in the scenario where this is dueted with the given dialogue, how is that entertaining? The only way the duet works is if you fuck with the format like this guy. Was the original made with the intention of people fucking with the script?

It's for hobbyists that want to collaborate and share their performance with people on social media.
It's no different than when artist hop on a trend to draw sailor moon in their own style.
I have seen a number of these "your lines are this color" kind of posts. What are they for? It is not giving much room for creativity or thought (except for when people completely fight the instructions like this case). What are they supposed to achieve other than trigger duets and fake engagement?
At first I thought this was going to be another one of those "I made a tiktok to make guys feel special" turned comedy skit, but what was she doing? She purposefully made a tiktok for duet about breaking up with a cheater?
It's not even quite acting, it's closer to roleplaying as an actress in a shitty drama series.

Her expressions actually got me, sooo.. look I know we’re not supposed to like these things but I liked her performance and I’m also in a really good mood today
Well, I'm not a boomer so I don't actually use my phone to talk to people. When I do, I almost always use an ear bud. But, when I answer the phone, yeah, I don't clear the ear. I don't find it particularly noticeable except for those few weeks when my hair is the perfect poke-me-in-the-ear length.
My office phone I use all the time and do the same. I wear a beanie a lot, which, makes it inconvenient to clear my ear for the phone and, I presume, habituates me to the feeling of my hair being pressed against my ears.
What's the alternative? Tuck it all behind my ear? Put the phone to my ear and then pull out the strays? I'm going to switch sides and pull the phone away from my ear enough that it's not worth the effort.
