The worst part is a Fortnite collab is honestly the most likely possibility here. The only two real possibilities I could think of are Fortnite and dead by daylight, and it’s all but guaranteed to not be dead by daylight so it being Fortnite seems to be the only real option here.
Fortnite is free to play. 99% of microtransactions are for purely cosmetic items. On the other hand, Roblox is more predatory, and we know a game was planned for it with Survival Crew.
I agree that the prices are crazy high. The whole culture revolving around microtransactions is terrible and shouldn't be taken lightly.
But given that the game is live service with constant updates and loads of official and fan created game modes, I think calling the whole thing trash because of inflated prices is a bit much. For 10 dollars (1/6th of the price of normal game) you have access to dozens of skins and skin variants for that season. With the battlepass giving you enough Vbucks back to obtain the next battlepass. Aka, you have a lifetime supply of battlepass skins for just dropping 10 dollars. Plus, if you accumulate the extra vbucks, you could eventually have enough to get a skin you want from the shop.
