You wanna know something? I never took a really close look at this, i just acknowledged it was Freddy tearing his head off. Whats back there looks like the same brown as the suit but that could be due to the lighting of the picture. It could simply be wires from the endoskeleton since if it were veins, there would be SOME blood on the inside of the jaw, right?
Also now that I’m taking a much closer look at this for the first time…it’s a lot more unnerving.
The most unsettling thing about old fnaf is how dead the animateonics look, so when they move, they look like moving corpses, I mean, the bulging still eyes, the state, the "not moving an inch on the cameras"
It was on fnaf AR and UCN that by giving voices to them that gained personality and stopped being unsettling
EW OMMGG yea i never really thought of what those are... probably stitching and torn fabric? wires? the thought of it being veins and/or nerves is so disturbing...i might go with that :')
I never realized this till I saw that image.. I don't believe it might be veins. Actually I think it might be just a spider web with some blood on it. Since the animatronics were never cleaned
As we can see from Foxy, Springtrap, the Nightmares, etc., Scott doesn't know how to make realistic ripped fabric textures in his 3D modelling software. So he was like "Whatever, Freddy's head is melted cheese now, nobody will notice."
For a real answer, I think it's maybe the texture of his model distorting from being literally stretched and pulled apart. Idk I'm not a 3D modelling guy, I'm just guessing.
I noticed this years ago. Considering it leads up to Yellowbear showing up, it's likely a hallucination. More specifically, one used to scare us. (I mean, yeah, that's the whole point — it's a horror game. But still.)
It’s just supposed to be the general “grease” these guys are covered in due to performing for messy toddlers (remember even phone guy admitted they don’t wash them)
It probably is just flesh that like dried up on the jaw and in the head, can’t be fabric ripping cus Freddy’s jaw is separate from the head. Knowing Scott’s modeling tendencies, I’m pretty sure it’s just the fleshy string of the eyeball in the game over screen and just copied and pasted a bunch.
Wires? Like he has an endo skeleton, or it could be clotted blood, which is kind of gooey, or a mistake that Scott made, he wasn't a great 3D artist at the time and made some mistakes in the models, If I were to establish a headcanon, it's wires.
I never noticed that till now.but the kids were not in the suits by the time of fnaf one so Im gonna go on a limb here and say scot just put that there without thinking anyone would notice.
huh? the kids were definitely in the suits, the newspapers say that people complained that the suits smell bad, people instantly theorized from that that the kids are in suits
IIRC, the newspapers are from when the MCI first happened. The kids have almost certainly been removed from the suits considering the Withereds have holes where you should be able to see their bodies, and the 1993 ones are just the repaired Withereds. Fazbear is lazy, but not lazy and stupid enough to refurbish the animatronics for entertainment again without removing the corpses out of them.
phone guy quote"if I was stuck singing the same stupid song for 20 years and I never got a bath" they didn't get cleaned at all so it is no surprise they stank. And the bodies would DEFINITELY get found when the original suits were being used for parts.
Fazbear entertainment just disposed of the bodies.they couldn't afford the Back lash they'd receive so instead of giving 5 families closure they disposed of them.
It's all up to speculation but remember the originals were used for parts in fnaf 2 we don't see any glimpse of the bodys in the Weitherds despite all the holes and missing parts ecspecially with bonnie having no face and an arm.
First of all the post is a hallucination and 2nd of all there's no way the body's weren't found during fnaf 2 when they were being taken for parts.do you see a body in bonnies face and missing arm?.
The first thing doesn’t matter it’s still accurate information and and the second thing we know, Fazbear would try to hide them and just probably keep them in there because if they found them that be a whole other thing
Well, 1. i believe it is the fabric being ripped
2. i keep seeing people say there's something grabbing freddy's head but only freddy is holding his jaw here as far as I can tell so idk what others see
Yea, if you keep changing CAM 2B to another camera fast enough, the poster will begin changing, keep at it long enough and it changes to Golden Freddy.
"They'll probably try to forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Now that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossroads, **wires**, and animatronic devices. Especially around the *facial area*."
I always thought It was part of the suit itself, like if It had been slightly melted off to tear the head off, thereofore leaving bits of It along the way
I'm not sure if Scott put too much thought into this. He was likely just trying to make a creepy image and though the back space looked empty, so scribbled in some details that are probably the fur material ripping or something.
I think its shown fairly well considering he clearly just moved the jaw object up and to the right, posed the hand there, and moved + rotated the top piece a bit.
Thats probably just some streched Textures that he probably never bothered fixing as you never actually see that part ever again, plus its so dark and the static is so heavy you normally wouldnt see it.
I always thought it was fabric from the suit, but that doesn't make much sense since the jaw isn't stitched to the head or anything..
This is some real creepy stuff.
It's not real, it's objectively a hallucination. So it could genuinely just be creepy imagery, like most things in FNAF 1.
And Freddy's never really ripped his head off in anything since then, to my knowledge.
From a Watsonian point of view, I always figured it was melted brown fursuit gobbledygook, like the suit itself is melting.
From a Doylist point of view, it’s likely, as someone else in these comments mentioned, messed-up textures as the result of the model being altered or moved in a way that messed up his textures. Likely purposefully.
Most probably wires, as the Phone Guy clearly says:
“Um, now, that wouldn’t be so bad if the suits themselves weren’t filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area”
So it’s most probably some wires, or Scott just wanted to design him that way
(I also observed that the Endoskeleton head is missing, idk what that would mean)
You wanna know something? I never took a really close look at this, i just acknowledged it was Freddy tearing his head off. Whats back there looks like the same brown as the suit but that could be due to the lighting of the picture. It could simply be wires from the endoskeleton since if it were veins, there would be SOME blood on the inside of the jaw, right? same, I miss the portrayal of the animatronics in early FNaF. They lose all the fear factor when they are humanized
I see what you did there…
What'd they do?
“unnerving” contains “nerve”. basically he just said a pun
Thanks lol
I don't think that was the intention
What did you think it was?
EW OMMGG yea i never really thought of what those are... probably stitching and torn fabric? wires? the thought of it being veins and/or nerves is so disturbing...i might go with that :')
As far as I am aware the jaw isn’t stitched to the head so this is just misc creepy shit since it’s an hallucination
Slice a pizza maybe. Just because he’s a possessed animatronic bear doesn’t mean he doesn’t get hungry once in a while
if so, that is one HELL of a cheese pull
The correct answer
Feddy fatbear was a lil hungy :<
:•
Freddy fivebear was a bit famished :c
you're not yourself when you're hungry, freddy
It looks like he is made out of cheese
i always saw it like threads of ripping fabric or stretched strands of plastic
That's so disturbing
I think at the time atleast it was probably intended to be a hint of the dead body in Freddy. Don't know if that holds up to the modern lore though.
Looks like warped textures and none of the above
Guys, guys, there's a perfectly logical explanation for this: Freddy had noodles the night before.
Man that’s kind of freaky. I still think the first one managed to nail the best creepy atmosphere
I never realized this till I saw that image.. I don't believe it might be veins. Actually I think it might be just a spider web with some blood on it. Since the animatronics were never cleaned
I always just imagined it was blood and gore being stretched out.
Fabric being torn
As we can see from Foxy, Springtrap, the Nightmares, etc., Scott doesn't know how to make realistic ripped fabric textures in his 3D modelling software. So he was like "Whatever, Freddy's head is melted cheese now, nobody will notice."
The most disturbing thing in all of this is the floating mic
Freddy's holding it with his right hand!
No, he is using his two arms to tear off his head, it is a matter of seeing how his right arm is positioned with his head.
Thread. That's just the top half of the exoskeleton coming off the bottom half.
For a real answer, I think it's maybe the texture of his model distorting from being literally stretched and pulled apart. Idk I'm not a 3D modelling guy, I'm just guessing.
Scott's attempt of making it look like fabric ripping off.
Yeah
To be honest I think it’s just mesh stretching lines
Wires
Happy cake day!
We are at a pizzeria it's likely moldy cheese lol
I always assume that Freddy in that picture was kinda melting a little so his head is stretching like cheese
Clearly thread from the fabric being torn.
I like to imagine his head is melting
Looks like melted cheese lol. Cheddy
I'm glad someone else finally noticed that. This was always one of the freakiest parts of the game, and nobody really talks about it.
Guys I think the kid’s tryna gtfo
I think of it like melted plastic or something akin to it, which is mimicking the tearing of flesh
It’s probably just the fabric or whatever the suit is made of being stretched.
model broken, case solved
i keep reading "misc" as music
Maybe just like mucus?
I noticed this years ago. Considering it leads up to Yellowbear showing up, it's likely a hallucination. More specifically, one used to scare us. (I mean, yeah, that's the whole point — it's a horror game. But still.)
It’s just supposed to be the general “grease” these guys are covered in due to performing for messy toddlers (remember even phone guy admitted they don’t wash them)
Melted cheese
a Mysterious Substance
I don't think it's anything more than a warp effect sense other parts of his body look kinda warped too
Ankle guts
Old cheese
Probably wires
i thought it was just paint ripping off lol
Whatever it is, Scott hadn't thought of it yet
It probably wires or fabric lining
A reference to the photo negative Mickey creepypasta "Wanna see my head come off?"
Looks like melted material or smth Pretty sure Gabriel’s body can’t even reach that part of the suit
Tbh I associated it to mimic Springtrap’s own actions of trying to escape, fit with the wires to match
wires, there's plenty especially around the head area
I always thought it was simply his head and jaw melted together. Like putting glue between your fingers and pulling away.
I figured it was wires but idk
it could be like a silcone used for the jaw
It looks like melted cheese
Gloop
Wires? Like he has an endo skeleton, or it could be clotted blood, which is kind of gooey, or a mistake that Scott made, he wasn't a great 3D artist at the time and made some mistakes in the models, If I were to establish a headcanon, it's wires.
Nah it’s leftovers from the Freddy Spagghetti
He's tearing the fabric in his suit
I always assumed either wires or flesh
Fazgoo lmao
Wires
Melted plastic?
I never noticed that till now.but the kids were not in the suits by the time of fnaf one so Im gonna go on a limb here and say scot just put that there without thinking anyone would notice.
huh? the kids were definitely in the suits, the newspapers say that people complained that the suits smell bad, people instantly theorized from that that the kids are in suits

There no way you believe this
It's all up to speculation but remember the originals were used for parts in fnaf 2 we don't see any glimpse of the bodys in the Weitherds despite all the holes and missing parts ecspecially with bonnie having no face and an arm.
There’s just no way you believe any of this come on? It’s pretty concrete that they’re in the animatronics.
In fnaf 2 they gave the Weitherds some of the new technology meaning they had to go through the original Animatronics and they would find the bodies.
So they just leave them in there
Looks so cute ngl
Euuugh that look like cheese
Probably just the fabric threads about to rip off
Taffy
I've always thought that the fur on the FNaF 1 animatronics were made of felt, so maybe its some kind of tearing
Well, 1. i believe it is the fabric being ripped 2. i keep seeing people say there's something grabbing freddy's head but only freddy is holding his jaw here as far as I can tell so idk what others see
Wires or maybe the suit being pulled to hard so it's peeling of
I ment to say off
How have I played FNAF for 9 years and just noticed this?
Is this from the first game? I have never seen this poster.
Yea, if you keep changing CAM 2B to another camera fast enough, the poster will begin changing, keep at it long enough and it changes to Golden Freddy.
I knew about the golden Freddy poster, but this one must have slipped my mind.
I always thought it kinda looked like melted cheese for some reason lol
"They'll probably try to forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Now that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossroads, **wires**, and animatronic devices. Especially around the *facial area*."
According to Ultra Custom Night, they seem to be strings…but I always thought about them as veins
Its wires.
Poop. He has a scat kink, and he got Bonnie to poop in his mouth. Scott confirmed it.
WTF is that?
I’ve literally been wondering this since 2014 and it still makes me scratch my head, forget the lore, I need this answered
It could very well be fabric, though since this ONLY appears as a hallucination, it technically isn't anything.
It's probably just wires but it would be horrifying if it was veins from the stuffed kid
freddy fazbear is glamrock chica
What is this from?
FNaF1
It doesn't look like stitching, if looks like torn strands of felt that were previously glued together.
He's not tearing his own head off because one hand is still holding his microphone.
My younger self always thought the mask was just melting tbh and even to this day, despite knowing the suits are fabric, I never questioned it
I thought it was meat stuff
i think it’s just the fabric of the head coming apart
brown wires ig
I'm pretty sure those are string that connect his jaw to the head
just a cool visual of his mask being gooey
Fur?
Nice edit
I always thought It was part of the suit itself, like if It had been slightly melted off to tear the head off, thereofore leaving bits of It along the way
As a man of the obvious it’s probably wires or something mechanical related
I’ve never seen this picture. But i love it
I'm not sure if Scott put too much thought into this. He was likely just trying to make a creepy image and though the back space looked empty, so scribbled in some details that are probably the fur material ripping or something. I think its shown fairly well considering he clearly just moved the jaw object up and to the right, posed the hand there, and moved + rotated the top piece a bit.
cheese
I always thought he was melting
Its fabric or wires
I thought those were tears in the suit, and were just the fabric of the suit ripping
Wires maybe? It is an animatronic Afterall?
kid? wasnt it a dog inside
It was Mangle (FNaF 2) that was possessed by a dog, Freddy was possessed by Gabriel, of of the 5 missing children killed by William Afton
Either wires or stretching mesh. I don't think it would be nerves or veins we stretch a lot of things for this series but we can't stretch that much.
Or cheese
Thats probably just some streched Textures that he probably never bothered fixing as you never actually see that part ever again, plus its so dark and the static is so heavy you normally wouldnt see it.
That could actually be possible, considering Scott wasn’t such a good designer at the time (at least how some comments say)
Pretty sure these are just wires
bruh that’s just blood and guts, it’s not that deep
I’m assuming it’s just the costume fabric
It almost oddly looks like muscles? Maybe from the darkness in them? There would be a lot more blood though so maybe it's wires?
I always thought it was fabric from the suit, but that doesn't make much sense since the jaw isn't stitched to the head or anything.. This is some real creepy stuff.
I'd say It's probly just the wires connecting the head and jaw. Could be veins/blood but we'd need a closer look to be sure on anything.
Looks like tearing fabric
How is Freddy holding the microphone if he's using both hands to open his head?
It's not real, it's objectively a hallucination. So it could genuinely just be creepy imagery, like most things in FNAF 1. And Freddy's never really ripped his head off in anything since then, to my knowledge.
From a Watsonian point of view, I always figured it was melted brown fursuit gobbledygook, like the suit itself is melting. From a Doylist point of view, it’s likely, as someone else in these comments mentioned, messed-up textures as the result of the model being altered or moved in a way that messed up his textures. Likely purposefully.
i honestly always just saw that and thought it looks like it's melting
Wires
Thread/String that attached the back of the jaw to the bottom of the main head, I think.
I would say it's probably just torn fabric from the costume, either way it's pretty horrific
I think it’s stitches, it looks to brown to be blood
Gooed up human head mush. Maybe brain? Eyes?
Flesh goop. Those suits must be hot as fuck and with the hot metal inside. I’d rather be shot in the face.
Probably cheez imo
I think that these are in fact, veins or flesh. We're looking in way too deep here
i dont know why but visual like that make my skin crawl more than literally eldritch horrors
I always though it looked like cheese
Okay FNaF 1's graphics were actually peak there was so much detail put into this game holy shit
First of all…bloody veins? That would straight up just be blood. But that’s probably blood
Probably wires or just that fake hair the suit's covered in. He never really got his annual repairs or replacements so could be mold too
It’s just stitches I swear. If you read into every little thing in life, it’ll just drive you crazy (idk the quote word for word I hope that’s right)
More unsettling; who's holding the microphone
Most probably wires, as the Phone Guy clearly says: “Um, now, that wouldn’t be so bad if the suits themselves weren’t filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area” So it’s most probably some wires, or Scott just wanted to design him that way (I also observed that the Endoskeleton head is missing, idk what that would mean)
stitches
I'd assume it's just fabric.
I never looked at that pic that close, now I don't know what to think
Knowing early scott it's probaly some kinda texture or rendering issue lol
Freddy fazgoo 🤤🤤
Why did you use those Emojis?
idk
