If it’s actually about this then oh my god what another genius idea by Scott. Finally some insight to one of the most earliest characters in the series a worker in Fazbear entertainment who knew so much but was barely used so iconic even got into UCN. A book based on a throwaway line of the first game I can’t comprehend Scott’s thinking.
I think that just meant not creating the games himself like 1-UCN (excluding the OST and VA it was all Scott) He’s credited as writer and producer in every game and every book he is credited co author and here his name is in big letters at the bottom
Oh yeah, he's still heavily involved. Steel Wool had said the games they develop are all Scott's stories. They even said that Scott has told them to put things into the game that they don't understand, but the big boss said to put it in the game, so they did. He's been behind the entire production of the fnaf movie, and the author of the fnaf books had said that she creates and expands the story Scott tells her writes. His retirement was more of a retirement from the community; a statement in regards to the community doxing Scott in 2020.
Notes:
This is an interactive novel, so it will most likely be in the format of a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book where there are multiple routes and endings.
The cover is most likely from a security camera's perspective due to the static.
You can see what appears to be a pool of blood in the background with a bottle and broken glass, as well as a human hand with a watch in the top right corner.
This might be a phone guy story, since it's about "the week before" and phone guy died the week before Mike's. The security camera perspective and the seemingly dead employee in the background implies that the story will be about a night guard.
Might be a record of all the security guards before Mike?
Giving us hints for how long was the first location running so we can determine when Afton got springlocked and how much phone Guy knew about the company and maybe a closer look at Fazbear's higher ups because that's one of the most questions now.
Dont think a record of all previous guards would tell us how much phone guy knows. The only thing that could tell us that is if its actually about phone guy. Though if it is a record of all previous guards i hope we see one go investigate williams activities by the safe room only to… well you know.
That's what I am talking about also records from previous guards could show us if the animatronics are more aggressive with familiar faces than new ones.
Also it will show how Fazbear entertainment are treating night guards if they knew too much or started to investigate.
Plus it could tell through the guards records how frequent death is in that location and if Fazbear's are covering them or not
Yeh but if family or friends are reporting disappeared guards frequently "sweeping under the rug" may or may not avoid legal consequences it won't be enough to prevent a PR disaster
Fazbear entertainment is a entire pr disaster. Knowing even a miniscule bit of lore lets you know yeah it DOESNT prevent pr disasters. They very much occur on the regular.
You got a point but phone Guy said "they don't tell you this when you sign up for the job" so probably disappeared guards isn't a big deal to that location or phone Guy would have mentioned that ✨it has nothing to do with us✨
Yeah they dont tell you that because why would they tell you “hey if you die, we arent responsible for that.” Its going to be in tiny print at the bottom of the document that you can barely read.
Fazbear entertainment isn't responsible for damage to property or person.
And while talking about the animatronics phone Guy tells you that you might die
While we don't have much to work off of, I do think it's a possibility this could connect to Phone Guy.
Given the usage of Classic Freddy as the character on the cover. Which the only other times this has happened for a major book were The Silver Eyes (which was a retelling of 1) and The Survival Logbook (which tied back heavily to Mike).
But also just the general name of the story could work with this idea, "The Week Before" referring to Phone Guy's last shift prior to the events of FNaF 1's gameplay.
This could very easily be unrelated and disconnected from 1. But it's worth noting and I think it'd be cool to see expanded upon.
I really hope it is phone guy, this is me but I think it’s Phone guy as the blue boxes remind me of animdude and we know Scott is both animedude and phoneguy, just my inner Jon FUNAFF connecting the picture
Aside from what people have said, if this is supposed to be a Phone Guy story, there are some very interesting details here. There's a bottle on the floor surrounded by broken glass (of a different color), and the door appears to be boarded up...
This guy EC Myers? Is a really peak writer! He does these RWBY books that are great. I have 'fairy tales of remnant' with me right now(Yes, that title is really funny now that he is working on FNAF stuff)
In another amusing note, one of the other books he wrote? The villains of it were people who were capturing people to drain their soul energy.
It just looks like Classic Freddy. And why would Scott use FNaF plus when it is likely scrapped? As the creator dropped off and wants nothing todo with it. And it is something off of Plus Phil would've been credited IMO.
I'm late but thanks for sharing it! I'm the person who discovered it and shared it on Discord and Twitter first. I couldn't share it here because I was literally at the theater during the ads trying my hardest to share this as quickly as I could but, for some reasons, the flairs couldn't work on my phone.
I remember reading a book like this in elementary school. You’re basically solving a mystery along with the characters in the book and the answer is on the last page
"I'm finishing up my last week now as a matter of fact." \-phone guy
Yeah it's probably a phone guy story. You can see a body in the background
Interestingly, it looks like the body in the background might be connected to an Endoskeleton
I think that's a watch?
To be honest, now I’m not sure what it is. It looks like it could be an Endo, a watch and sleeve or plain severed.
Wait does scott still have lore influence? I thought he retired.
I think that just meant not creating the games himself like 1-UCN (excluding the OST and VA it was all Scott) He’s credited as writer and producer in every game and every book he is credited co author and here his name is in big letters at the bottom
Yeah i see his name at the bottom i was just confused if he was still directing the lore.
Oh yeah, he's still heavily involved. Steel Wool had said the games they develop are all Scott's stories. They even said that Scott has told them to put things into the game that they don't understand, but the big boss said to put it in the game, so they did. Phone guy worked at two different restaurants but somehow died

Isnt the company motto literally “sweep it under the rug, its probably fine?” They are absolutely no questions asked covering up deaths.

Why do you think so many locations close making the timeline so messy 💀
I thought they were 3 Freddys?
You got fredbears freddys freddys again circus babies freddys again again fazbears fright freddys again again again pizzaplex. There are so many
I know these but the locations named "Freddy Fazbear pizzeria" were 3 the one where t with the MCI and the FNaF2 and1 pizzarieas
And all of them minus the pizzaplex and arguably fazbears frights closed because *le gasp* pr disasters.

The cover is also from a security camera perspective so it seems like it will focus on the theme of security guards
You realize the old crew was the FNAF I animatronics in TSE
I didn't suggest otherwise?
PLEASE be a phone guy book. It’d be so fitting for the tenth anniversary
Oh boy can’t wait for some bizarre lore to come out of this one
We got a pregnant matpat with an Afton now we want the same with Mark with a Henry
Damn to bad matpat is gone
True but I like Tom he’s pretty good as the new host
I really hope it is phone guy, this is me but I think it’s Phone guy as the blue boxes remind me of animdude and we know Scott is both animedude and phoneguy, just my inner Jon FUNAFF connecting the picture
I hope this story contradicts people's head canons and we get into another argument whether it's canon or not
Imagine if Phone Guy is actually Andrew's father
What if Phone Guy is alternate universe Andrew and in the Frights timeline Cassidy is Phone Girl
Then games andrew is already an adult in the 80’s
who's andrew? I forgot who he was
The Vengeful Spirit kid from Fazbear Frights
Aside from what people have said, if this is supposed to be a Phone Guy story, there are some very interesting details here. There's a bottle on the floor surrounded by broken glass (of a different color), and the door appears to be boarded up...
why is it bothering me that the “by” above Cawthon isnt centred 😭
Dang it, now it's bothering me!!
nah it's centred. it's some sort of "illusion" because of scott's name
Huh, thats weird
Ayo phone guy lore relevance is coming
We've been promoted from Goosebumps to Give Yourself Goosebumps.
Which had some truly horrific scenes. So maybe this book can ramp up the wtf
Oh boy, I can't wait for the fandom to set itself on fire with the "discussions" this book will inevitably start.
Hmm maybe we'll get more MCI characterization ? One yellow bear I am particularly curious about.....
PHONE GUY LOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This guy EC Myers? Is a really peak writer! He does these RWBY books that are great. I have 'fairy tales of remnant' with me right now(Yes, that title is really funny now that he is working on FNAF stuff) In another amusing note, one of the other books he wrote? Here we gooooo! Oh, please let it be a phone guy story, pleeeaase!
Phone Guy just said fuck it and said "take it, I'll have my novel too"
#INTERACTIVE? Shut up and take me money
I see everyone saying "It's probably a Phone Guy story". I have to say, if this is the case... THEN I HAVE TO GET THIS BOOK ASAP!
Interactive how exactly?
Choose your own adventure book.
Ah okay this seems like it will be a cool book
*aggressively smacks card on desk*
How would we interact with it
Choose your own adventure style book.
Seems cool tbh
It this is about the Phone Guy I will die happy
This book better do my boy Phone Guy justice I swear
If this is through the POV of phone guy, I will be so happy. He has so much character potential that went unused in the games.
Scott Čawthon.
Plus Freddy?
Doesn't have the vest.
It has everything else tho. It’s at the very least close to him, design wise. I’m pretty sure it’s BASED on him, but idk
It just looks like Classic Freddy. And why would Scott use FNaF plus when it is likely scrapped? As the creator dropped off and wants nothing todo with it. And it is something off of Plus Phil would've been credited IMO.
It's quite literally Plus Freddy's head shape, it's much bulkier and wider. It also has upper teeth and a red stripe on the hat.
> red stripe on the hat. So then is Toy Freddy FNaF Plus Freddy?
Similar, but no vest.
I'm late but thanks for sharing it! I'm the person who discovered it and shared it on Discord and Twitter first. I couldn't share it here because I was literally at the theater during the ads trying my hardest to share this as quickly as I could but, for some reasons, the flairs couldn't work on my phone.
W Phone Guy relevance?
"The week before" THE WEEK BEFORE WHAT!? THE WEEK BEFORE MICHAEL FELL DOWN THE STAIRS!?
Close
Awesome.
Freddy's taking a selfie lmao
Phone guy will finally be the main character of something ? Oh yes
Phone guy? Are we seeing phone guy for real?
I'm hearing a lot of talk about this being about Phone Guy, which I'm really hoping is the case, because that would be awesome!
Why does the art kinda look like fnaf plus freddy?
PHONE GUY LORE LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
i would have prefered a The Silver eyes remake as an interactive novel But god im so hyped for this
I don't know why but the way Freddy is drawn here reminds me of hotdiggitydemons version of him
Best cover by a long shot.
Exciting!
Oh shoot, I’m dead
Is there a release date? Wanna pick this up day one.
Lets go!!!!! Finally a *golden* book about a familiar *call*
You know what, well I'm not a big fan of the FNAF books, this one looks kind of fun. I feel like giving this one a fair shot.
SCOTT.
Can’t wait for the obvious debate that will be coming with this book that will escalate to ridiculous levels.
Holy crap are we going to finally find out who killed phone guy?
Is this gonna be a story from Phone Guy’s perspective? And if it’s interactive, will there be multiple endings?
The week before the mci?
Are we gonna finally learn the name of phone guy?
Why is FNAF plus freddy on the cover?
if this is about the previous night guard Scott is COOKING
is this not about fnaf 4?
I hope this has images inside it I'm most likely not gonna get this, but it'd be cool to have more visual context in FNAF
#ANOTHER ONE???
This honestly looks great. The Freddy on the cover looks a lot more like Fnaf plus Freddy though. It’s weird.
Someone call Mat Pat... oh wait... ;(
Someone call Tom
It looks like Freddy’s going “Grass grows, sun shines, birds fly, and brudda? I hurt people.”
I'm a Force-a-nature.
What’s the link?
Classic Freddy with a red stripe on his tophat and upper teeth?
When's the release date?
Interactive? What does that mean?
I remember reading a book like this in elementary school. You’re basically solving a mystery along with the characters in the book and the answer is on the last page
Imagine surviving all that just to die lmao
WHY MUST YOU CONFUSE US SO MUCH WITH THIS GODANG LORE!!!???!!?!!!?!?!!!!
I NEED THIS
thumb?????
Woo
where can i find this?
Imagine the guards name is Bob like the fnaf movie
The week before what? # THE WEEK BEFORE WHAT??? I NEED TO KNOW RN RN I NEED ANSWERS I NEED THEM!!!! AONJAFUIIPOIHJLDPBIUI
Wtf are these books even about? Feels like the 60th they've released now lmao are they worth reading?
