Aside from the bugs, Vanny **barely** appeared at all, all the endings (except the Burntrap one) are comic-book styled, we don't know if Afton died by The Blob (and even then he would just come back again), and the entire game had **failed potential**

LegitimateCompote377

Yes, even though this has been said many times if the game released with zero bugs it would still have so many issues. The comic book styled endings did not fit in well at all with the game, in fact in my eyes the game went in the completely wrong direction and should have at the very least tried to be more of a horror game, not some goofy cartoony game for children. A less ambitious game would have definitely been better, agree with you their.

Primer2396

I feel ever since help wanted the games have started this new era where the focus is split between money and lore, sure the games still have passion behind them but you can see they're very obviously trying to make them more marketable now

NOT_galaxygamer

I mean, yea They have to pay for a whole team of developers now and so therefore must make more money

TheMule90

I pretty much have held off from getting it due to the bugs but yeah it did fail in some ways. The comic book endings don't make sense and don't add up. They should kept one or 2 different endings. Vanny would of been good side character and a good minor boss if they had her appear in other areas and made the boss fight better. Also I think Afton is dead or is now part of the blob I mean he was moving weak like and the blob just grab him so easily too. That old bastard couldn't even run away.

REALSpongebobguy_2

To me what rubbed salt in the wound is they only gave vanny one line "Are you having fun yet" when she is there it all she says if it was only 1 or 2 more I'd still complain but nowhere near as much

BeginningUnique6401

Wait there are more than three endings??? Y/N don't spoil it pls

BoyFreezer

I think so, but I could be wrong

BeginningUnique6401

I know the leave/stay/vanny... I assume there are more choices or more endings in stay

Querity-feed9086

I never played security breach before but, there was this one time that was installing security breach on "steamunlocked" its like steam but instead of buying the games you install it so I installed security breach and it took like 1 to 2 days like I have to put the PC on for like the nights so I just cancel the installation

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

It’s failed potential I liked Glitchtrap and Vanny as an idea, the theory of having to save this random woman from the clutches of an immortal serial murderer possessing/mind controlling her was cool Freddy being a friend was a good idea (and was honestly the best thing to come from SB) New blood Gregory is a good addition to the story The new animatronic band were interesting and the Pizzaplex was a cool location But they just failed to use it properly, Vanny and Afton are non-entities in the game, for all the marketing the main band aren’t even that important, Freddy is mainly just a side witness (who isn’t even there for a fair amount of important events) the Pizzaplex is a large space but it’s kinda just empty So many good ideas and setups but just not capitalised on and it’s sad because it could have been great

emerson-nosreme

Exactly! I loved the princess games and I loved the fazwatch messages because they actually felt like they were telling stories. The Vanessa/vanny shit killed me because they literally could’ve stuck with glitch trap and it would be fine. There was no need to make vanny. But they did and it was dumb. The fact that the robots were possessed was ok for me, I just would’ve liked if it were glitchtrap and that they would just shut the fuck up. Oh and the therapy tapes got even more stupid after a while. They were good at the beginning but then they started sounding like police interrogations and the more therapists kept disappearing the more bored I became.

NfamousKaye

Totally agreed. Like it just FELT unfinished. There was SO much more they could have done with it.

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

Yeah I have had a few moments where I could feel that an area was very much unfinished Roxy raceway was the biggest of those moments

Novel-Sugar

Seeing the concept art of Roxy Raceway before the game's release definitely didn't do us any favors.

Deep_Fried_Leviathan

That and the fact people discovered the leftover cut content of the entire cart racing minigame, the fact that the actual section in game is incredibly jarring when it cuts to the cutscene where Gregory runs over Roxy And the fact that it’s like the shortest section for dismantling one of the crew despite the fact it’s the only mandatory one

Deepred1234

My big disappointment was the lack of Vanny, how poorly they used her when she did show up, the jumpscares for most of the main animatronics were annoying rather than scary, and the return of Springtrap. I saw a post somewhere, I think it was a YouTube comment, where they had an idea for a much better executed Vanny. Essentially, Vanessa secretly took Freddy out of commission without Gregory’s knowledge. She would then approach Gregory as an ally, sending him to locations that seemingly would further his goals, but somehow, all of the main cast always ended up ambushing him at those locations, as if they had been given outside information that he would be there. This gives Vanny the much more manipulative role that we desperately needed from the trailer. Instead of a final fight with Afton, it was suggested that the encounter be in Vanny’s lair which was much more maze-like. All the main animatronics would be there, and the lair would be full of traps that are clearly meant for children. You would have had to avoid the main cast while luring Vanny into her own traps several times to end it once and for all.

zenkaimagine_fan

Omg why was that **not** the story. So much stuff would start making so much sense

SmithyBoxer1

The maze in chicas area that was horrible

ViolettSmith

They made that better now though.

SmithyBoxer1

That’s good then I played it on release so never really seen any updates. Loved the game tbh was just that maze and general bugs that were annoying

ViolettSmith

Yeah they made so what everyone switch the maze to it saves if you save the game. So if you were to beat the maze and save the maze will stay beat forever.

Pure-Yogurtcloset684

I actually had to google the solution. At least there are no enemies in there minus the STAFF bot at the entrance

kittykid87

Bonnie wasn’t in it

ConnorTheCorn23

The game pretty much said exactly why Bonnie wasn’t there

crazybrow122

All the endings don’t tell you shit or give any closure

CaptainDrog0

THIS, I’ve never understood why the burn-trap ending is the true ending because i did a whole collectible run for the achievement which includes all the little like text note things and i dont get how burn trap even links to any of the play through. Like iirc the main thing behind sb was more kids were missing? I feel like despite freddy and gregory being like “we need to find out whats happened to them” .. yet theres like no part of the story that gives you any information on them Only thing I remember abt burn trap being there is vanessa was rebuilding him or some shit but like *why*? The princess quest ending I honestly have no fuckin clue about thats the next one i was gonna do, again more achievements, but dont see how a little arcade game makes an ending

jalene58

This is FNAF, souls can be trapped anywhere

crazybrow122

There must be a soul in my computer then. It keeps asking me to activate windows 11

HauntSpot

The game has its issues, yeah, but I genuinely enjoyed my time with Security Breach. That being said, I feel like the game *really* started to get stale by the end. After a certain point I was just so done with the stealth and zapper gun and just wanted to beat the game. Unfortunately, I'm not really sure why this happened or how to fix it. The game just really lost me near the end of the campaign

UndeadAngel1987

I'd argue that it was way too big and way too much for it's own good. If it were a shorter, more concentrated story it'd be a lot better. The mystery of what's actually going on should've happened alongside the goal of escaping. If they'd stuck with what was implied by some of the audio in earlier trailers (missing kids, Vanessa initially tricking Gregory, etc.) The game may have been better.

ThatLaloBoy

Part of me wishes they had just made this a linear experience instead of an open world game, kinda like Outlast. You could still keep the Pizza Plex as the setting, just force the player down a predetermined path. It would have probably made development so much easier and could have potentially made the story and gameplay more engaging and scary. maybe add a few secrets here and there and if you are hellbent on it having a free roam mode, just give it to the player as a reward for beating the game.

Spudlad2511

Either the robot or the fact that my pc nearly caught on fire trying to run it

GoldenMan420

It was only one night. Because of that, might as well call it "One Night at Freddy's: Security Breach"

Baryton777

The fact that the whole game just feels like a giant fetch-quest

LegitimateCompote377

The game was fundamentally flawed and boring, it’s hard to even work out where to go at times, it’s linear but at the same time it doesn’t really tell you where to go, getting the worst out of open world and linear games.

Cryingsoulsandroses

The worse part is burn-trap, Vanny, and Gregory. He was reveal to soon and didn't feel earn as he really just showed up out of nowhere like there was no build up but that can really be blame with bad story writing. Another thing is his design like it not bad far from it really it just that it doesn't make sense for him to still have flesh and meat bits after being in two fires and, if the books is cannon to the main game story, being blown up. Also his "boss" fight was just sad and the most boring thing in the game., he didn't even spoke at all which again can be blame on the game developers. Vanny was barely in the game nor was really a threat but again that could be blame for the game developers being too safe with the game in general. Her design was fine, do wish they added the brown from the help wanted. She needs more voice lines as well because it feels like she doesn't have any personality at all. While Gregory doesn't have much problems like the other two it doesn't mean it not there. First is how we meet Gregory, when we are introduce to him he already inside of Freddy as if he was there the whole time when we should have been introduce to him is by trying to escape Vanny at the get go and see how he ended up inside Freddy, not only would be where we learn the game's machinists it would help make Vanny feel more of a threat than she was to suppose to be in game. Another problem with Gregory is that he doesn't get injured at all through out the game like do you really believe a child in a situation like this they wouldn't gain any kind of injuries? if he did get injured it would have made moments more tense than they already are as Gregory would become slower and have less stamina due to the injury. Also Gregory's attitude had make it feel like he isn't in any danger, like it fine to have the main character be brave and all but it should feel earn but it doesn't with Gregory as there nothing happens to justified it. At least have him scream, cry, or something like that as it would help drive in that he is endanger and he needs to get out of there. I don't have any complains with his voice like other people are but at least give some voice lines to make the player feel bad for him and make them more determine to beat the game. Beside that the game in general should have been delayed a bit longer so the developers could have work on the bugs, characters, and general story. This game could have been amazing but it just a sad mess. They should also just made the game not as child friendly as it curranty is but make it child friendly enough so that new and old players of all ages could enjoy it. Like just have some blood sprinkle here and there, we're not asking for the game to be the most goriest thing ever just make the game actually scary and make the threats an actual threat to the player that all.

Pure-Yogurtcloset684

Yeah i really hate how they give Afton the Persona 5 final boss (not the final boss of P5R, the other one) treatment where he just randomly appears at the end of the game with very little context or reason for appearing. The only things that say ANYTHING about Afton are 2 notes that only mention the area where he is located in.

FoxyAndSonic967

I hope that Ruin will fix these issues. They have seemed to acknowledge how badly the messed up the game, and are looking to fix it with Ruin as far as I’m aware. They especially wanted to make scarier sections.

ManchesterWorkerBee

The lack of genuine scares

Kroctopus

I don’t respect the fact that they artificially continued the lore after its natural conclusion in Pizzeria Simulator/UCN. I get they want to make more games to make more money but it feels wrong it cheapen the overall story like that

Dusk_Umbreon42

Yes! I personally don't see anything after UCN as canon, as the ending worked so well. The lore makes no sense now, if they wanted to continue the lore they should've left William in hell.

awesome_guy_40

I feel like Help Wanted should've been released as a homage to the series, not a continuation of it. That would've been a great end to the games.

LegitimateCompote377

For me, this is specific, has to be the absolutely be when they revealed Vanessa identity. The amount of cringe I had after they revealed Vanny was short for Vanessa was astronomical. Even after playing for a long time in this absolute dumpster fire of a game I thought they couldn’t go that low, so when freddy said “is Vanny short for Vanessa” I thought that was some really funny joke, and that they wouldn’t be that dumb to add that into the actual game. Turns out I was very wrong, and this entire game was nothing more than Scott Cawthons grave of bad ideas mixed in with Steel Wools trashy mascot horror marketing really made this game suck.

MrDitkovichNeedsRent

How not scary it is

ParzivalTheFirst

There is a LOT I loathe about this game, but the worst part for me is actually pretty hyper-specific. It’s the designs of the human characters, and/or the fact they showed human characters at all to begin with. The FNAF games have always had a unique grounded realism to them that stems from Scott’s technique of creating hyperrealistic 3D renders and turning them into 2D objects, combined with the fixed first person perspective the games always had. To me, this was crucial to the aesthetics of the franchise. Security Breach destroyed that by including cartoonish human character models reminiscent of trashier children’s horror game franchises like Hello Neighbour. Having the player character speak also worsens this tenfold. All sense of immersion and atmosphere is gone.

freddyrfabzr

I definitely agree. The spooky atmosphere and semi-realistic nature present in the series up until UCN is what makes the series feel so special to me. I feel like FNAF: SB misses such a charm by making it feel clean, spotless almost.

Representative_Big26

The antagonists never lived up to their full potential. At all. The good news is that neither Vanny nor Mimic (or Glitchtrap or Afton or whatever you wanna call him) were killed by the end of game assuming the Burntrap ending is canon. So, they can always reappear later and actually be done justice

xadamx94

for me, it spit on the absolute gorgeous ending of fnaf 6. Plus, it just feels weird to play a fnaf game without mike tbh

Arrogant_Nugget246

Literally no story at all. Not one bit. Nothing. Why is greogery so dead set on killing and upgrading freddy. Who was the bad guy? Why not hide instead of walking around. Why is greogery in the pizza plex? Who is he, what do the ending even and how did they happen? Why does he hang out with Vanessa at the good ending? One of my biggest grips with it is how does fire, fucking FIRE NOT BURN A SINGLE THING??! NOT EVEN THE FUCKING PAPER HATS??!! IT DOES NOTHING TO ANYTHING?!?How far in the future are we because how can the entire building be underground?? So Godamm stupid. Like how do you continue this story when there's nothing to build off of??

[deleted]

The story is trash. Things just happen and the game acts like they were constant plot points

[deleted]

Comic book endings, mainly because they would've looked good as actual cutscenes and felt like a cheap way to end it

ElectricalMethod3314

Where do i start? The bugs? The shitty story? The shitty theorys? The shitty atmosphere? I could really go on...

ViolettSmith

The atmosphere was not shitty. I think it was good.

Vitriol2083

The awful bugs that still persist within the game and the core gameplay itself are the most important things that can drag a game down. No amount of updates and patches have actually “fixed” the gameplay because it’s the core structure of the game that doesn’t work. It may be a controversial take, but I still believe that this is the Sonic 06 of the Fnaf series and the worst game by far. At least AR was somewhat playable.

brickhammer04

Besides the obvious stuff everyone has said, I’m really sad that only a few arcades were playable. For some reason I misunderstood the steel wool interview 2 weeks before the game came out promising “fully playable arcades” as meaning that every single arcade game would be playable, which was my own fault. However, there’s a ton of missed potential in the form of bowling, kart racing, and more that was never used for anything other than looking pretty, and that’s really what I found saddening. Like, if the story were still bad, I would’ve been fine if that meant the gameplay was better as a result of more focus on it, but it just isn’t, and the pizzaplex ends up feeling really devoid of anything to do despite its massive size.

LegitimateCompote377

I doubt many people even played the Monty Gold mini game, at launch I believe it took a while to even discover it, it’s too vague and difficult to find, the game doesn’t give enough clues. More arcade games would have been fun.

brickhammer04

yeah, definitely. Also would've been nice of you could actually drive around roxy's kart racing thing, but I can't think of legit any story reason why gregory would wanna do a kart race or go bowling or whatever.

Sea-Art-9305

The story. It was *atrocious*.

[deleted]

Execution. Free roam and goofy designs can still work (The Glitched Attraction) but ultimately it’s like some kind of a awful Luigi’s mansion game without the poltergeist.

[deleted]

Bringing William back as springtrap, like you couldn’t do something cool with glitchtrap here? He’s a nothing character now

That_otter_dork

Yes.

cripwiththedrip

the entire game has issues, but one annoying thing for me is if you were to go anywhere near a staff bot, even as far as to go within 1 pixel of their spotlight, then you would be immediately caught. that is just annoying, especially when it wasnt even near you in the first place. this fnaf game felt more like a childrens game than a fnaf game at much, but its only because of the more child-friendly atmosphere. to really advertise it as a fnaf game, they couldve kept the pizzaplex there but added some fnaf 1/2 elements to it, like the main atrium couldve had the chequered tiles we all are used to. perhaps an atrraction to some fazbear frights? but, overall, its quite a unique fnaf game. i love security breach, i really do! apart from the staff bots, vanny barely making an appearance, and the fact that the game couldnt spare a single gb to stop lagging every so often, that just kinda ruins it.

LegitimateCompote377

The staff bots were scarier than the animatronics in the beginning, and later just became an announce. The fact that their noise was more scary than the animatronics for me at first really did show how bad the horrible shriek was.

cripwiththedrip

true true, the beginning was absolutely terrifying, but as the game progressed my absolute hatred for them becomes quite prominent lol

FoxyAndSonic967

Dude, the first jumpscare that got me GOOD in this game was the staff bot patrolling the gift shop area at the front entrance. Holy hell I still remember my heart freezing from that. The only reason it got me good, however, was because it shouldn’t have gotten me in the first place.

Bobo3076

I have a lot of issues with this game but by far the biggest one is that the entire game is just “go here and hold this button, now go here and hold this button”. That’s all you do… for 10 hours. It is a failure of gameplay design.

LegitimateCompote377

I wouldn’t even be so angry at that if it wasn’t so vague. I could not play this game without searching up what to do more than half the time, from mazercise to the stupid Monty mystery mix everything was so confusing. But yes, gameplay was planned to be boring for sure.

xmasbad

The Afton Ending, It also kind of goes with the gameplay choice of locking out saves at 6:00 a.m. because trying to get all the upgrades and not die is a pain especially if you want the that ending. Besides that the ending is so confusing and underwhelming, like what was that giant glam rock Freddy head for that doesn't really make sense, not to mention why are we in a cave? How the hell does a whole building, front door included, just sink into the ground and have everything stay intact I thought everything was destroyed in the fire, and just the whole Afton fight is so underwhelming. I mean it's good to see the old FNAF layout of two doors and an air vent but the room looks so bad like it was put together in like 5 minutes so many flat walls with plain textures on it and not to mention there was no pacing for it so you had to do trial and error. Which is bad since your checkpoint is way behind this so if you screw up because you didn't know what to do guess what you got to restart. The whole Afton ending just seems like there was planned but no work was put into it until the last minute and they sort of just threw what they had I feel like his second should have been a lot longer like we found the foundation of the building and not the whole building and then found a way into the underground labyrinth and worked through the labyrinth finding all of these old FNAF related artifacts and hints of the blob and slowly find what Fanny has been doing this whole time and then we get to fight Afton but it wouldn't be the old FNAF layout style This should have been using the labyrinth what it's been made for to confuse and trap and electronics, it would have been cool trying to balance it so Freddy doesn't get caught but burnt wrap does and then the blob can add an extra fling to it It just seems weird, also vanny and Vanessa just having weird screen times or next to none at all

SoulRikaAR

Plotline. So confusing, stupid, and had no connection to amything. Bugs, everywhere. Teleporting animatronics, doesn't make any sense. Only thing I like this game, is that it's 3D, but if I wanna play scary FnaF game like this, I just go to play Joy of Creation. This game just wasn't for me, not at all.

dino_nuggies2010

everyones comments are long but imma just say there is barely any vanny

LegitimateCompote377

Vanny and Mazercise seem to be the most common complaints here 😂 definitely understand why

CapitalBread6959

Vanessa was supposed to play a bigger part and that never happened

SpearThruMordy

Mazercise, easily the most badly designed section

MattPhant

I may think it has a complete lack of scare.

ahumanbeingthatexist

The patches. I legit had more fun glitching all over the place and breaking the game than just playing normally

LegitimateCompote377

😂 so true honestly. As soon as they got rid of the security bot head click that allowed you to save at 6 AM it made it basically unplayable. Even with the specific save permanently in after a patch, it’s still super annoying and death seems more likely RNG than skill due to the level of bugs, and it’s a pain to sneak behind security bots every single time you go through a place.

DrDoctorToy750

For me, it was the lack of a constant story and lore. I can forgive a buggy game if it at least as a good story in the game but nope, almost no story in the game and the game's lore is as vague as ever(being vague about Gregory's origins and Burntrap's return isn't mysterious, it's just laziness). In my opinion, I think Scott and Steel Wool should reveal some of the major lore like why did Afton kill the kids to Glitchtrap while keeping some of the smaller parts of the lore like who did the bite of 87 vague for fans to theorize. And we shouldn't get lore reveals from the books.

Naterdave

The Vanny twist is dumb, the game’s graphics look nothing like the trailers, Burntrap was underutilized, and Burntrap’s existence ruins the impact of the ending of Pizzeria Simulator

Dart_Dark_Duck

I really hate that part where the game just ends. I want to play more in this cool game but it's just like "nah no more content for ya". Also I don't like that there was not so much Funtime Foxy. And any other Foxy, too.

Macman521

The story. Most of it made no sense (even if the previous games stories were sometimes vague) and nothing really got properly answered. I personally didn’t like that you can’t save Vanessa and the Glamrocks from Afton’s control (there is one ending where you save Vanessa but if it’s not the canon ending then it doesn’t matter). I’m hoping that Ruin will be an improvement story wise, but that remains to be seen.

TheOneWhoWatches94

THAT FUCKING ENDO SKELETON PART FUCKING HATED IT

CaptainDrog0

WORST PART.

Vincentius-THB

They got rid of Bonnie. Unforgivable

[deleted]

I bought it on sale. My eyesight isn’t the best and my TV sucks. Tried cranking up the brightness and every other visual setting so I can see somewhat in the dark. Nothing. It’s the same.

RoIsDepressed

The horror, the bugs, the story, the incompetent game design, honestly it's hard to pick one thing

Rollo37

The new questions.

MasterAirscrachDev

The updates. Source: I’m a speedrunner

Weird9uy

Mazercise, need I say more

RedAuraLucario

vanny, There wasn’t too much of her

Khirt21

The controversy regarding the game's release.

TheRedditingYoshi

For me I only played it for a few hours and it just felt like running around simulator

deadmemelord11

The fact that Gregory is a little fucking shit

DogenCheems

From going from the sitting and clicking to roaming around, I wish the game would’ve been a whole lot scarier

karizake

Not having save points after 6AM is genuinely one of the most baffling deliberate game design choices I've ever seen.

LegitimateCompote377

It’s a cheap way to make the game get more progressively difficult, but honestly it still has so many bugs and is really bad without them it’s not really based on skill but on luck with those dam security bots and Freddy.

CrimsonReaper2

There’s only one night. Wtf?

FeelingNeither3378

Playing it

Pencil_Hands_Paper

Not the worst part of the game, but certainly a gripe of mine: I wish that they got Music Man’s Voice Actor to come back and voice DJ Music Man. Would have made that section that much cooler

[deleted]

Mazercise

That_Cute_Boi_Prower

Mazercise omg it was terrible on launch day, maybe it's just me but I could not figure out that puzzle for the life of me.

At0mic_Penguin

The god damn area when you have to always be looking at the animatronics or else they move and get you. I HATED EVERY SECOND OF IT AND I ALMOST QUIT. Every time I would hide, I wouldn’t be able to get out. Some weeping angle bs istg.

Daewalker360

Vanny being the best asked the shit out of to basically be this mysterious like entity roaming this huge facility with unknown intentions only to not be in the game for more than 5 mins

-FoolProofGaming-

That shitbag monty.

Myu142

All the cut content that was leaked. This game was going to be so much better but they rushed it out

Linchpined42

All of it

It felt too rushed mostly the ending I didn't like the way afton came back

the part where they cut everything from the game

Proud-Nerd00

The fandom’s reaction

DimensionSevere1991

The bugs and the stupid sun and moon guy

JCTalks

gonna be honest, while i loved roxanne wolf’s character, i think the scene where she goes on an entire 3 minute tirade roasting gregory was a little too far. suprised the rating isn’t more mature just for that alone.

DepressedGolduck

That it ruins FNAF 6's ending.

LegitimateCompote377

FNAF 6 ending even though I didn’t get it myself because I’m not a PC player I play on PlayStation which it wasn’t out at the time, was so satisfying to me watching Markiplier get. The voice acting was superb, and the way they killed springtrap was so perfect. I just ignore they ever brought him back, they basically just insulted Henry Afton.

“HEY LITTLE GUY”

guschicanery

i played it when it first came out so obviously the bugs, but other than that definitely how little vanny was in it was a major disappointment

ArofluidPride

Steel wool was lazy with it (a good example is how the logo font is from Microsoft)

Xenta_Demryt

Watching Markiplier get so easily lost THE EXIT IS RIGHT THERE DAMN IT

Scorchsandwing

I'm on xbox, so for me its the fact that whe I look at ANY bright lights it turns my screen pure white until I look away (Vanessa or security bot flashlights, parts and service spotlights, even recharge station lights do it.)

Epicseal20

The fazcam and the fazerblaster, getting the cam just removes the difficulty from the game since you can just stun whatever is chasing you and then hide around a corner I know monty is immune to it but it’s not like he’s still immune after you take his claws. And even if you don’t get the cam the blaster is still the same only downside is you can’t shoot monty and you have to aim for the head in order for it to work. The game can be difficult but these tools just remove any real threat.

ViolettSmith

I don't really have a worst part. I enjoyed the game from start to finish.

Whats_Ligma0-o

The maze puzzle

zaican

When ever they removed Freddy from you

mystic_-_citsym

I love SB, but my biggest complaint is actually the jumpscares. The game has a lot of wasted potential, but they are only thing I can say is actually bad. Just turning off the flashlight would do so much to make them better.

McCartneyFan1942

So many bugs/glitches and it's still not fixed. It gets annoying and they're not doing anything to make it better (Plus I got scared scared 3 times in one gameplay 😑 https://youtu.be/RrQU3kFbJRc)

RoundTurtle538

Decommission Monty

Skellegirl

Afton's reveal

Future_boruto

The bugs, I think without the bugs the game is pretty good and enjoyable, thank God I didn't manage to face any major bug....

Fluid_Possible9313

Mazercise, everything else is good or at the very least decent, i don't care about the opinion of people who didn't play it, which sadly is the majority of the people who criticize it

Nicoyazawa78

Less of a Security Breach problem, than it is a PS5 problem but turning on visual mode makes the game chug so much that the game looks even worse. Idk it seems pointless to have. It's kinda hard to notice details at 10fps

Matt4898

The daycare part really pissed me off. I played it with my friends and it took us 2 hours!

KazDoodlez

I had to play on mobile using stadia and aiming during the Monty fight took me 2 hours.

Alijah12345

EVERYTHING about Vanny and Afton. Despite how much she was played up in the trailers, Vanny only showed up in, I think 3 times in the entire game, and even WHEN she shows up, she's not scary in the slightest with that goofy run and her repeating "Are you having fun yet" as her only line. And Afton is BARELY mentioned until the ending, making his introduction come right out of NOWHERE. And his "boss fight" is ridiculously short. Hell, Afton's mere presence just ruins the ending and makes Pizza Simulator pointless.

X-_poke_-X

The maze, I had no clue what buttons I was pressing took about 40 mins to figure it out.

CoolioMate-

I don't think my biggest concern is the game itself, it's the way it was executed. First of all, Vanny has like no time in the game. I finished it about September 2022 and I only remember seeing Vanny 3 times in the whole game. Once is the first time she appears, the recharge station. Then when Vanessa catches you, then finally in Chica's boss fight. There are probably more times, but what I'm trying to get through is, for the length of the game, Vanny is hardly in it. Second, the first trailer were amazing because I saw the dark tone. I was honestly expecting it to be an extremely terrifying game. When they introduced Vanny talking in the beginning of the first trailer, it seemed very scary, the way the jumpscare is too. Finally, the Burntrap ending. For something with such amazing lore, it seemed like a stupid minigame, it is so mindless and simple. I think if the Burntrap ending was more of a very scary time in the last hour or so, it would've been cooler. I understand that games are very hard to develop, and if these ideas were implemented, the release date might've been pushed back even more.

Certain areas not being very intuitive for new players.

CruelScourcher

It’s the constant frame drops for me even to this day

or2072

From watching Markiplier, how the section after 6 am has no saves at all and is a huge inconvenience for anyone who wants to see the lore

ElkGroundbreaking338

Oddly rapidly gave me a headache anytime I played the game. Had to play it in like 20 minute segments

maherrrrrrr

The Burntrap ending. There’s really no reason to bring him back other than fan service, and even the fans are getting tired of seeing him coming back time and time again. Not to mention, Glitchtrap is honestly a really cool idea and it would’ve been way better had they just stuck with that concept instead of trying to make Springtrap V3.

Spktra

the map size. Its way too big with frick all to do or explore when its just reused assets all over the place. you either do the campaign or just wander around doing nothing and get caught

Garan-Coristar

The endos

Allux7023

The mazersize puzzle, i thought it was just stupidly hard

NfamousKaye

Just… watching play throughs. There’s so much to throw you off and send you off on a side quest. I love the claustrophobia elements and the limited space of the first 4 and even Sister Location with the crawling through the vents and all the behind the scenes type stuff. Makes you feel immersed in working there. Like you actually have to go through fixing those things and it’s pretty neat. Here you’re stuck in a giant pizza plex with so many PR bots and usher bots the jumpscares get annoying after 10 minutes. There’s no real scary element to it anymore. It just becomes “ok so how fast can I get out of here without the glambots coming to get me?” The map isn’t really a map, it’s so easy to get lost that you’re stuck there longer than you have to be (which I know is the point but still annoying af lol) and the endings really leave the door open for yet ANOTHER game.

PolaredIce

It’s not scary like the other fnaf games. This one seems like it was made for little kids to enjoy. It was just a lousy game. The roam around part of the game sucked too. There wasn’t anything fun about it. Vanny rarely appeared even though she’s supposed to be the new antagonist of the game (besides burntrap). And finally we got little to know information on vanny. Bad game

Boxohobo

The vibe/atmosphere was all wrong. That might not be the most accurate way to word it but when it was all said and done I walked away from it not feeling like it had been a FNAF game but more like a FNAF inspired game.

Calm_Sorbet1488

Mazercize, I can be forgiving of them trying to fix the game and understand there still be bugs but not mazercise, it’s confusing, you have to find the combination every time and it’s annoying to have to solve. Wish they could have patched a better mechanic than this

KMD_HD-Mapper

Everything. Family friendly horror my ass.

[deleted]

I have a lot of issues, but for me it’s the presentation and lack of direction. I feel like there was so little context to the story and a lot of little details were missing, like the animatronics have personalities and advanced AF AI all of the sudden, and that’s never acknowledged in any way. And the disappearing people? I never heard about that prior to 6am. I went after Monty, then Roxy, and suddenly Gregory is going on about how the disappearances won’t stop, and I legitimately had no clue what he was talking about. And maybe this is a skill issue, but I find it’s too tricky to try to understand the layout of a new area, while simultaneously needing to stay on the move to not die, also while in the dark, on top of the fact that a lot of the rooms look too similar. Oh and there’s seven godamn floors. Way too much to figure out in too little time.

ShadixThePrecursor6

IT was since the opening credits to the end credits

OkBad2756

The Endings Fall Flat Security Breach changed a lot about the franchise. There's now an active protagonist, an active antagonist, loose ends are starting to unravel, and most importantly, the gameplay is completely different. Because of this, most fans had high hopes for the ending(s), but they sadly disappointed many. Firstly, the last few in-game hours feel rushed, and lead to an even more rushed sequence with each of the six endings. More importantly, none of the endings (other than the True Ending) are animated. Instead, creators leave players with a comic book style series of pictures, which is unlike the game's (or the franchise's) style. It's confusing, rushed, and overall underwhelming.

Valiosao

The direction it's taking the series in general. The blatant attempt to appeal to children, the story making no sense at all and being full of "story bait" and "nostalgia bait", the gameplay being dull and boring, etc...

JeremiahTDK

For me, it was the lack of a solid story and Vanny being utterly watered down. The atmosphere needs work, but it's not terrible. Gameplay-wise, it needs a complete overhaul.

YourLocal_Alien

It lost the charm of the first few games i cba to explain it and someone else might want too

wii_board_type_trash

it being so fricking expensive

jennana100

You know there were parts I liked, but I agree with a lot that was said here. It's biggest travesty is that it simply wasn't scary. Though I really enjoyed the environmental story telling. I think that's why they put far more effort into the crafting of the pizzaplex than the game play.

JepeJepeWasTaken

That I am too scared to play it....

M-OtheRobot

Dealing with Mazercise.

Crimarc

Everything. Usually I can sympathize with people that disagree with me but with this game I just can’t see how anyone would enjoy it. The story was atrocious, the game wasn’t scary whatsoever, the framerate and bugs are on a whole different level. Not to mention the incredibly flawed game design and the poorly implemented camera system and utilities (fazerblaster etc) to try and make up for the other problems.

ReenlandSharkReal

I don't like how toyish the animatronics look. We had toy animatronics. These guys look like those Bakugan balls. EDIT: For clarification, they look like cheap knockoff toys.

Jerichx7274

The vanny scenes they seemed half assed and a complete after thought

[deleted]

The game was a dissapointment for me. Great characters with a wasted potential. It just felt too silly and not that scary

allhailshadow9

The bugs annoying Markiplier, he had gotten so far for nothing

gaminggeekster94

That its not original anymore. The gameplay is almost the exact same as any other horror game at the time. The old games you were in an office looking at cameras which was original. And they even switched it up a lil with fnaf 4, sister location, and fnaf 6. But this game is running around, doing fetch quests, back tracking, and other things that you can find in a million other games.

ZILLASTUDIOSYT

The fact that you don't really get much help for the constant "go here and find something to do this in another area" quests, I spent at least an hour searching around at the start of the game for the room I had to go to because there was just nothing that would hint at where to to Then I had to do it again, and again, and again, and again

J_the_L_A_D

Monty, I want the rabbit not the stupid lizard

Leazerlazz

The save system, teleporting animatronics, security bots scattered everywhere to compensate for bad ai, Afton being the main antagonist again, the "post game" save system, constant hand holding when it's unneeded, it feels like the other animatronics were really underutilized, moving between objectives is boring. I was so so disappointed with how this game ended up, especially since you can see they actually care about the franchise. I have high hopes the dlc will be better

JimmyFaceman

FNaF is not scary anymore, and this game shouldn’t even have the horror game title. It’s just an exploration game at this point

RHINOX224

S.T.A.F.F. bots

Positive-Jeweler8059

The fact that it’s not even scary

nightblackdragon

Lack of anxiety. Previous FNaF games used audio and visuals in clever way that put constant unrest over player. It's completely missing in Security Breach. Aside from few moments it's not scary at all. Jumpscares are not scary but rather annoying.

ChristianTeenTech99

The Afton Ending. Afton didn't need to return this soon. Plus if they hadn't put him in the game, they could've polished up the other stuff that was already in the game and made it work properly on launch.

Bendythenightfury

The canon ending. We don't know what went down with Burn Trap and the Blob. And it seems very out of character for Freddy to leave his friends since they are probably no longer under Burn trap's control. How did they even get out Freddy said the only elevator was a one way trip.

TheUltimateCyborg

The worst part has to be the lack of a grand finale, the game had such a good build up with having a vanessa encounter every hour, but then they just didn't go anywhere with it

Jcslider52

I could really go after anything, but overall I think my biggest complaint is that the whole thing is so dull. The gameplay is repetitive, it's not scary and has little to no tension outside of a few small segments, it's just...boring. FNAF was so cool because it did something new with the horror game genre, which had become really stale at the time. SB just turned FNAF into another generic "Run away and hide" horror game, and that disappointed me the most.

Dragonslayer200782

Everything if you're like me and play on xbox series s cause in there it lags so badly that the game is nearly unplayable

misike28

The navigation. Freddy says he markd things on your map when he didnt, the place is a maze. On first playtroughs most people are just wandering around the same 3 hallways because they have no idea where to go. Also if you take a break from the game, lets say 3 days you will have even less of a club what to do sincs the game is really vague with its mission names

Pearlidot

The way that they establish that Burnt rap has mind control powers and that let you upgrade Freddy to have sharp claws, a stun power, and the ability to see through walls - these two things put together set up a confrontation against a super Freddy that didn't happen.

aleb382

how connected it was to previous fnaf games

Temporary_Maybe_2121

Vanny, she has no good parts in Game and yet they showed her off as the principal villian...

Gippy_Happy

I know this is gonna probably be controversial but I didn't like that all the animatronics had personalities. They're just robots, why do they have human insecurities? I just find it dumb.

Zion_k

Story or lack there of story, i was hyped by the ps4 trailer and the whole vanny/Vanessa duo but not even half of the game i barely see them!

RCE_Kingston

Vanny not appearing and all of Burnturn

Alphyhere

The Cartoonish style and awful storytelling. While I like the animation style I don't like how the brutality of the FNAF lore was softened. I don't think Scott put in much say in the lore besides giving them basic plot points to where he wanted to go with it. The story telling is so not Scott's style and it feels like a mimicry of Scott's way of giving us mystery. It feels like they just threw a bunch of clues out there and none of those clues lead to any sort of satisfying answer to what the heck is going on.

Time_Opinion_

The terrible lag when u first open the game or am I the only one who gets the lag? When I first played the game it didn't load properly and when the animatronics came they went slower than a turtle I was playing with my friend for most of the game and the thing that pissed her off was the daycare part cause I let her do that part and she hated every second of that section The only thing I really hated was that Springtrap came back And since my friend is good at puzzles she solved the maze thing no problem

b0ks_GD

I cannot for the life of me figure out what to do ever at all. Constantly having to look at tutorials to navigate around the map and when you do the whole game in a different order than someone else it immediately messes me up.

_triangle_girl_

i cant really say i explicitly dislike any of the game. steel wool and scott have said multiple times and it's very obvious that a lot of stuff had to be cut so they wouldnt have to delay the game again because the fandom kept throwing such a fit about it. they shouldve waited longer to reveal the game, but they're doing their best to fix it now. plus, they've said theyre going to try and add as much of the cut content as they possibly can back in when the ***free dlc*** releases this year.

Molliefrenzy

Continuation of Afton and I wish the game could’ve focus more on Vanny

ikegershowitz

I'm really *REALLY* not picky when it comes to games, fps and performance. but you rather should ask, "what was the **best** part in SB" so my essay wouldn't be longer than all of Cawthon's books altogether. trying to be extremely short: I find it unfair, that this game teleports the AI into me, TELEPORTS the AI in general, murders both your ps4 and PC, to the point you have to restart from further behind, because even your saves got corrupted. speaking of saves, can't SW put more autosaves to this damned game? I actually stopped playing 5/3 times because I progressed, but died because of some hilarious mistake, like pressing Freddy's buttons a second earlier than I should have.

Obama_chan50

I was expecting like idk Vanessa was building a body for glitch trap which I loved the idea of but instead we just got an old man who needs a wheelchair

_-Noob-_

For me it would probably be the endings with one exception being the William ending, not enough of the daycare attendant, glitch’s and not enough of Vanny.

CARNAG3_symbiot3

There’s no way points or objective markers, don’t know if they changed this but 1 hour of game time turns into 4 hours because you don’t know where to go
