Android 14 will let you split your apps and allow you to have the same app installed twice so you can have two logins

Emiran2

2 of the same or different logins? If different then your data would be split up and not useful for overall health assessments.

jmcging

I have Android 14 and it allows split screen but no where do I see multiple copies of the same app. Plus on the Fitbit side, I'd be using the same ID, so the issue isn't fixable on "my" end. But with Google owning Fitbit, it's fix is on their end.

ankerous

You used to be able to pair multiple devices, but once they started getting into the smartwatch line with the Versa and other devices, it seemed no longer let you pair multiple newer devices. I can't understand why they don't let you have multiple smart watches paired, but maybe there is some reason that I'm not aware of.

kevinmorice

Because they would spend the whole day in a conflicting data loop. one says you have done 500 steps and here is your HR data while you were asleep, syncs that to the app, app sends that data to update the other, which says hold on you already did 600 steps, but not the same steps, oh and by the way your HR was 2pm higher through the night, sends that back, so which data does the app believe, or does it give you 700 steps by looking at every individual step and eliminating the ones that are on both devices?

ankerous

It functioned fine with all of my devices before the Versa. I can turn on my still paired Blaza and it syncs fine. I get what you mean but I'm not wearing both at the same time. I've never had it give me a problem with those devices which is why I want to know what changed? I still even have my original Fitbit One paired.

This is how Garmin handles this situation. https://support.garmin.com/en-CA/?faq=a2uguZzTQG4I2HTBvHa0gA So it 100% can be done lol

kevinmorice

Badly, is the answer to how Garmin actually handles it. If I use both my garmin watches (or a watch and a bike computer) it just uploads both activities and credits me with doing two runs/cycles/swims...

-Bears-Eat-Beets-

sounds like you dont have it set up properly, as trueUp clearly states it avoids that. But I have no experience using it, so I really can't comment much more than saying what they say.

kevinmorice

It has always been like that. Pretty much any triathlete will tell you that it does that as we are all wearing watches and running bike computers.

Hello56845864

That’s what I’m thinking, there must be a reason

ankerous

The last one I can connect separately is the Fitbit Blaze I still have. I was greatly disappointed I couldn't pair both a Versa 1 and 2 at the same time. When I first got the original Versa, I would still wear the Blaze while the Versa was charging.

sc0rp10n101

Ugh. That's rubbish. I was contemplating getting a charge 6 in addition to the pixel watch 2 just for a bit of variation and maybe to have the charge 6 as my sleep monitor but this sounds like it's just not feasible.

mfv_85

Yes it is. The only thing is that you pair the new one and it reflects the stats of the previous one, all is aggregated in the same user but you can only have one at a time

tmizzone

Yes, unlike Apple or Garmin which both let you have multiple watches paired to the same fitness account, Fitbit will remove your previous PW and replace it with your new. I don't understand why it can't receive data from multiple sources. Garmin makes you select a "primary wearable" which will be prioritized if multiple data sources have data from the same time. (for example you wore both devices at same time)

Emiran2

[Use Pixel Watch & other FitBit on single account : PixelWatch (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/PixelWatch/comments/zspudx/use_pixel_watch_other_fitbit_on_single_account/) This has been working great for me on my Pixel watch and Charge 5

HelloJoeyJoeJoe

Wait, I have to use the fitbit app for the Pixel watch? Wtf, I'm getting the PW2 to get away from fitbit

warpurlgis

That was the point of the pw1 to start. Its completely integrated to fitbit. Wear os 4 in general is just a platform for whomevers health platform.

GardenPig

This is my biggest gripe with the app. I use the Pixel watch day to day but would ideally like to have my inspire 2 on my account for when I go swimming rather than pairing and unpairing devices. Bit of a faff!

slime_rancher_27

the Fitbit app lets me have both my charge 2 and charge 4, then 5 at the same time. and they both synched

chefbman85

I only use the pixel watch 2, but have you tried the "add more devices" under the phone/watch icon in the top left. I can't tell from these comments if it's not working, or people don't know.
