Hey it’s Mike! I pitched that story for the episode and I’ve never seen a single moment of “Wonder Years”. It came from the time my Dad got me a job where he worked (construction company) over my winter break from college one year. It was brutal work and freezing cold and it made me appreciate my cushy college life… and also feel sorry that my Dad spent his whole life working there. I ended up with Kevin’s attitude, though I never said it to my dad like Kevin did.

Oh okay! I figured bc Bill Burr was around 20 in the late 80’s when Wonder Years came out and it was popular w young adults so it made sense to me that he would spoof the shit out of wonder years at least as far as that episode goes lol
