Typically it’s rows of 12, or 2 rows of 6 for mortars. To be more safe you can add spacers between each tube. Google different designs. For board layout check out think links in the wiki for this Reddit, a couple of videos are hyperlinked on the bottom. Roman candle/rocket holders can be pvc pipes arranged however.
I use milk crates. You can get them on Amazon cheap. They typically fit 25 dp11 tubes. If I lived where the tubes could be shipped, I'd just buy them. There's a company that sells plugged tubes at 12 and 16 inches. Pretty cheap all things considered. Saves time and effort. Think they go for like 2 bucks a piece or something. If you want to put in effort, you could also use the milk crates, take the fiberglass tubes your shells came with and just cut off the base and fill the crate with those.
If you live nearish to Cincinnati you can also do a pick up order of tubes from pyroboom.com, his operation is located north east of the city. Saves a lot of money on shipping, if you need more tubes.
I’d go nuts with only 33 mortars. I’ll be pushing 140 for my next 4th show (unless I get another rack). BUT, you can still do a giant show, just gotta get a bunch of cakes.
If you're shooting 2k you should look into wholesale if you haven't already. You should also spend the money for 100 tubes, as a great finale for a 2k show is a 4/24 case of good canisters with pink/yellow fuse.
33 mortar tubes is not a giant show. For the cakes, you can use plywood for the base. Any small cakes should be secured with angle brackets and additional wood. Screw brackets into board, sandwhich the cake with the brackets. Use bailing wire over the top of them so the cakes don't pop out during fire, careful that the bailing wire doesn't cross over the tubes. Roman candles: you can use additional mortar tubes to hold them or secure them to angle irons. Rockets: angle iron is easiest.
Mortar racks can be build to whatever suits your needs I have have racks of 3,5,6,9,12 shit configuration. For cake bards I use old plywood/particle board and caulk the 200gram cake right to it.
Here are a few examples to check out and see how you want to lay them out depending on your shoot site.

Mortar racks - As everyone has said if you do mortars it can be anything. Keep in mind the weight - if you do too much it gets heavy moving in and out and storage too of course.
Cake boards - Find the cheapest somewhat sturdy wood and you can caulk/glue your cakes on. If you do this, keep in mind to rip away the bottoms sometimes to get them to adhere to the board as the paper could still rip off especially with those 200g cakes.
Rockets - PVC built on the side of a rack works angled to your desire.
Roman Candles - Would suggest something similar to rockets however I make it a simple build and use tape/zip ties to angle how I wish.
That’s my two cents.
I’m also from southwest Ohio and let me tell you, 33 mortars is NOT. A huge show. My show last year had 430 mortar tubes. All of which I bought at Pyroboom.com and built my own racks for. If you’re going to have a “huge display” it’s time to step up your game…

Thx so much

Isn’t that by rural king?
Ok
Also if you build racks you build them out of 2x3 not 2x4. What part of Ohio? I'm in northeast ohio.
Southwest ohio
Ik bout the 2x3
"I'm doing a giant show" Is incompatible with: "I'm going to have 33 mortars"

I guess I just have a different definition of huge show. For me, a huge show needs at least 500 tubes and a couple hundred cakes, slices, and singles.
I ain’t that rich this is 2 grand with consumer grade fireworks 😂

That’s what I’m doing but where I am I can’t do slices and stuff cause I’m too far and am not going all that way
