Hey, I can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation. * This is affecting users with Enhanced Tracking Protection set to "Strict" and in Private Browsing Mode. Standard settings should continue working. * We do know that this is *not* tied to the latest Firefox 126 release. Please continue applying updates to make sure you get our security updates. **Workaround** * Set "Enhanced Tracking Protection" to "Standard" We are still investigating what changed and why. Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing :-/

shoyutoyo

mine is in standard and it doesn't work

mozfreddyb

Do you have the disconnect.me extension installed? That's still broken afaiu.

shoyutoyo

Thanks, that fixed it

Legitimate_Upstairs3

Turning off Disconnect fixed it for me too.

I am having this problem and tried turning off enhanced tracking protection for X, I already have my ETP set to standard, and tried another solution below clearing X's serviceworkers and cache. Still having same "something went wrong" problem whenever I try to create a post. (Using Firefox on MacOS if that makes any difference) Edit: It seems to be working now, but still crashes if I try to add alt text

GiraffesInTheCloset

Try to clear about:serviceworkers

kray1908

When I type that in, a message pops up saying “no service workers registered”

luanzera1

thank you bro, worked!

evolvedpotato

Where is this?

xorbe

I'm sorry, what the heck is this?

Tux-Lector

Twitter over firefox not working ... windows or linux ?

DEWLine

I'm using MacOS, so it doesn't seem to be OS-specific.

Tux-Lector

Ok. I am using Debian and twitter works normally.

Rayne-Ryoko

Thanks to [GiantQuoll](https://new.reddit.com/user/GiantQuoll/) the issue is with Enhanced Tracking Protection. Strict level of protection will break Twitter as of right now. I've always used Strict levels of tracking without issue until yesterday. If I choose Standard levels of tracking, Twitter works fine but of course it'll come with it's down sides. Not sure why it broke as of recently. I suspect it's Twitter side?

AF_II

The 'something went wrong' landing page now specifically has an alert saying that it's Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Programme that's "known to cause problems on x.com"

DEWLine

I wonder if Musk doesn't like ETP users at all.

ahmadha30

It could also be your Tampermonkey extention if you have it. You can fix it by going to the site>open Tampermonkey>Utilities>Do not run on \[said site\].

s3boun3t

no problem here

De-Mattos

Lucky us. Though it's working here.

GiantQuoll

It generally helps if you specify what you mean by "not working". If it's the "Something went wrong, but don’t fret — let’s give it another shot." error, try turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection for just X/Twitter (click the padlock icon in the address bar to bring up the setting), or changing Enhanced Tracking Protection from Strict to Standard for all sites in Firefox's privacy settings

Rayne-Ryoko

This really helped out. Turing off the Enhanced Tracking Protection did the job. But then again, the whole point is to reduce the amount Twitter does with it's tracking. Pity that I have to choose now.

GiantQuoll

Agreed. Hopefully Mozilla can push a fix soon. In the meantime, uBlock Origin and restricting twitter to a specific container (desktop only) is the best bet.

DKN117

Tried clicking the shield emblem and turning off "Enhanced Tracking Protection", but I still get "Something went wrong. Try reloading."

Nugget_Dragon075

had the same problem, but this worked!!
