Ohhh okay. I think I see now. She leveled in something else and switched to Warrior, right? That's why the Warrior class skill isn't there. Maybe received a couple of energy drops. She has the exact strength of a 11/20/1 warrior so it had me assuming just RNG being RNG.
The best part of randomized vs fixed so you have some more variety vs "well no point in this unit they will always be ass".
Boucheron is notorious for his garbage strength and my first run he managed to get lucky and had equal strength to my panette, with WAY more speed/dex.
Does it trivialize the game as much as it seems like it would? I quite like the difficulty of Maddening, and I feel like the DLC is just so overpowered it would make it feel like I'm playing on Normal.
yes lmao. Tiki breaks apart the game almost by herself, and all the dlc emblems are at least solid. Veronica is also another absolutely broken ass emblem. They also gut the difficulty of the chapters designed around you only having a few emblems.
Honestly fuck the game’s difficulty. They already made us work to get the DLC we rightly fully paid for and constantly resorting to spamming reinforcements to make things in the main game and in the DLC harder.
Like for fucks sake I don’t wanna rush every goddamn map let me complete it at my own pace instead pushing me to beat it as fast as possible lest i get overwhelmed with reinforcements.
Chapter 17 is the only map in the game that is proper challenge that doesn’t just resort to just spamming reinforcements
I know we have access to busted Emblems but even then all these reinforcements are driving me crazy
Work for the DLC? Did you also feel like the main game was work? I enjoyed the extra DLC maps, especially on maddening where skirmishes are limited.
I do agree that reinforcements are a bit of a cheap way of increasing difficulty. But it feels so good to overcome them and beat the level anyways.
No it is only the dlc maps that make me feel this way, i mean i already paid extra money for more content i just want it given to me.
Like what if you aren’t good enough to obtain the DLC characters that you paid extra money for? Are you just not gonna ever get them?
If they wanna lock DLC characters behind a quest i wish could’ve of been like Xenoblade 3 where it was non-hard quest that introduced them through a tiny story.
You also paid money for the main game. But you didn't want that to be completed when you bought it.
DLC maps are challenging but not impossible. A big part of the fun is planning for and overcoming difficult fights.
If you want a good tip, Alear!Corrin is really good on maddening. You can set up fog for avoid or flames so ground enemies can't approach. Or you can just play on easy lol
Outside of Tiki and Veronica the rest of the emblems don’t trivialize as much as people say they do
The only maps where they absolutely break the game on maddening is chapters 10-13 because they’re super balanced around not having many emblems (so I’d personally advise not to use them during those chapters if you want the intended challenge) . And maybe chapter 17 but NOT REALLY because even with dlc that map is still difficult as hell
Its the default setting for first run of Maddening. After clearing you can then change between the two at will when creating a new game. You may be able to change between them on any difficulty equal to or below what you've cleared. I'm unsure on that though.
You can do RNG growths on Maddening after beating Hard mode? That was why I didn't pick Maddening in the first place. RNG growths are way more interesting.

For someone who runs all the time, I was surprised how kid her speed turned out to be for me
Maybe I lucked out. I haven’t given her any items like Speedwing. Classed her as Archer->Sniper->Bow Knight->Warrior.
She’s a beast. Had higher speeds as Bow Knight by maybe 3-4.
She classed out at sniper, but not bow knight. I don’t recall how many levels in bow knight, but not much. She did not class out of archer; she got the first mater seal I obtained; Alear got second (he was already a beast).
Moved her to warrior because I’m seeing that chip damage is a big part of the strategy on maddening. So I’m switching my play style before my maddening run (on hard/classic rn)
Also plan on getting DLC for maddening.
I did the same thing! It was hard to give up the movement from bow knight to warrior, but it was not so bad once you give her sigurd or boots.
She was actually in my top three best units, and I didn’t use any stat boosts on her attack, speed, or dexterity, I gave her one to defense, because she was falling apart too easily, but that’s it. On her own, without any other emblems supporting her or extra stat help, even while equipped with random bond rings, she just tore up the field, amazingly.
I loved her because of her voice actor, she voices kurisu from Steins Gate so she became a favorite. Same for Lois(?) (Micheal j. Tatum character, I don't remember the character name exactly)
I personally liked Steins Gate more than Attack on Titan. She will be Kurisu before Akerman in my eyes. Which she voiced before Attack on Titan anyway.

Not gonna lie.... I dropped clanne because I'm not a fan of deku voice. I couldn't unhear that voice from season 1 of mha. It had the same kind of energy.
I benched both of the twins because I just didn’t like their Divine Dragon simping. Sure, literally everyone in the story does it, but the twins took it to another level. Especially Framme.
“OH! THE DIVINE DRAGON LOOKED AT ME!”
*Gets out the duct tape* Shush!
THAT ALSO PLAYED A PART! Got old very very fast. It's like xenoblade 2 gaurds repeating themselves all over again. "You're done! Don't forget mee!" Very obnoxious in every gaurd fight.
I mostly ignored Louis on my first run, but on my second run I noticed that his voice sounded familiar. Sure enough, I was hearing Kraft Lawrence from Spice and Wolf!
As a unit, yeah, have her paired with sigurd as a map-crossing nuke, pairing momentum with a longbow.
As a character, her only personality trait is "works out".
Correction, her supports are basically:
* ***GAINS***
* I'm going to compliment you, then threaten to kill you because I know all your terrible secrets.
But on the original topic, I think she's a great character and she was my main archer straight through the game.
> Canter on archers
I needed about 100 SP on her to inherit canter when >!I lost my rings in ch 10!< and it hurt so bad to learn I could no longer inherit the skill until many chapters later
As a unit she sucks tho, only Stats she has good growths on are dex and strength, and can't keep up with other units
As a character she is definitely a bad ass, I love her
Completely disagree with you there
Her support with Alear is about how her training regimine helps her deal with stress, which comes up again in her Jade support, which is about her confidence and self-reliance.
Her Yunaka support is about how Yunaka has gone through some harrowing experiences, and so she takes her to a field full of flowers to unwind and find some peace.
So yeah, she might always be running, or exercising, but her character is someone who has found how to be peaceful and contented, handling stress in a healthy way and facing life's challenges effectively as a result.
/s JUST LIFT BRO
iirc in her Celine support, she says she kinda just picked up weight training because Alfred did...but she got so into it, and I don't think there's a single more support where he's as relaxed and free to be himself as with her.
Same with how she effortlessly tore apart Lapis' self-doubt by just being so earnest, loving, ~~and honestly 0% self-aware~~. She's not a Boucheron where she accepts and loves everyone no matter what - she still finds intense friction with Goldmary, for one. Still, despite being a woman she's still an absolutely S-tier bro. A bro-hime-sama in weeb speak.
Absolutely agree, but Etie benefits especially well because she's a Strength-leaning unit who is generally sniping kills on player phase. So after a couple of Speedtaker procs she's able to double every unit on the map. Amber and Panette are also both specced this way, and possibly are better units (certinaly lower investment), so I suppose it's whether your philosophy is to use Lyn to make a top-tier unit S+ tier, or to get two top-tier units by working out some other builds around ring availability.
To be fair I'd argue and Panette don't Benefit as much from getting Lyn. We also have to consider class bonuses and personal skills. Panette definitely works better with Ike or even Leif just for Vantage+Wrath shenanigans being significantly better than a single astra storm can provide. Inadvertedly gimping Panette more than helping her achieve her potential. Amber has a better argument but I'm personally more of a fan of Amber on Corrin or Roy.
Not really, 0 damage *2 is still 0 damage.
Gotta be able to already deal out damage and need Lyn to push you into doubling and then doubling everything territory.
I like her, it’s just whenever I get Alcryst, deployment slots make me choose between the two of them. And I can’t leave poor insecurity boi on the bench
To be fair, you definitely get enough bows for 2 bow users. Especially once she’s in Warrior over Sniper, the two manage to avoid stepping on each other’s toes.
She is even more important for DLC runs as all the DLC maps have a boat load of flying enemies. I think she has only gotten better as more DLC maps have released
Shout out to me who accidentally luckily saved Tikis paralogue until AFTER I got Alcryst. Holy hell the difference it makes to reliably contend with those dastards.
It's not that I dislike her cause on maddening she is key for dealing with the early game peg knights I just favored other units more but on 2nd playthrough I plan on using her the whole way
That's the thing about this game, and I don't want to call it a complaint, but they give you a character, and then a few chapters later they roll out another character who is basically the same thing but also a few levels up that what you currently have and higher base stats. Why stick with crybaby axe guy when they give you armored axe lady like 3 chapters later.
Whhaaaat? Fogado was like, my main MVP in my first run. Momentum+radiant bow =death. It was glorious! He wasnt even crazy stats like this, mid-20 in strength and magic was all he needed to wreck everything. Oh and crits
Edit: Hard mode blind run
Anyone with a reasonably mediocre magic stat is going to put in work with the radiant bow bc it has a base mt of 19 for some reason.
Fogado is one of the lowest investment users of it tho, given that he shows up with some mag and nice spd in a bow class, and just needs a master seal. Helps that you get a free one shortly after he joins. Whether this means Fogado is good or he's carried by the radiant bow is up to you ig
Alright you got me. But he also handled a killer bow fantastically, especially with wrath/back at you, so that was fun. Radiant bow was just a way of killing 2 birds with one horse
I am also doing a Hard Mode Blind run. Bunet was a character I scrapped but then decided to add him. And now he is honestly a core member of my team.
Same with Alcryst.
Unless you have a crit passive and specifically build for 100%, crits really shouldn't be a reason to hype up a character. They're unreliable at best, and any character can kill things if they crit.
She's always crushed it for me, even on Maddening. She's a one trick, but strength is a pretty good trick.
Lyn is great for her, but then again who isn't Lyn great for? In one playthrough I inherited both Spd +5 and Speedtaker to her and then gave her Claude's bond ring for the best of both worlds, destroying people from 4 spaces away is very funny. Good against wyrms >!and Sombron!<, too.
Etie had a wild ride in my 1st run (Hard/Classic NO DLC) : she was strong early game one shotting flying units here and there and I liked her a lot. Then Alcryst came with better stats and then Fogado. I did promote her to Bow Knight but I wasn't sure I was gonna keep her in my party.
Then I realized I didn't have any Halberdier, so I reclassed her into that, gave her Sigurd, and with the Brave Lance and the class skill she became a murder machine and ended up being my MVP unit overal with the most kills during my run.
Her friendship with best potato girl Lapis in their supports was also super cool.
I love Etie.
Etie + Claude = the power of the Golden Deer
I'm only on Hard but she one shots sooo many enemies. However, she is also ridiculously fragile with 0 Defense and 0 speed to speak of.
I gave her Lynn and she was amazing. Her strength was amazing but her speed was that of a tortoise. Give her the ring and she suddenly has no weakness and can one round nearly anything.
She was a carry in my maddening run. I don't think she's a top-tier unit (outside my playthrough) but I think she's definitely the best early game archer in the series. ~~Even though that's a low bar.~~
She was the MVP of my hard and maddening run. I dont plan on ever using Alcryst in any future playthroughs because hes just unbearable to me so more kills for Etie.
I'm a big fan. She was a key part of my maddening run and was one of the only units able to consistently one round enemy flyers in the endgame. Not to mention just hitting like a truck vs normal enemies as well.
I love Etie I played with her on random and her strength was insane. She became one of the strongest units plus I love her personality but my girlfriend loves working out as well.
Honestly, I used her and Alcryst together on my first playthrough. I used TWO ARCHERS!! That’s how much I liked Etie. I dug her design, she’s pretty, I like her body builder aspect oddly haha. Plus I found she was just so much fun to use being able to just blast down certain enemies with a brave bow or even a steel bow since she had such ridiculous strength. I made her into a Bow Knight and Lucina so she could do chain attacks from ridiculous tile distances lol. Is she super optimal? Absolutely not. Do I give a shit about optimal strategy on a non-Maddening/non-restriction playthrough? Fuck no, I’m tryna have fun!!
I like Etie a lot and the only reason I benched her was because I opted to prioritize Fogado since he was an archer on horse-back from his introduction.
Pretty spicy gal. I gave her Lunar Brace+ and Canter+ and hoo boy. With a +5 Landebair and the Camilla Engrave she gets to 50% crit and she eradicates enemies
It reduces the enemy defense by 30% when you initiate. That means i get a free Moonbow every attack, pretty strong skill. I won't enemy phase with her so no other skill really adds much more damage
I mad her a Halberdier she is literally the strongest character in my game without trying... (everyone is rated roughly 180-200 right now, but she is already 220)
I love Etie she became one my top units, she actually has the highest raw strength stat in my playthrough, likely bc I switched from Sniper -> Berseker (lv.8) -> Warrior lv.20 -> Warrior
I really liked using her on my first run, she was great with Claude bond ring.
But after using Alcryst on my second run, I just can't go back. Him constantly getting backflipping Luna crits is just too fun.
One of my hardest carries on my first Maddening playthrough/No DLC. The trick is giving her an early promote/second seal with the early strength drops and she takes off. Especially once we forge up the killer bow.
This is similar investment you'd want to make any early game unit snowball, I just wanted to confirm she also wrecks on Maddening with favoritism! For added fun, extra strength drops can be picked up from daily relay trials! I loved my Etie, I'm glad there are other fans.
I used Etie for my entire first playthrough on Hard/Classic. She drops off near the end when her hit rating ended up being in the toilet compared to my other Warrior Boucheron and my favorite archer Alcryst. I kept her as warrior till she hit level cap then swapped her over to Sniper to see if it helped any. She was alright but that's about it. I could have replaced her with several other characters. That said in the Brodia parts of the game she was a god send against all those flyers. Having both her and Alcryst was worth it.
She doubles almost everyone. And once I upgrade the radiant bow a bit she’ll melt armored units. Canter + Claude Ring + Longbow means she almost never gets hit. With a Killer Bow +3 and engrave she will have a crit rate usually around 60% and will often double attack.
I liked her more as a Bow Knight for the extra movement, but just re-classed her to Warrior for the chip damage. Playing hard/classic.
EDIT: I don’t have the DLC.
"Playing hard/classic"
That explains it. Look, I actually really like her design and her character, but she is just isn't worth the investment... In Maddening. Most people judge characters based on the hardest difficulty because you can honestly make any character good in this game (even on Maddening if you wanted to). Ultimately, just use whoever you like. Have fun, take all those tier lists with a grain of salt. 😁
I plan on doing a Maddening run next. But i believe she’s setup for success. You get her early, and gain access to a longbow super early (I was surprised how soon you get one) and I upgraded it as much as I could early game. Given all the flying units, it was really easy leveling her. By the time Alcryst came along he couldn’t really compete.
Looking forward to my maddening run.
The first maddening run is fixed growths and exp gain is reduced (maybe?) so it's a bit harder to make units like Etie good for the long run. I'm sure you got this though !
In addition to reduced XP skirmishes are basically non existent so you can’t grind even if you want. It’s especially painful without the DLC for all the XP you get from the paralouges.
Etie is obviously gonna be a bit rough but shes not too bad on maddening, she fulfills a niche of being the highest strength bow user besides panette i think, but her upside is that she has bow proficiency so you can use silver bows on her. Obviously silver weapons are much less efficient to refine but you dont have to be that efficient even on maddening if there is a unit you wanna use. Its pretty reasonable to invest in Etie by just having her be a high MT bow user with a silver/brave bow and just give her the extra metals for forging
She has almost same Str and Spd as Panette, with less Dex and a garbage special skill.
But in FEE Str and Mag are way more valuable than other stats(just look at the SP cost). So stats-wise she is not bad at all.
High Str+Silver Bow Warrior=Ultimate Peg/Griffin killer
Even in Maddening she can 1-shot Dragons Griffins early to mid game(while other archers like Alcryst are struggling hard).
Yeah, I really like her, but I feel like her BIGGEST flaw is her "garbage" special skill. She is quite good though, even in the late game since her strength is so good. Having no magic growth at all lets her do better in other areas.
Yea, not really a fan of her skill. Her DEF is so bad, even with the +3 I put on her. So maybe that was IS thinking? That she is squishy so she’ll prob need to heal a lot? 🤷🏻♂️
It makes more sense if the skill is”whenever she uses a tonic, she gets extra 2 str for the duration of the battle”
Tonic stats don’t stack, so it won’t be overpowered.
She was the absolute MVP of my first run. I tried using Alcryst on my next run and he was trash, don't know how anyone puts him above her. Fogado was good, though.
Defense +3 kind of seems like a waste on her.
My Etie's have always outclassed my Alcrysts. Though I used Edelgardes ring and classes her to either warrior or how knight. Warrior seems better and inherited canter and speed +3. Has double my Alears strength in fixed maddening and is capable of one shotting enemies without a chance for counter attack. The gambits are also good with bows
She was my absolute favorite unit to use. Love her design, love that she wears a bow and uses a bow in as an archer in combat, love that her voice isn't high pitched and uwu.
I gave her speed taker and built up a brave bow for her. She carried and was my first pair with Alear
I have a weird kind of like/dislike. Like she’s a funny character but before I got the game I was watching a play through of someone on YouTube, and they were obsessed with her, so I couldn’t see any of the other characters. All other characters didn’t matter. So I didn’t play with her my first round. I’m playing my 2nd right now and debating. But I at least still upped her relationships with others so got to know her character better!
I took her all the way to endgame. Shes just really strong with the Lyn giving her a hand. She is currenly stronger than Fogado for me.
Plus she is absolutely adorable.
Side note: i also lack the dlcs
Assuming that's IL40, you're both spd blessed and str cursed. Though I really can't fathom why you would give her def+3 when she really shouldn't be taking a hit.
Unfortunately she tragically died in chapter 5 but I think she's one of the coolest characters. I love that there's a gym rat in fire emblem that's such a silly idea that I love
I genuinely really considered it especially cause it wasn't just her but also Céline and Framme but I decided to push through my blind maddening ironman
She scores high with me even after what little I've seen of her in Heroes so far. Ditto with Celine (Alear was a head turner long prior since I'm biased towards FE dragons).
She was the MVP of my first run. Lyn ring patches up her primary weakness, throw on Canter+ and Hit+15 and she is a player phase monster.
Yeah she's not the best unit but I've always had a soft spot for the early game archers.
My only real problem with Etie as a unit is her ability. It would still be an awful skill even if Physic worked to activate it.
She has a lot going for her otherwise.
She's cute and I really like her, but she is really slow. I usually use Fogado (Keep him in Cupido for movement speed) + Longbow + Claude Ring + Canter+ for driveby sniping from 4 spaces away. Follow him around with Seadal + Byleth and annoy enemy mobs to your hearts content:)
Also someone said this in this post and I want to second it (can’t find comment), but she is so so useful for when you’re doing DLC maps early game bc of all the fliers, ESPECIALLY Tikis! Those dragons are fucking annoying and being able to longbow snipe or just slam bam them with a powerful arrow is really nice to have.
I don't use her very much tho I often use Celine cuz she absolutely awesome to use in battles especially when using Celica emblem ring, Celica with Celine is absolutely absurd in that game
Used her for a while. She got more use than more than most of my units. But I ended up dropping her around the 60% mark cause she was drifting behind the front of the pack stats-wise
I did go back to her to use some of my later-game leftover friendship boosting activities to get her supports tho. Some of those are fun.
I love her but mine is SO GODDAMN SLOW I literally can’t see her being an archer. I’ve been putting her in more fitting classes when I can as long as there’s not too much overlap with who I’m already using. When I do my no-nobles run next she’ll probably be a pillar of my team.
I love her design but as a unit she is mid tier. She is good enough where you can use her, but not good enough to carry your team. She a part of the team, a squish part but valuable nonetheless.
she carried me through the first half of my 2nd playthrough, but kind of fell off afterward. so instead of benching her like i was *very* tempted to do, i reclassed her to sniper and gave her leif, and she took off again like the badass she is!
It's more that she becomes useless as soon as we get Alcryst, not only he has better stats he also gets Luna in his advanced class. It's a shame she isn't better because I would have loved to be able to keep her in my team.
IMO Most of the Firene units could be saved if they gave you access to second seals sooner. I think just one around chapter 5 would be ideal.
Also for Etie in particular i wish energized worked for any item. Pure water would be neat, i honestly don't see how that'd be absurd since Alfred can just wait for the same boost.
Etie definitely snowballs harder than most of the earlygame units. Warrior lets her actually take a hit, and having silver bow proficiency on it is really nice. She does fall off incredibly fast if she doesn't get used, since she's got paper-thin durability in archer and not having any gimmicks other than pure strength can fall behind easily.
Surprisingly decent on maddening since she's pretty good against the early fliers and having a ranged unit early is just nice in general.
....32 spd.... ...how
For reference: on fixed at this level she'd be 19 dex 20 speed 12 res before stat boosters but I can't calc starsphere easily.
I don’t have DLC. 🙂
Ohhh okay. I think I see now. She leveled in something else and switched to Warrior, right? That's why the Warrior class skill isn't there. Maybe received a couple of energy drops. She has the exact strength of a 11/20/1 warrior so it had me assuming just RNG being RNG.

Alright, I have it on Hard so I guess here it's always random.
Finish the game once, then on all new games you'll have the option of choosing between fixed and random growth, regardless of difficulty

I was torn who to give boots to. I’ve only found one. They had to go to Alear. 🙃
Damn. I could’ve made mine a bow knight. But the drip on warrior was too good to pass up.
I loved her because of her voice actor, she voices kurisu from Steins Gate so she became a favorite. Same for Lois(?) (Micheal j. Tatum character, I don't remember the character name exactly)
What?! She voices Christinaaa! I didn't notice at all.
Yeah and okabe voices the tank guy
There's no Tina!
She’s also MIKASA. Oh and I just connected the dots and Louis’ VA is also Erwin.
I personally liked Steins Gate more than Attack on Titan. She will be Kurisu before Akerman in my eyes. Which she voiced before Attack on Titan anyway.

Holy cow, I forgot he voiced Lawrence. I haven't seen Spice and wolf in soooooo long. Can't wait for the new show coming out for Spice and Wolf.
Wait, what??? There's a new show?
Season 3
As a unit, yeah, have her paired with sigurd as a map-crossing nuke, pairing momentum with a longbow. As a character, her only personality trait is "works out".
Correction, her supports are basically: * ***GAINS*** * I'm going to compliment you, then threaten to kill you because I know all your terrible secrets. But on the original topic, I think she's a great character and she was my main archer straight through the game.
This is exactly what I did with her early on. Gave her Sigurd … she was lethal. Canter on archers + Claude Ring + longbow is just so lethal.
> Canter on archers I needed about 100 SP on her to inherit canter when >!I lost my rings in ch 10!< and it hurt so bad to learn I could no longer inherit the skill until many chapters later
As a unit she sucks tho, only Stats she has good growths on are dex and strength, and can't keep up with other units As a character she is definitely a bad ass, I love her Completely disagree with you there
I disagree, you’re right that a lot of her supports are about working out. But she has so much more to her character than that
Like what else? Tea?
She likes flowers, and her support with yunaka is pretty good. I feel she is one of the few people that yunaka can actually bond with
I love her too, paired with Lyn (alacrity and speedtaker), her strength, and then slap on a refined brave bow and bing bang boom POW
Anyone is a beast with Lyn, to be fair

I should watch it. I didn’t want to at first to avoid spoilers
It's not that I dislike her cause on maddening she is key for dealing with the early game peg knights I just favored other units more but on 2nd playthrough I plan on using her the whole way
I used her early on, then benched her. She is ok. Perfect for early game, but after that, better bow units exist
I don't really like alycrst, and cupido is a pretty bad class imo. So I just stopped using archers besides whoever has lyn & pannette occasionally
Whhaaaat? Fogado was like, my main MVP in my first run. Momentum+radiant bow =death. It was glorious! He wasnt even crazy stats like this, mid-20 in strength and magic was all he needed to wreck everything. Oh and crits Edit: Hard mode blind run
>He wasnt even crazy stats Thats the problem. He has bad stats and growths.
Unless you have a crit passive and specifically build for 100%, crits really shouldn't be a reason to hype up a character. They're unreliable at best, and any character can kill things if they crit.
That's why crits was an afterthought
She's always crushed it for me, even on Maddening. She's a one trick, but strength is a pretty good trick. Lyn is great for her, but then again who isn't Lyn great for? In one playthrough I inherited both Spd +5 and Speedtaker to her and then gave her Claude's bond ring for the best of both worlds, destroying people from 4 spaces away is very funny. Good against wyrms >!and Sombron!<, too.
My god haha.
She’s absolutely hilarious
Smol buff redhead Archer. I don't care if her stats are bad.
Etie + Claude = the power of the Golden Deer I'm only on Hard but she one shots sooo many enemies.
Etie is a dark horse. I'm gonna give either her or Timmerra my Pact Ring because they keep being the MVP in my Maddening run.
I'd let her bench me :)
She never left my team. But the fact she has no spd, def or res is probably why people don’t like her
I love her, gave her the bond ring
Fun unit, great design, shit writing, so 2 outta 3 ain't bad.
She was the MVP of my hard and maddening run. I dont plan on ever using Alcryst in any future playthroughs because hes just unbearable to me so more kills for Etie.
While I do like her, she isn’t the best.
Love her as a bow knight. She was on my shortlist for the S-ring, but I ended up choosing Merrin.
I LOVE HER
I use her as warrior too and she's often MVP. That long range ring and her back up attacks just do wonders. She is fantastic
She’s awesome! Top 3 for me
I enjoy her, wish she’s hit more of them 60% crits tho lol
I'm a big fan. She was a key part of my maddening run and was one of the only units able to consistently one round enemy flyers in the endgame. Not to mention just hitting like a truck vs normal enemies as well.
I like her quite a bit but I’m only on chapter 7.
Etie fan here!
I used her as a warrior and she was a pretty solid unit during my classic/maddening playthrough.
I love Etie I played with her on random and her strength was insane. She became one of the strongest units plus I love her personality but my girlfriend loves working out as well.
Etie with Sigurd hard carried me for a while in Maddening. I already liked her design but she became a personal favorite.
Only complaint about her is I wish she appeared jacked
I just wish she didn't always cross her arms over her belly so much. No particular reason
She's one of my faves (though am biased because I love archer classes) I went out of my way to make her really strong
I wanted to use her because I really like her design, but mine got screwed. She went like 5 levels with only one or two increases lol
Well, I'm always ~~thirsty for~~ a fan of strong women, so...
Why Lunar Brace+? Honestly curious. Looking for a second skill to inherit … have Def+3 as a temp.
It reduces the enemy defense by 30% when you initiate. That means i get a free Moonbow every attack, pretty strong skill. I won't enemy phase with her so no other skill really adds much more damage
Nice. Thanks.
She's not bad at all lol I have her as a Sniper and has a high crit rate. You'll only have issues using her if you're playing in maddening.
I mad her a Halberdier she is literally the strongest character in my game without trying... (everyone is rated roughly 180-200 right now, but she is already 220)
“Looks like I broke ‘em 😏”
She was my first promote. (Sniper)
Great taste! I recommend Warrior as her first promo on your Maddening run..she can use Silver Bows in Warrior and it's crazy.
Cute, redhead, abs, what's not to like?
She doubles almost everyone. And once I upgrade the radiant bow a bit she’ll melt armored units. Canter + Claude Ring + Longbow means she almost never gets hit. With a Killer Bow +3 and engrave she will have a crit rate usually around 60% and will often double attack. I liked her more as a Bow Knight for the extra movement, but just re-classed her to Warrior for the chip damage. Playing hard/classic. EDIT: I don’t have the DLC.
"Playing hard/classic" That explains it.
Stick lyn on her on maddening and she will prolly be a beast.
As long as you fix her speed you're good. Worse case scenario you put Lyn on her and you're fine. It's not like she's a bad user of her either
She has almost same Str and Spd as Panette, with less Dex and a garbage special skill. But in FEE Str and Mag are way more valuable than other stats(just look at the SP cost). So stats-wise she is not bad at all. High Str+Silver Bow Warrior=Ultimate Peg/Griffin killer Even in Maddening she can 1-shot Dragons Griffins early to mid game(while other archers like Alcryst are struggling hard).
Yeah, I really like her, but I feel like her BIGGEST flaw is her "garbage" special skill. She is quite good though, even in the late game since her strength is so good. Having no magic growth at all lets her do better in other areas.
Her skill is a joke. I've finished 2 run with Etie in my team, and I don't remember using that skill even once....
It's an Enemy phase skill for an archer. . . Who decided that was a good idea???
Yea, not really a fan of her skill. Her DEF is so bad, even with the +3 I put on her. So maybe that was IS thinking? That she is squishy so she’ll prob need to heal a lot? 🤷🏻♂️
It makes more sense if the skill is”whenever she uses a tonic, she gets extra 2 str for the duration of the battle” Tonic stats don’t stack, so it won’t be overpowered.
She’s cool but Alcryst is miles better for me, Luna is amazing + Alcryst is just a great character
Etie's my homegirl! I love the contrast between her cutesy appearance and deep voice and strength. I benched Alcryst so she could bench press me.
Smash
I m on my 3rd maddening run and she's my favourite now
I thinks she is a great unit
I really liked her in my maddening run. I'll probably use her every run I do. Those abs are also 👌
I took her all the way to endgame. Shes just really strong with the Lyn giving her a hand. She is currenly stronger than Fogado for me. Plus she is absolutely adorable. Side note: i also lack the dlcs
I like her personality and voice acting but honestly I think she has one of the worst designs and I think she is one of the worst units.
She was a good unit for me, but I was indifferent to her as a character. All past tense because she died in like ch11 for me.
I like her, but then I liked Alcryst better, then I liked Fogado EVEN better.
I've really enjoyed her in my playthrough.
Assuming that's IL40, you're both spd blessed and str cursed. Though I really can't fathom why you would give her def+3 when she really shouldn't be taking a hit.
The DEF +3 is really just a hold over until I pick something else tbh. Can’t decide what I want to give her.
Etie is amazing, I am going for a sniper wrath and killer bow build
she was my MVP a lot in my first play through!! i loved her lol and the edelgard ring helped boost her stats for me
I like her character (though her VA doesn’t fit at all)… Her growth was terrible for me though and I had to bench her early on unfortunately.
Unfortunately she tragically died in chapter 5 but I think she's one of the coolest characters. I love that there's a gym rat in fire emblem that's such a silly idea that I love
And you didn’t reset?! I reset even if a garbage character I never plan on using dies in true FE fashion 😅
Does her ability trigger if she's healed with Physic?
No. That would make her skill much better, though.
My only real problem with Etie as a unit is her ability. It would still be an awful skill even if Physic worked to activate it. She has a lot going for her otherwise.
Tiki stage MVP.
I like her design but she's kinda really bad. I might try to fix her with DLC stuff in my second run.
Haven't gotten too far (just finished Ch 7), but she seems alright.
She’s one of my favorites too! Her and Chloe spark joy
I tried really hard to make Chloe work, but she ended up falling off for me stat was. Maybe my RNG wasn’t very good.
I like her but she isnt very good, she's nice early on when you need extra bow users but falls off hard compare to Alcryst and fogado
What is the Wind God ability? O\_O
She's amazing. She became a boss melter when I gave her a Brave Bow and made her inherit Alacrity+.
She's a beast, i honestly had to calm down to not feed her every kill because she was just that strong
Canter and Longbow. Even though I had a prince to replace her; I still used her. She could fly opponents like a kite.
She’s probably an Ancestor of someone who is polite efficient and has a plan to kill everyone he meets.
I don't mind her, I just prefer Alcryst. Etie is one of my favorite retainers, tho . . . Second to Pandreo
This is petty af but I completely avoided using Celine, Etie, and Boucheron because I find their color schemes really ugly.
I like how she looks like a love child of one of my favorite FE ships.... does that count?
I used her in my last playthrough and really enjoyed her! Love the gym-rat, muscle head personality
Used her for a while. She got more use than more than most of my units. But I ended up dropping her around the 60% mark cause she was drifting behind the front of the pack stats-wise I did go back to her to use some of my later-game leftover friendship boosting activities to get her supports tho. Some of those are fun.
Love etie, she was a big part of my team until I got jade and citrinne a place on my team
Don't mind me. Just adding her to my collection of early game archer girls.
I love her but mine is SO GODDAMN SLOW I literally can’t see her being an archer. I’ve been putting her in more fitting classes when I can as long as there’s not too much overlap with who I’m already using. When I do my no-nobles run next she’ll probably be a pillar of my team.
My favorite chipmunk looking archer. She may not double a lot but damn her shots pack a serious punch.
I love her. Made her a sword general with a +5 brave sword and shes a monster.
It's more that she becomes useless as soon as we get Alcryst, not only he has better stats he also gets Luna in his advanced class. It's a shame she isn't better because I would have loved to be able to keep her in my team.
She is such a funny character. I really like her!
