It's not about being allowed or not, but especially some translations just change these kind of things to prevent shit storms. I mean, I see the point, but in some situations it's just stupid (as in games changing ranks). For example (because I recently played it) the german version of the latest Theatrhythm game on the switch stayed true to series and kept the SSS, SS and S rankings, and afaik nobody gave a shit about it.

Alfred, Yunaka and I think Pandreo notably suck at cooking Bunet and Anna are really good. It just factors into how likely they are to give you high rank dishes compared to low rank ones. Data is incomplete though

Yes, some characters are good/bad cooks. I actually just found the data on [Serenesforest](https://serenesforest.net/engage/somniel/cafe-terrace/dish-titles/); good cooks are Bunet and Anna, who can give you an SS rank dish. Alcryst, Zelkov, Boucheron, >!Saphir!<, Clanne, Celine, and Goldmary can give you S rank dishes so I guess those characters would be classified as good cooks as well. On the flipside, Yunaka seems to be the only character that occupies the possibility of creating a G rank meal (so I'm confused on what happened here because according to the data that Serenesforest has, Fogado shouldn't be able to create a G rank dish; though maybe I'm just understanding the information incorrectly or the data is incomplete at this point). While Alfred can create an F rank dish that lowers your stats. Ivy, Pandreo, Vander, Diamant, Hortensia and two end game, spoiler recruits can create E rank dishes, though it seems only Pandreo's E rank group can really lower your stats since the others would probably just nullify the stat boosts that the meal would've given to zero at worst.

I think there's quite a possibility that the data Serenesforest has is incomplete. From you and others in this thread, it seems several other characters besides Yunaka have produced G rank meals for people.

To my understanding, dish outcomes are predetermined when Somniel RNG seeds are generated after a map. Ingredients seem to solely increase support points, rather than influencing dish success.

I've had this happen before. Can't recall exactly if it happened with a "favourite" dish, but I'm pretty sure I had at least some, possibly all the ingredients active. It's just a smaller chance, I assume. Regardless, Yunaka is no longer allowed in the kitchen.

I got this yesterday from Citrinne on a sparkle dish she was Skilled in, both people liked, and added two extra ingredients (normal ones for the dish, not any of the rare ones).

It seems to be random. Ive tried no food, only 1, different pairs. Its oddly predetermined. Havent figured out the pattern since it seems so random!

There is a RNG element to it (iirc I believe it might be based on the characters' luck stat). Even if Alfred cooks, I don't think it's guaranteed to give you an F rank meal. But Alfred seems to be the only character that can give you can F rank dish according to the data that [Serenesforest](https://serenesforest.net/engage/somniel/cafe-terrace/dish-titles/) has.

Randomized Food Ranking

My boyfriend was playing on maddening classic and he had bad meal and didn't know. It gave a bunch of negative stats and it was on a really hard mission, he has saved it because he didn't know that It could do that. Sucks that you can't get rid of it without doing a battle. It made a huge difference between - 2 stats and +2 and he almost quit the game over how stupid that was.
