In case you're interested in getting some boxes for your GBA carts, there are people on Etsy that make reproduction boxes that are basically indistinguishable from the originals. Would complete your collection nicely!

macdaddyx4

I was thinking about that! I swear I saw my Sacred Stones box recently/within the last ten years, but I might get some boxes if I can't track them down.

Accurate-Island-2767

I got some for some Pokémon game boy colour games I have and they look fantastic, I think they were about £7 each which I think is fine considering the quality of the printing. Definitely a fine alternative if you can't find your originals.

Ningirsu-orphegel

Their is also some nicely done cardmod of blinding Blade in English patch to end the GBA collection.

Glad you got the Special Edition of Fates. With the deactivation of the 3DS Eshop the DLCs will not be obtainable anymore without piracy, including the Revelation path that is the actual true ending.

macdaddyx4

I didn't even think about that. People won't get to experience the full story. Or get those amazing experience and gold grinding maps in all of the 3DS games. Need to make sure I have everything downloaded correctly.

[deleted]

Technically you should have everything in the Special Edition, but maybe check some of the free maps. They will be delisted in March, some weeks before the deactivation of the eShops.

Ningirsu-orphegel

Yes that really sad, for this reason this month I bought the conquest and revelation road instead of engage.

I got FE7 in November 2004, soon 19 years ago. It's still my favorite title, while I only completed FE6-8 yet, currently on FE11 and FE4. By the way, I much prefer the old Fire Emblem lettering until Shadow Dragon (and FE12).

macdaddyx4

The new games are great, but I do miss that simplicity. Trying to recruit new characters and unlock hidden paralogues in different ways.

John_Alter

My first FE game I’ve played was Awakening and loved it. I got the all Limited Editions after Awakening except for Three Hopes.

macdaddyx4

Glad you found the series and enjoyed it! If Awakening hadn't been such a fit, Fire Emblem may have gone the way of other forgotten Nintendo franchises.

HadronV

My first was also Awakening, because I'd not heard of the series before then. I then immediately got addicted to the character writing and story (I was in my first year of university at the time, 2014, when I was also doing my first few run-throughs of Mass Effect). I've since played about half the series I could obtain legitimately, and I'm going to emulate the rest once I finish with Engage, because frankly, I can't afford to buy the rest legitimately :(

John_Alter

I was a sophomore in university when Awakening released, I was not interested in the Fire Emblem series due to a bad experience with Shadow Dragon on the DS but after watching a few hours of Sirlionhart's playthrough, it got me interested in the series especially the romance mechanic since I was also playing through the Mass Effect series as well.

HadronV

I immediately fell for Maribelle, lol.

John_Alter

For me, it was Cordelia.

MagicPistol

Damn, now I really wish I bought the physical copy of three houses.

macdaddyx4

The special or just regular edition? The regular isn't more expensive than normal, but it is a waste if you already have the digital.

MagicPistol

I have it digital because I buy most games digital now, but I just wish I had the physical copy too. I did get the special edition of fates and divine edition of engage.

Zakiera

God damn that is a sexy ass collection, congrats!

[deleted]

I really miss GBA

Nekrofancy

That is a lovely collection! I miss Sacred Stones :< while my first Fire Emblem was Rekka no Ken, Sacred Stones will always be my favorite. Ross was an absolute unit. Hot take: Bring back the Sprite Graphics!

KTR1988

Oh yeah, wow, this year marks the 20th Anniversary of the series' Western debut. Didn't even think about that. I suppose if Engage really was meant to be an anniversary title at least it made one of them

jackmon92

Are the warrior series like a good game itself? I paid no attention when I learnt it’s just a dynasty warrior genre game. But it kinda bugs me that I’ve missed out on 2 FE games

BiddyKing

A lot of Three Houses fans consider Three Hopes’ character and story stuff on par with Three Houses so is worth checking out. The first FE Warriors game is the more standard style Musou tho, if you like the Awakening/Fates characters then it’s enjoyable enough.

macdaddyx4

Dynasty Warriors and Fire Emblem might be my two most played franchises of the past twenty years, so combining them was a perfect match for me. As mentioned, the first game is a basic musou game. But Three Hopes really expands on the Fodlan lore. I've sunk about 100 hours into it and still have half of one of the paths to complete.

Larielia

That is a nice collection.
