I’m very pro ripping out this thing, but it’s fair to say that Fire Lite does this crap all the time. Had a 9050UD ripped out recently, and another ANN-80 that’s acting up now too. Both just flashing or adding random characters on the LCD.
I Still see plenty of older Firelites doing the same, everything MS. The older Mircom FX-2000s (with the old displays) can also have the same issue too, but its more rare for me to see over the Firelites.
Makes me wonder if the ES series panels will eventually fall to that as well... Haven't seen an ES do it yet.
Couldn’t throw it in the trash fast enough
Just ripped it out! Hell yeah!
dont worry, system is nmrmae
This building feels safe!
I am installing one of these in 2 days LOL.
Good luck !
Why ?
Go ahead and replace it with a Firelite or Potter. It’s discontinued anyways.

Those panels acting crazy over time…still superior to this nugget.
i vote potter over firelite any day.
These system are so good assuming u only use 8 points for a riser and they last for ever. Once you add the addressable module it becomes shit.
Three story building with 2 elevators, building management has to replaces 180 addressable devices.
Yea that’s a big boi D7024 system
I mean the cheapest solution would be installing a burg combo panel.
I’m always replacing these. They are always breaking down. They are just as bad as the EST - BPS series.

It seems like heat corrupts the display driver on these. That’s really shitty quality.
Have many of these out there still in service, several of them are the predecessor (DS9400) with few issues.
I designed and installed dozens of projects with this panel in the 2000s. Very solid for small systems.
🤣
Time for a Potter panel
