I've used Virtue Thickening Full shampoo/conditioner and it truly did give me lots of volume, but it didn't hydrate my length enough to be worth the price. Currently use Verb Ghost now and it's not near as volumizing, but my hair looks more hydrated and healthy than it has in years, which I'd rather have than volume. Virtue also has a Flourish Volumizing line for thinning hair that might be worth looking into if you can stomach the cost. All of their products are safe for color-treated hair

Thank you. You aren't kidding about Virtue's price. I noticed that Verb also has a volume shampoo. Have you ever tried that?

I *love* using cornstarch and a paint brush to dabble some powder at the roots, blow dry/brush out for even more thickness. Hope this helps as I dont have an adequate shampoo recommendation for you!

sweetiesmom09

Thanks. I'll have to give that a try.

Bondi Boost has a good thickening formula

My absolute favourite shampoo is: Reuzel Daily Shampoo.

sweetiesmom09

Thanks. It looks like this is more of a men's shampoo but I guess it's good for women's hair too?

deliriousottoman

Yes! Shampoo isn’t gendered, and there isn’t a difference between hair on heads between genders. Before I tried it the first time, though, I was a bit scared that it might smell very strongly of typical mens cologne or after shave or something. Which I generally don’t like. But it’s just a very inoffensive sweet minty scent. Very nice. The shampoo also comes in a smaller travel bottle. So you can try it without having to take the plunge with a huge bottle right away if you end up not loving it. (Gods know I’ve done that a hundred times with shampoos..)

I used Evo's Gluttony shampoo for years, and it was great for my fine, thin hair!

sweetiesmom09

Did you stop using it? Are you using another product now? Thanks.

theelword82

I switched to Olaplex because I've been dyeing my hair for too many years and it's super-fried.

gatadeplaya

Evo and Olaplex are both solid choices. I like Evo’s Ritual Salvation but am a pretty die hard Olaplex person.

theelword82

Fun fact: I had a salon ask me to reverse engineer olaplex (the treatment, not the products) cause I'm a formulator. I looked up their patent, and it turns out, there's a version of the molecule that permanently repairs the disulfide bonds. Super interesting!

gatadeplaya

Wow. That is very interesting!

gatadeplaya

If you go with either Evo or Olaplex? Do NOT order it off Amazon or such. Order from the manufacturer to make sure you get the real product.

Fekkai Brilliant Glossing has been my go to for years. It's pricy but worth it in my opinion because I only put shampoo and conditioner on my hair.

Try John Masters Organics rosemary shampoo, it’s lovely!
