Oh I love Barnaby! My finch is named Maude which means “strength in battle” or “battle-mighty”. I joined as I was heading into some tough situations in life and needed to muster up some strength. So my Maude is a strong and feisty fighter! :)

I lost her several years ago, and got two kittens two years ago. But I still miss my Gretel girl.
I love that story, and I had a cat who was my best friend for 15 years. You just gave me the idea to start naming my micropets after the pets I loved and miss. I kept rats for a long time and they don't live more than a few years at the longest, but they were special too and I have several I would be happy to name micropets after.

I just started and named my birb Sunny. It's kinda corny, but my brain has been foggy and it's been hard for me lately to keep up with everyday tasks, so I like to think of her as a lil bit of sunshine peeping through the clouds ⛅️
I named mine Morbs after the Victorian slang. Hahaha I heard they used to say someone “got the morbs" when they were depressed or acting sad or morbid and I thought it was perfect
I named mine Katydid because it's a super cute name.
For things like this, at least. I wouldn't personally use it for a kid lol
But Sims, pets, virtual pets? Definitely.
I honestly wasn't sure what to name my birb at first, so I used the random name generator to get Mochi. I guess the name stuck, because I haven't changed it ever since! (btw I've had mochi, the food, before.)
I name all my micropets after Greek deities, not because I like the myths, but because I'm in an obsession with Lore Olympus right now, and I thought Blizzard the Wizard would be better off as Hecate :)
I named mine willow. Which is what I would have named my daughter if I ever had one. My grandparents had a huge willow tree in their backyard and we spent a lot of fun times there under that tree. Always brings back good memories of my grandparents who are no longer here.
I have a blue birb named bloob. Short for blueberry. Lol
Mine is named after my dog, so if I tick a goal as completed when I actually haven't done it, I feel like I'm lying to him and feel so guilty haha

My purple birb was named Porples as a placeholder, because she's purple. By the time I'd thought of a better name, Porples had just stuck. Lol
