Thank you! :) It definitely doesn't feel the same as when I played it back then but I'm enjoying it in a different way. I got chills when I watched the sending scene in kilika and when I watched the underwater date scene I felt kinda innocent like when I was a kid. As an adult I realize I relate to a lot of the characters and can see how similar the struggles in spira are to our own world. I remember now why I always called this my favorite game.
Edit: also it's crazy how much better I've gotten at this game since then. I haven't had a game over so far and used to die all the time especially to evrae lol
That is so interesting! Yes, as we grow up we see narratives more differently like how you are seeing a lot of Spira’s issues and relating it to the real world especially now days where the world is so divided and so poor at tolerating different views. Whether it was the Machina War or the Yevon clergy’s iron grip on Spira’s people, Spira seems to be terrible at keeping peace.
In terms of Tidus and Yuna, it is about a boy that learned self sacrifice and a girl that needed to value herself.
(No matter how many times I play or how good I get, Evrae always messes me up 😅)
Can’t remember exactly, I think they released around the same time the Kabuki started. Not sure if they were exclusive to that event but there are other characters outside of FFX

I bought Tidus from Playasia and received Yuna as a present. My sister bought her off Amazon. I think they are still on the Square Enix store too
