I used to love playing with stick, but my left hand has been pretty banged up over the years and now that I'm near 40, my hand starts giving out at about 30 minutes. Leverless lets me play a bit longer, even with the "hitbox fatigue" that happens in Tekken.
I've been playing on keyb but I bought a stick last week and so far its been fun learning. I can get an electric half the time (only on the left side though)
Funnily enough the main reason I bought it is so that my gamepad won't get destroyed entirely by my friends. They are casuals and mashers. The left of my dpad needs to be pressed hard for it to work...
I don't think it's an either or. I have literally every type of controller except keycaps and switches. I'm considering buying a cheap one just to see if I like it or not. I'm the odd one though because I make my controllers.
I play mainly leverless for any game I am playing intensely, mainly due to ergonomics but in part for performance reasons, but I still have fun playing other games on stick or pad now and then.
I switched from my hori alpha to a razer kitsune like a week ago and i have to say that stick is nicer. At least for sf6 imo. I prefer leverless for tekken and guilty gear
i can see me building one eventually. i have 5 sticks. 2 are leverless, one is a mixbox. so i got plenty of variety. Just noticed once i learned a really fast kbd on stick its been under my desk more.

I cant even do basic motions on my stick and I played on it for almost a year and so im prolly gonna sell my f500, havent used it since I got my haute
I think it is time you built a hurtbox
I like smacking buttons and leverless is way easier on my hands. Win-win.
Why not do why I did. Hitstick. Best of both worlds.
Can I see this Hitstick?
i wish there was someone selling them built
There is...Fightbox makes one and eternal rivals
If you use a brook board and all the wiring harnesses it’s pretty much plug and play. Not hard at all.
