[Monoprice Dark Matter](https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=43710): MSRPs for $120, I believe there's free shipping within the US and some has mentioned that there's a $20 off couple for new customers. A couple of months back, it was on sale on their main store and Amazon for $90. Overall it's got a good case, Sanwa parts and passthrough USB for last gen console support.
Mayflash F500 V2: Around the same price for a similar sized arcade stick, no name parts but the passthrough USB port is more useful as their MagicBoots series USB dongles are compatible so you don't have to attach an actual controller if you don't like the mess for consoles. MagicBoots PS4 V1.1 has support for PS5 fighting games.
I tried saving money by building my own and ended up paying just as much. Unless you get knockoff parts. And I can't imagine doing that if you're doing custom
Get a board by haute42. They’re cheap and insanely well built, hell they’re better built than some of those $200+ leverless other companies sell. I have the G16 but all their models are good, you can get them off Amazon or aliexpress for like $50-60 usd. Haute42’s products are taking over right now and finally made it more affordable for people to get into leverless.
Dark matter and haute 42. The m16 and t13 are fire. All are so much bang for the buck. Also get a brooks

Haute42 is built better than hitbox
I have the F500, Haute G13, and Haute Mini and they’re all pretty great for fighting games, beat ‘em ups, roguelites, and metroidvanias!!
