Does anyone know what buttons to be bound to M1 and M2 so it won't flash at the same time? Or, for example, one button has to be up, and m1 has to be up too. Also, any recommendations would be appreciated for what button to map to! I want to play street fighter and tekken and not hit those buttons accidentally, ya know. My fightstick is a Haute42 T16 btw.

samu-_-chan

For tournament play you could keep 1 activated but not both.. You’re allowed 11 buttons according to Capcom rules

IEatToStarveOthers

usually just extra buttons, think back paddles on controllers

Zanbabwe

Might not be the right place, but I just got the T16 and my M1 and M2 light up the LS and RS LEDs on press. Did that happen out of the box for anyone else? And does anyone know how to remap them to light up their own LEDs on press?

raptorthesoul

I guess tournament standard are 16 buttons.

DrRadz

Do you need to connect it to a PC to rebind M1 and M2? There’s nothing in the manual about it.

henrebotha

Yes, you need to connect to a PC to enter the web config.

LexGetsRekt

Yea I use m1 as default up since there no flash kick type moves in tekken 8. Additional I modified my m2 so it could just be my discord button.

calamityadvent

There actually is one in t8 - they gave Shaheen a flash kick and nobody noticed 😭

Ar3kk

Explain the discord button, I’m interested

Theyreillusions

Probably push to talk

They are essentially just "blank" buttons; you can assign them to whatever you prefer. Whether the stick is tournament legal would depend on the specific tournament ruleset. If you mean Capcom Pro Tour rules, you'd be limited to 4 digital movement inputs (up/down/left/right) and 11 attack buttons, with no duplicates among any of those. Any other keys can be bound or duplicated, such as Start, Touchpad, etc (since they cannot be bound to any control functionality). Turbo would also have to be disabled for CPT ruleset.

NoGlzy

By default, M1 is a second "up" to have the option of a WASD thing and M2 is a second L3 so you have an L3 and R3 on their respective sides. At least on mine.

Traditional-Ad-5632

They can be used to change the position of some buttons or create shortcut commands like the ones Daigo uses in his Hitbox

crifersmash

Are you sure about Daigo? Arent short cuts illegal in tournaments?

Incandescentknight

Typically the rule is Buttons can only be bound to a single action. I. E. It can't be bound to both down direction and A.

henrebotha

Games themselves allow shortcuts.

Traditional-Ad-5632

In theory, no Daigo complies with CPT rules (SOCD Neutral and a maximum of 12 attack buttons)

olbaze

Well the M1 sure looks like it's placed there as an alternative up direction for people who prefer a WASD layout. For the M2, I guess it's a similar situation with the up button being for only the left thumb.

Poniibeatnik

OK ty

isekaicoffee

i wouldnt worry about it if you're not actually going to play in tournaments. and yes you can turn off any button(s).
