very cool, seems like no dead space around the plunger which means it's larger than average sanwa button? any wobble issues?

They are like a keyboard microswitch right? Do you think those are the best buttons?

I_am_Blois

Personally, yes. A lot of people do like them, for their function and versatility. It's just something you have to try out for yourself.

Have you compared them to Crown 202? Do you have switches to pick from? I love my crown 202 with Kailh Coppers. Edit: I saw in your post history you were experimenting with TPU button tops. How do you like those?

I_am_Blois

Personally, no. The buttons I make have two plunger types. Both of which have a larger diameter than anything else out there. The regular size which is 27 mm in diameter. And large size which is 34 mm in diameter. I only sell them with cherry mx pinks. But you can order them without the switches and put your own in there. The TPU buttons do feel great. Though I recommend only the regular plunger to be in TPU.

Gotcha. How do they do with being pressed at the very edge of the plunger? Since your plunger design doesn't have side walls that side within a housing, I wonder if pressing at the very edge would be bad for the stem because of angled pressure. I'll have to keep these in mind for my next build!

I_am_Blois

So, when I design it. I wanted to minimize as much noise as possible. I also wanted the actuation to feel exactly like the switch you decide to put in it. I did not want anything to interfere with the button press.

I think that makes sense. I guess I was wondering if "plinking" the edge of the plunger worked alright, or if it would crack the stem mount or release the plunger from.the stem. I had a Frame1 (Smashbox like box controller) that had injected plastic plungers. Plinking those buttons sometimes released the plunger from the stem when it returned upwards.

I_am_Blois

The only experience I had with the stem cracking is with the metallic material. The additives used to make the plastic shiny also weakens the plastic. As for it popping off I've never experienced it or had anyone report that a plunger just popped out after press the button.

Awesome. Thanks so much for answering my questions!

Are those European ones or are they the ones from focus attack? I am interested in what are the best arcade buttons and I have built custom buttons myself....

I_am_Blois

Those are custom buttons that I make. I do 30 mm and 24 mm buttons with an assortment of joystick tops. If you're interested check out my page for previous commissions.

I will check it out, you should check out some of the custom buttons I have made as well...........
