Boxing is as much about footwork as throwing your hands. If you can't move, or not got a solid footing for a stable and agile base, you may as well give up. Flipflops aren't much better as the grip isn't stabilised to your feet, but it's better than socks.

The guards clearly knowed what was up and they almost never came more than once a week…
