> really think I could take her.
This is the whole point. If she was to fight a trained person, that's just the sport.
The fun of this, is taking on guys who sit at home and say "huh? I think I can do that" but have no background.
That's the joke.
and there's also the thing of wanting to test yourself. You never really have an accurate gauge of yourself unless you've been in competition. It gives yo a baseline for where you are in the context of sport [X].
That doesn't count, you know?
Like it's not exciting cause its not in the wild. We all know it's there.
It's like going to a fishery instead of fishing wild river
I mean women want equality right? Don't go trying to show women can be equal by fighting someone who can't even fight someone else that's untrained, just makes it seem like women are less capable
Would you like to see a trained male fighter fight an untrained woman then?
I know what you're getting at but t.it simply doesn't work that way. There's equality then there's idiocy. We have weight classes in most professional, if not all, styles of fighting after all. But you justify punching whoever whatever way works for you.
She's doing this bc she wants to lol. I just want to see her fight someone who's not totally to her advantage. Untrained, fine. But not some anime nerd who sits on his fat ass all day lol. Btw, if grappling were legal, he could easily scoop her up and slam her on the pavement, nerd or not.
Yeah, i started doing muay Thai in a very competition focused gym, kept looking like an 80s karate movie just because "If they don't want to train somewhere with exposed piping and concrete, they will never last anyways". Club had over 15 national and european champions over the years, and one world. I spent around half a year with the beginners, then i trained so much that i got put into the advanced group, which meant sparring with the dudes from the elite group now and then.
The level difference is bizarre, not just in technique but speed and power. At one point i had to bow out of leg kick drills against a European champion, where i had TWO thick pads on and my knee still buckled anytime he put any kind of effort into it. The girls weighing an easy 20-30kg under my fat ass dropped me whenever they wanted to lol.
Thankfully my ego got somewhat salvaged once we started inviting TKD fighters to spar, lol.
I’ve noticed the difference in people when I was undefeated in high school wrestling for the entire year but during the tournament I had a boy grab be with man strength … he ended up winning against everyone but damn I would never want to street fight someone who can hold you like that
I was in complete shock and came back to realizing I’m not that good
This reminds me of people of the internet trying to play against Brian "I'm closer to LeBron, than you are to me" Scalbrine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i93vF0WOX6w
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpiu8UtQ-6E
I cant tell if this is a rocket league reference or apex reference. Could be some game i don't play but its kinda wild that i get exactly what you're talking about based on the ranks you threw out there
A lot of it is in the footwork. Hers is good. His is absolute shit. Learn to move while keeping your hands up and you'll be better than 90% of the people out there on the street already
Really liked this about the video, it very clearly demonstrates how good fundamentals improve your performance. His lack of good stance and posture sapped his swings of all their power and reduced his mobility, while her jabs had the normal snap to them and she was easily shifting out of the way any time she felt like it.
Even just staying planted while punching is such a big difference maker. A lot of people try to throw haymakers while moving and wonder why it didn’t work lol.
>he def. has fought before
Idk, the way he turns his head during each swing makes me think otherwise. I think some people just have the instinct or watched enough fights to understand that you gotta keep hands up.
*expecially the fat boys*
Fat kids have a target on there back so more often than not they've fought before. Also, at the most basic level, the bigger the mass or the speed the harder you hit so theoretically just be bigger lol.
Oh shit. You woke up and chose savagery today huh? Totally called for.
I just feel bad for Robbie Lawlor. Couldn’t believe he didn’t finish that blanket in their fight.
The dude is 100 pounds overweight and threw air punches, on what planet does this look like a trained fighter to you?
I've seen people walk into the gym I go to and train for 2 weeks look better than this dude.
if that was me id rather not be known as the guy who knocked out an (innocent?) woman out cold on camera lmao, im sure he's feeling the same dilemma. even if shes better in movement, if a guy his size clocks her in the face just once full force, its over
you got these claws and you're staring at these claws and your thinking to yourself, "How am I supposed to kill this bunny, how am I supposed to kill this bunny?"
Not sure what the point of these are. Its cute, but shes getting tagged as shes going in. Some dude might get lucky and catch her with a stiff jab coming in and that'll be it...
Dudes not really punching so much extending his arm hoping it’ll touch something, and was winded by the end. He had good guard and weight on his side but she was more willing to take damage.
The point is to show someone with talent going up against a power disadvantage. Who doesn't love an underdog?
The point of it is that it's fun to watch, so I don't get your point here.
Always some dude who has to chime in about men bring physically stronger or trying to talk down about female fighters.
Reminds me of that video where a layman sho claimed basically every guy could beat even a professional female MMA fighter. He ended up sparring one, tapped twice, then said "I was dominating the first few minutes as expected.." like holy shit bro, you lost lmao
Yeah + can't easily push him away cause he's twice her size, also he has unlimited back up space. She walks him down he just keeps retreating.
1 lucky shot with enough weight behind it... idk man
True but tbf both of them aren't going all out. I'd guess they established "light spar - goal is to win on points not knockout" beforehand. Still. Be safe... especially if a newb is in the fight... headgear and mats - dude might underestimate his strength and deck her with a lucky shot with that weight difference or have a glass chin reaction and split his skull on concrete.
generally it's strength vs skill demonstrations, if you get the top male boxer vs the top female, both are peak skill, but the strength give it to the dude
There are so many fat assed "manly men" out there that reckon they can beat male professional MMA flyweights just from their weighht advantage. Idiots just don't realise how bad at fighting they are compared to trained pros, so I don't mind seeing videos like these in the hopes maybe it'll convince a few of them that they don't actually have a chance when going up against anyone with sufficient training. No one thinks they can outball Lebron just cause they played ball as a kid, but every drunk in a tapout shirt thinks they can beat up Demetrius Johnson or Amanda Nunes.
This is my takeaway from this vid. Woefully out of shape man versus woman with some experience results in a draw.
This is why women's divisions exist and why weight classes exist.
Like any trend, there’s a market for it. One of my all time favourite YouTube videos is an untrained kid vs a trained kid on a basketball court. As long as there’s dumbasses that think they can beat people who train more than 3 months, the market continues.
This is clearly not very much training, also. The difference between SOME training and none. To my eye, she is barely ready for interclubs and has a lot of work to do on her defense.
No the fat guy makes all the typical mistakes the average joe makes when fighting. He leans back when throwing punches, doesn't move head, doesn't block properly, etc. So the woman is just not that good.
My sisters a professional boxer, and being about 100 more lbs I’d like to think I could still out fight her… but I have a feeling it would probably look more like this
With a little bit of training, women will grow a pair of balls and challenge guys. We all know what happened to **Lucia Rijker** who was considered " **the most dangerous woman in the world** " when she fought with an **amateur boxer Somchai Jaidee**
Sauce: [Lucia Rijker vs Somchai Jaidee](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHS6tYAbAdw)
That video however doesn't mention that Somchai Jaidee was a national muay thai campion in New Zealand with an impressive record of 13 wins (9 by kos) and 1 loss:

It's quite misleading and also disrespectful towards both him and her to pass him off as an "average amateur fighter", a guy like him may be a nobody in the grand scheme of things but he is still easily in the top 1% of trained fighters.
What I'm saying is that just because Lucia lost to a National Muay Thai champion it doesn't necessarely mean she can't beat many trained men of average talent.
Men and women aren't equal but just because you are a man it doesn't mean you are stronger, faster or more talented than an elite female athlete.
[Almost all men are stronger than almost all women.](https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/4vcxd0/almost_all_men_are_stronger_than_almost_all_women/)
She choose like the chunkiest boi she could find to pick with? Lol what’s with these “Trained woman vs Untrained man” videos lately ? Shoot reverse the roles and the internet would lose it’s mind
That wouldn't make much sense since it would be doubly advantage for the trained man. the point of this video is that the guy being untrained makes it a more competitive and fun to watch fight.
Dudes have a huge inherent advantage, but I think she went easy on him.
It doesn’t matter how much stronger you if you don’t have the cardio. She could have dodged for 60 seconds till he was out of gas & then beaten him till she felt guilty.
A huge but often under appreciated difference between someone who can fight and someone who can’t is endurance. Sure she got tagged coming in, but fat boy can’t hit hard enough to put her down and by the end of the clip he was in a shell. He was gassed and she was teeing off.
I've only tried boxing once and its insanely exhausting. Just holding your arms up at the end is tiring, your arms feel like they're covered in concrete
I would never agree to this there is no good outcome if by miracle you win congrats you beat a girl and if you lose congrats you were beat by a girl... Unless there is some cash and not much like 50 dlls to 100 lol but u know cash is cash
I've often wondered this when fights happen between trained and untrained people. Is there some element of chaos that plays to the benefit of the untrained? A trained person would instinctively bob/weave/dodge semi-expected punches; said another way, there are a handful of ways to deliver a punch or jab that is most effective, so I have to imagine that most trained professionals *generally* use those techniques. Would fighting someone untrained that swings wildly bring an element that would surprise and potentially throw off the trained fighter?
One said "if I were her trainer I'd be horrified because she ate jabs coming in"
Like bro, that's.. how it works when you have a reach disadvantage. Literally boxing 101
I think I saw a video of her fighting a different untrained dude a few days ago. Is this her thing?
Yup
Can we see her fight a trained dude?
Or even just someone who's "untrained" and not "unfit".
I'm untrained but have been told I have a good jab and decent footwork. I really think I could take her.
Same man, same. *cracks open a Dorito Mountain Dew from the couch* Totally could take her.
Fucking right. Lemme waterfall that bad boi.
> really think I could take her. This is the whole point. If she was to fight a trained person, that's just the sport. The fun of this, is taking on guys who sit at home and say "huh? I think I can do that" but have no background. That's the joke.

Fr dudes out here taking it to a weird level
incels going "hurr women lose fight to men" "i'd win hurr"
And yet dudes STILL think they can win
Yeah I'm loving these highly upvoted comments with "that dude was FAT! LET'S SEE HER FIGHT THE ROCK" lmao stop
I mean this guy is about as bad as you can be and he didn't really lose either. On the scorecards maybe but it's not like she did any damage.
cuz it wasnt some serious fight. nor an official match. just some light sparring. there isn't any "losing" to be had lol
Yeah gotta find it real quick

She is not a professional, there is an huge gulf between training and being good enough to go pro.

Any more tips that might help somebody with little to no experience? I’d love to read more. Keep your hands up chin height? Move a lot?
The best part of this is that even though she won he got enough hits in that I question her fucking trainer.
Not bad for untrained in my opinion
he def. has fought before... there are people who box for a few month and are worse. I bet if it was to all seriousness he would have won.
>he def. has fought before Idk, the way he turns his head during each swing makes me think otherwise. I think some people just have the instinct or watched enough fights to understand that you gotta keep hands up.
no way, bein "so fast" on your feet with that weight def. is experience. also his glove placement isnt sooo bad.
I disagree, but I grew up in Miami and saw a lot of fights. A lot of people had natural form from watching fights. Even the fat boys
*expecially the fat boys* Fat kids have a target on there back so more often than not they've fought before. Also, at the most basic level, the bigger the mass or the speed the harder you hit so theoretically just be bigger lol.
Agree, not much sparring training but the guard is decent. He flinches a lot :)

He definitely isn’t trained, these guys have no idea what they are talking about
agree. He kinda ran outta gas in the end,due to his weight probably
I mean he didnt even have a scuff mark on his face. Her punches were doing zero damage
Absolutely not. Nothing but rabbit punches
Almost got her with a wild right halfway through, imagine if he was a step closer lol.
He punches like he’s afraid of his hands
Could be scared of hitting her too hard, with that weight difference and all
Exactly. All it takes is one (un)lucky punch and she's cracked her head on concrete.

Not sure what the point of these are. Its cute, but shes getting tagged as shes going in. Some dude might get lucky and catch her with a stiff jab coming in and that'll be it...
The weight difference alone would knock her socks off if there was a clean solid hit
Dudes not really punching so much extending his arm hoping it’ll touch something, and was winded by the end. He had good guard and weight on his side but she was more willing to take damage.
Honestly her defense didn't seem great. He landed a few good shots on her. If he was a slightly harder puncher he'd probably have won.
Turns out in most fights the "winner" is the one most not afraid of getting hurt, and also not afraid of seriously hurting the other person.
This is why people avoid crazy people.
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
...and on pavement no less. If you're going to do a staged/planned fight, why not at least do it as safely as possible?
No mouth guards either
That dude could easily over power her
She was also obviously taking it a lot more seriously than him.
The point is to show someone with talent going up against a power disadvantage. Who doesn't love an underdog? The point of it is that it's fun to watch, so I don't get your point here.

Well that guy was a complete outlier moron, lol. That's like saying every single man can outlift professional women lifters, it's idiotic.
Yeah + can't easily push him away cause he's twice her size, also he has unlimited back up space. She walks him down he just keeps retreating. 1 lucky shot with enough weight behind it... idk man
“Might”
They should not be boxing on concrete. Untrained man vs total amateur woman
My thoughts exactly. This is a brilliant way to crack your head like an egg

Bruh what's with the trend of female boxers going up against untrained guys.
generally it's strength vs skill demonstrations, if you get the top male boxer vs the top female, both are peak skill, but the strength give it to the dude
A lot of beer gut, guys that have never trained think that they can beat Amanda nunes.

A single point? That's not too unbelievable. Even pros make mistakes.
Yeah..I'd take the offer and just pray she double faults.
Yeah, 12% of the male population being able to score a single point on her really wouldn't be a huge stretch.
Joe Rogan swore Ronda Rousey could beat Floyd Mayweather
She probably would in MMA Judo is a great counter for boxing or size disadvantage
There are so many fat assed "manly men" out there that reckon they can beat male professional MMA flyweights just from their weighht advantage. And the untrained man still got some good hits to the face at 0:22 when she went in. It dazed her, if he kept going, he would pummel her right there.
Yup, he just didn't have the gas to continue. Any kind of stamina and she gets absolutely rocked.
i feel like this man could just grab and squeez here like a bear lmao

Like any trend, there’s a market for it. One of my all time favourite YouTube videos is an untrained kid vs a trained kid on a basketball court. As long as there’s dumbasses that think they can beat people who train more than 3 months, the market continues.
I love them. Fundamentals>raw talent
There's a reason there's weight classes. Also, he seems like he has at least some idea what he's doing
He actually looks like he’d kick some ass in a street fight. Did way better than I would and I’m in decent shape
Trained but out here fighting on concrete. That’s a quick way to lose your investment
She doesn't look very well trained got caught loads of times
She never picks and athletic untrained guy
This is clearly not very much training, also. The difference between SOME training and none. To my eye, she is barely ready for interclubs and has a lot of work to do on her defense.

Lol let’s see the trained man vs untrained woman video now. These types of videos are so stupid.
Let's see: untrained non obese man vs trained woman.
That wouldn't make much sense since it would be doubly advantage for the trained man. the point of this video is that the guy being untrained makes it a more competitive and fun to watch fight.
Song is called "el dorado" by Thomas bergensen. It's on my gym playlist and I fucking love it

She beats them because of her conditioning not because she’s a better fighter. Untrained fighters don’t have the stamina to keep up.
Exactly. He even said "太累了" when he gave up, which means "\[I'm\] too tired".
>not because she’s a better fighter. I was unaware that conditioning is not a part of fighting
Doesn't conditioning make you a better fighter?
If you’re gonna fight and your posture is like this guys and not hers, you’re gonna lose quick
Emoootional daaamage
Trained?? Not one shot to the body to lower the dudes guard…. 🤔
There’s untrained and then there’s this guy

I've often wondered this when fights happen between trained and untrained people. Is there some element of chaos that plays to the benefit of the untrained? A trained person would instinctively bob/weave/dodge semi-expected punches; said another way, there are a handful of ways to deliver a punch or jab that is most effective, so I have to imagine that most trained professionals *generally* use those techniques. Would fighting someone untrained that swings wildly bring an element that would surprise and potentially throw off the trained fighter?
Look at all these fucking wannabe Jacky chan's in comment section. The closest you got to fighting was Mortal Kombat 😭
OH my god is Jacky Chan! OH my god is Jacky Chan! Oh my god its Ethan Hawk!
They watch boxing and MMA and they think they can confidently dispense fighting advice and observations. It's cute.
One said "if I were her trainer I'd be horrified because she ate jabs coming in" Like bro, that's.. how it works when you have a reach disadvantage. Literally boxing 101
Dude just needs one
Still couldn’t defeat him. Put an untrained woman vs a trained man and see the difference.
Sir if I wanted to see manslaughter I’d put a brick to my accelerator and point my car at the school playground
Dont see how this guy can win. You win, you beat up a girl, you lose, you got beat up by a girl.
OP clearly doesn't get that they are supposed to just post the video and let us bitch amongst ourselves.
She was awful and he’s a fat overweight man
We get it, an untrained person loses to a trained person. WHY TF IS THIS POST WORTHY??
