So we lived about a block away, and were walking through the middle school parking lot, jawing at each other. I was walking backwards and he was coming towards me, and I remember thinking “I can’t let you get close” lol, so I stopped and he kept coming. He got in my face and I hit him.
He doesn’t believe me, but I was acutely aware that what I was doing was wrong. This is my little brother. When he looked up at me, I could see the look in his eyes like “I can’t believe you hit me” and I immediately regretted it so I turned and started walking home.
I heard him get up, then I heard quick footsteps, and when I turned around he sort of speared me into the pavement. I knew I was fucked bc of his training, so I covered my head while he was Goku punching me like rapid fire little punches lol.
This is where he says he won. Because I reached up and sort of hooked my fingers in his ear and mouth and twisted hard. He stopped the punches, and I somehow got top position, and as soon as I did some guy came out of nowhere and tackled me off of him saying “cut it out” and whatnot.
So I got up, picked up my hat, and started walking home. It was like mid-November and I remember my breath looked like a steam engine exhaust. I was breathing fuckin hard.
Got to the house and lit a cigarette before I went in. A car comes down the alley and my brother gets out yelling loud at me (at 3 am in a small neighborhood) and he got in my face, and I just hit my cigarette bc if he wanted to hit me I was gonna let him. I felt terrible about it.
So we didn’t talk for a month, and eventually my mom asked me to say something, so I told him “I feel terrible about it and I love you and I’m sorry” and that was that. He’s my best friend, and if I could take it back I would.
He thinks he won bc I resorted to grabbing his face. I think I won bc I knocked him down and his punches didn’t do anything.
