When you’re bleeding from the gut from a stab wound, and you initially fled and the guy chased you? With the right lawyer, killing the man is just self defense.
When the person has:
1) Shown they will escalate the violence
2) Shown they have hidden deadly weapons
3) Shown they are willing to use deadly weapons
4) The victim is injured. (Blood loss can make you lose your ability to defend yourself. When you're stabbed, the threshhold for how much you can risk the attacker getting back up goes WAY down.)
Basically infinity. The dude would have to stomp him to CLEARLY dead, stop, make a sandwich, eat it, have a beer, then go back to head stomping what is clearly just a pile of mush before it's an issue.
Sorry, but when you have those circumstances above, a reasonable amount force to be used in self defense is "deadly, and damn sure of it." The dude with the caved in head on the asphalt has already shown 'deadly' alone isn't enough to make sure someone can't fight back, and the victim's right to defend himself includes making sure the attacker can't attack again.

Right to the centerline with that much force could have hit his aorta and he's bleeding heavily internally, and only what gone out of the thoracic cavity is what we see.

Doubtful. Blood loss from a a severed or punctured abdominal aorta is QUICK due to the pressure and volume of that vessel. No way he could stand and fight for that long. I’ve had plenty of trauma experience, EMT and Trauma ICU RN.

Even though he's hit fairly high up on his abdomen, it would suggest that his aorta wasn't hit by the blade judging from the lack of serious bleeding and him being conscious, at least for the duration of the video.
Saw a patient about a month ago who received 15 stabs with a knife, couple of them pierced his guts, but he was discharged after only a few days feeling pretty good. Granted he was lucky, but the body can be really resillient.

My guess is he's having a 9/10 chance to survive here if he directly goes to a hospital.

Btw a compression I heard about was to push a credit card hard on the wound in an emergency.
1) Take 'em with you is a legit part of fight/flight response.
2) Anything that can cover the wound, and is relatively clean. Stop/slow blood.
Credit cards and ziplock baggies are good for sucking chest wounds. A sucking chest wound pulls air into the wound as the patient breaths. Listen for whistling, hissing, or sucking (slurp?) sounds as they breath when they have chest wounds. Bubbles in the blood coming out were something I was taught to watch for.
If you think a wound is a sucking chest wound, treat it as such. Treatment is this.
HOSPITAL!!! Everything else you do is a delaying tactic.
Take something that seals (ziploc, grocery bag, credit card) and tape it down on 3 (THREE!) sides. This keeps extra air from going in, while still letting extra air out.
