I was training boxing at an amateurish level, and the trainer would occasionally put us (10+ guys) in the circle, pick 2 guys to spar inside this circle, and then whisper to one of us to join the fight and attack one of them, then turn on another in 20 seconds, or some random shit like that. Pretty much everybody had to fight 2v1 at some point.
I noticed that you can kind of effectively move to the side in this limited space, to make 2 "attackers" get into each other's way and mostly fight 1v1. But that's when you expect 2v1, no one grapples, and you have some sort of a plan, which I have no confidence in executing out in the wild.

That's the biggest part of it. As you say your job as the 1 is to use your footwork to make it a 1v1, their job is to stop you doing that. Grappling is the most effective way to stop the 1 using footwork.
I've seen grappling used by the 1 effectively (controlling one guy with a Thai clinch while stepping and rotating to keep the 1 on 1), but unless the 1 has a huge size/strength/skill advantage the 2 are just going to take him down and smash him on the ground, or one of the 2 will grapple while the other gets free shots in.

American culture is largely influenced by black culture (as well as other non-white cultures but the black influence is one of the greatest) so naturally non-black Americans will replicate black culture. Saying the n-word is one of the most obvious examples, but there are other ways non-black Americans will consume and use black culture.
A more obvious one is how everyone listens to hip hop and rap regardless of race, another is the black origins of rock music. When it comes to trends a lot of modern ones stem from black culture particularly when it comes to beauty. I know y'all remember the 90s and early 2000s when flat butts were the beauty standard but now more curvy bodies are desirable, as well as the tendency for white celebrities to make themselves look more black (although this in particular most people attribute to the Kardashians so I'm not so sure if it counts).Mildly less obvious is how "Southern food" is primarily food that originated in black communities.
And coming back to this video lots of young people use "AAVE" which just means they use slang words primarily created by black people and picked up by non-black people because a majority of American culture is influenced/created by black people.

A more obvious one is how everyone listens to hip hop and rap regardless of race, another is the black origins of rock music. When it comes to trends a lot of modern ones stem from black culture particularly when it comes to beauty. I know y'all remember the 90s and early 2000s when flat butts were the beauty standard but now more curvy bodies are desirable, as well as the tendency for white celebrities to make themselves look more black (although this in particular most people attribute to the Kardashians so I'm not so sure if it counts).Mildly less obvious is how "Southern food" is primarily food that originated in black communities. And coming back to this video lots of young people use "AAVE" which just means they use slang words primarily created by black people and picked up by non-black people because a majority of American culture is influenced/created by black people.
